Chapter 8: Sugar Pink Liquor Lips

1730 Words
Madeline's POV "M-Marcos," his name rolled off my lips as I tried to catch my breath. I could hear and feel him kissing up against my stomach. He growled lightly and his fingers traced up my thigh.  "I want you, Madeline," he said softly. I looked down at his messy, blonde hair and his hazel eyes looked at me seductively. "I want you too," I whispered. "Say it again," he said and his tongue glided up my skin. My breath hitched and I quickly grabbed the sheets and held on tight. "I- I want you Marcos," I said. His warm hands slipped under my underwear and my neck rolled back and my mouth opened. A loud thud woke me up and my eyes snapped opened. Oh my god, I was in the middle of possibly the best dream in my entire life. I pouted and almost cried as I realized that it was still night time and I know I wouldn't go back to the dream. I slipped out of my bed covers slowly and rubbed my eyes.  "Who the hell," I whispered and yawned. I walked down the stairs slowly with my heart racing. I'm not usually the type to go and check something out. I like to hide under my covers and pretend like I didn't just hear something. But this time, I felt so curious. I strolled into the dining room and looked around. Nothing. My eyes glazed over the candles and white glass on the mahogany table. I walked out and looked around the living room for anything that could have dropped. My eyes were blinded by a bright light and I winced. My poor sensitive eyes were interrupted with this blinding pain. I blinked a few times and looked at the window. Somebody's headlights were on at this time. Who could possibly be going in and out of their homes at this time? I walked towards the window and pulled the shades down. My eyes were glued to the black car in the driveway of Jayson's house. I looked at the other cars in the driveway and saw that every family member in the house's car was off. Who's car is that in the driveway then? I went back to looking at the black car with the headlights on. A girl came out of the passenger side of the car and I squinted for a better look. She had long, blonde hair and that's all I could actually see. I could only actually see her figure and what she was wearing - a tight, black and gold dress. It was probably Jayson's girlfriend or something who was being dropped off. The headlights turned off and I heard another car door slam.  Another taller figure walked besides her and my face got closer to the glass window because from my view, I could almost recognize who it was.  I wasn't sure if it was him though. His face turned and I got a better look of his perfect jawline. Then, it suddenly hit me who it was. Marcos. What was he doing with this girl and why were they going to Jayson's house? Are Jayson and Kat planning something without me? The girl stopped and I could see her lips moving in the dark and then she looked over at my house. I froze. What are they possible talking about? Marcos nodded and I tried to read his lips. His eyebrows came down in a straight line and I could see he said "Who?" The girl said something and his eyebrows raised. He looked at my house again and said something to her. She walked away towards Jayson's door and he stood and watched her go inside. Then, he watched my house again. I was becoming nervous. Now, my heart was beating as he started walking towards the door.  "Oh no," I whispered. The lights in the living room turned on and I jumped away from the window. "Madeline? What are you doing down here?" A male voice asked. I looked at who was standing at the bottom of the stairs. It was my mom's boyfriend and he was rubbing his eyes. "Oh. Just looking outside, Sorry for waking you up," I apologized and walked away. I walked into the kitchen and that's when there was a knock at the door.  David and I looked at each other. He looked at the door weirdly and then walked up to it. He unlocked the door and looked at the person standing in front of him. "What are you doing here Marcos?" David asked. David knew him? "I'm looking for Maddy," Marcos said. I walked out of the kitchen and looked at the door. Our eyes locked and Marcos smiled. His dimples showed and I was literally melting. I looked at the floor to find an anchor from preventing me of blushing.  "Oh, she's right there," David said and leaned into the wall. He looked between us and then walked off into the kitchen.  I walked towards the door and remembered how horrific I looked. My face probably looked like a trash bag and my frog pajamas weren't helping.  "Um, hi." "Hey," Marcos said. I looked at him shyly and tried distracting myself by looking behind him. However, it was only woods and a car passing by. "Jayson's having a party next door. Somebody told me that they sent you a few texts. From what I can see, you haven't seen the texts, right?" he said.  "Wow, sorry. I just woke up right now from a noise. I haven't checked my phone yet. I don't know if I could go," I said and deep inside my heart was breaking from saying that. "Sure you can," David said behind me. I turned around and saw him eating a cookie and smiling. "Really?" I said. "If you sleep at Kat's house, I'll just tell your mother that you went there earlier to go shopping," David said. I looked at him in amazement. I don't even like him but he's a life saver. "See there you go," Marcos said and thanked David. "You should get ready." I turned around and looked at Marcos. "Um.. I'm going to walk over there now since Kat's really good with outfits," I said. "In those pajamas?" he joked. "Yup," I said and walked past him. I walked across the grass and saw that the house lights were on. I opened the door and everybody looked at me.  "Oh my goodness Maddy," Kat laughed and motioned for me to follow her. I followed her up the stairs and we walked in her room. •    •     • "I look like a hooker," I said looking at myself in the mirror. "You look like a hot hooker," Kat stated and then applied the last curl in my hair. She put the curling iron down and turned it off. She started playing with my hair and put some to the front. I can't lie, my makeup looked incredible. "You look so sexy, the guys will drool." Downstairs, the music was blasting and I could hear tons and tons of voices. "Where are your parents?" I asked remembering her parents' car in the driveway. "They're in Miami," Kat said. "They left last night and told us to keep the house clean. Why not throw a party and clean it up later?"  "True." She fixed herself up and then I followed right behind her.   "Oh my gosh, did I tell you?" She said. "What?"  "Marcos is here with Azaria," Kat smiled. "Everyone wants them to be together!" "Oh, is that the girl with the black and gold dress?" I asked. She nodded. "How did you know?" "I saw them get out the car together. What happened with Brittany?" I said. "Oh they're still together. Everyone just wants him and Azaria to be together," She said. I nodded and my lips went straight. I had nothing else to say especially since he's been trying to flirt with me - or so I thought. I probably believe that he's flirting with me but in reality he's not. Maybe I think he's so hot, and I actually thought I had a chance with him. I laughed. I looked over the stairs and looked downstairs. Everybody was talking and sitting around. "OK. Music and lights will go off again once I get everybody to take a shot," Jayson's voice boomed. Everybody followed him towards a table full of small glasses. They grabbed one, drank, and walked away. I followed Kat down the stairs and then I saw Ciara and Stella standing by the door. "Hey sexy!" Stella said and hugged me.  "I'm not sexy," I said and laughed. "Let's pretend we didn't hear that," Ciara said and rolled her eyes.  "Right?" Stella said agreeing with Ciara. "Music time!" I heard two voices yell out. I turned around and saw that is was the one and only, Kyle and Mason. "Hey," Mason snaked his arms around my hips and his face came into the crook of my neck. "Mason! If Fay were here, she would snap your neck. Get off of her," Kat said rolling her eyes. Mason let go of me and apologized. The loud music went back on and my favorite song was playing. Without thinking, I started singing the song out loud. "I’m miss sugar pink liquor, liquor lips. Hit me with your sweet love, steal me with a kiss. I’m miss sugar pink liquor, liquor lips. I’m gonna be your bubblegum b***h!"  "Hey, I like this song," Stella said. "The pools open!" Jayson yelled. Everyone looked through the glass window that lead to a backyard with a huge pool. People walked out there but I stayed looking for something fiery to drink. I told Kat to follow me and we found a table with a bunch of alcohol. I grabbed two glasses and drank.  "Wow," I whispered and my eyebrows raised. I coughed a few times but then Kat patted my back. "Come on Maddy! Be a champ," Kat said and passed me another glass. She drank one and I took it from her hands. I drank it and walked away from the table. "Candy bear sweetie pie, wanna be adored. I’m the girl you’d die for!" I sang.  Somebody stopped in front of me and I looked up. "You want to be adored, candy bear?"
