Rain woke up the next morning as her mother prepared breakfast in the kitchen. She rolled over in bed and grabbed her phone. It was past eight a.m. Robbing her palm over her face, she sat up and started to dial Jenny, but stopped when she remembered the fight they had the previous day. She sighed and tossed her phone beside her and put her face on her palm. "Gosh, I shouldn't have said that to her."
