POWER

Chapter 6

Edwin and Rose looked at each other without any of them moving until Edwin flew towards her but she punched him up and flew into the air with him before he blew fire at her which forced her to separate from him. Rose roared before they started attacking each other with each attack creating waves in the sky. "Ohh no" Aisha said getting out of the castle followed by the armoured draganoids that went to check on both the white dragon and Razze. Aisha ran towards Eve who was covered in a pool of blood whilst keeping herself alive by healing the hole in her stomach which grew back slowly but was causing her tremendous amounts of pain. "No no no no no" Aisha frantically said hurriedly kneeling next to Eve in her blood with Eve grabbing and squeezing Aisha's hand hard as she continued healing herself. "You can do it Eve" Aisha said holding the hand Eve was squeezing her with whilst tears ran down both their faces."It's going to be ok" Aisha said trying her best to smile but could not stop showing the fear and worry on her face. Rose crashed close to them and slowly stood up before looking at them for a while whilst panting. Her black aura then increased as she got angrier and she grabbed Edwin who tried flying into her and threw him across the ground. He tried flying up but Rose jumped grabbing one of his wings and used it to put him back to the ground before she stepped on him and ripped it off. She then ripped off his other one and threw them both away but he managed to blast her away. Edwin stood only to be met by ferocious attacks from Rose who quickly recovered from his blast as her black flame aura covered her gauntlets and started making his armour break apart. When Rose was about to punch him in the chest with a large amount of aura covering her right gauntlet his armour started glowing and he held her attack with ease as her aura went down. The symbol which was now dark purple appeared on his armour which it fixed and also regrew back his wings. He then kicked Rose away remaining with her arm which he dropped to the ground. Rose slid on the ground using her feet until she stopped and looked at the black blood spewing out of where her arm used to be but she just growled as another arm burst out and the gauntlet reappeared on it. She rushed up to Edwin and attacked him but he blocked all her attacks before throwing her into the air. She stopped herself and looked down to see him gone. He then appeared behind her and, with the symbol glowing, blew an enormous amount of fire at her which covered and set the city behind her ablaze. She tried covering herself in black flame aura to protect herself but it wasn't enough as the flames started burning off parts of her body until she roared as she disappeared within the flames. Edwin stopped and watched the city burn for a while but when he was about to fly into the world gate he stopped and nodded. He then crashed onto the ground next to Razze and grabbed her but when the armoured draganoids attempted to stop him he just spread his wings which blew them away. An arrow hit his armour and he looked down to see Arthur crawling towards them with his bow and his eyes flickering as they tried to glow but Edwin just stepped him into the ground leaving him bleeding heavily. He then carried Razze and went with her into the world gate before it closed.......

"Impressive" Elina said as Edwin appeared in the room from the world gate and dropped Razze on the ground. "It looks like you took my words to heart, well done" Elina told Belcwin who was preoccupied by Razze who he was examining. "An actual dragon" he said about to touch Razze but she roared and looked up to try to blast Elina and Belcwin with fire. "Still have the same lousy hot breath I see" Elina said using her aura to stop the fire before the aura created chains around Razze's mouth and body. "You're gonna help me achieve so much" Belcwin told Razze who growled as he patted her."But I must admit the power those symbols posses is astounding " Belcwin said focusing back on Elina. "Why don't you just use that for your aura instead?"

"They have impressive power I admit but it still finishes so it will just be delaying the same situation I am in now"Elina told him." I see" Belcwin said thinking. "Now then" Elina said waving her hand as the symbol floated off of Edwin's armour stopping it from glowing and it turned back into its original colour. "Time to get the next one" she said about to send the symbol into the world gate but then it suddenly closed leaving the other symbol floating. "No" Elina said trying to open it again but it just opened a bit before closing again. "No!!!!!!" she shouted blasting Edwin who flew into a wall. "What's wrong?"Belcwin asked but Elina looked at him with her eyes glowing and he flew onto a wall and didn't fall as a pressure kept him on it. "HE CLOSED MY WORLD GATE!!!" Elina shouted as Belcwin felt himself being pushed harder into the wall. "Isn't there another way to access worlds?" Belcwin asked her trying to move but failed."Crossing worlds is no mere child's play and that gate took me a long time to create" she told him as she continued fuming. "I might be able to find a way to open another one" Belcwin told her and Elina looked at him for a while before he dropped to the ground. "If I study the power structure of the symbols I may find a way to open another world gate but it may take a couple of days" Belcwin said slowly standing up. "Go and make sure you finish before I get too impatient" she warned him waving her hand as the symbols went onto Edwin's armour before he bowed and made a portal that he and Edwin who picked up Razze again walked into before it closed."That b***h deserves what's coming to her " Belcwin said angrily as he moved around the room whilst Edwin placed Razze on a giant metal table that had dry blood on it. Razze looked around and saw several skeletons and bloody corpses of different creatures and people decorating the walls of the room."And with your help and the power that Edwin has acquired my plans will move much faster than I expected" he said smiling wickedly as he picked up a still bloody scalpel and looked at Razze..........

Rose opened her eyes and found herself standing in the land of flames. She was suddenly jumped on by a person who she pushed off her. She looked at the person and saw it was a copy of herself in her demon form with the helmet and gauntlets. Rose found herself now holding a sword and blocked an attack from her demon self who also now had a sword but it was black. She continued to block its attacks but was finding it hard as its attacks began to grow stronger and stronger until she narrowly dodged one that almost took off her head but managed to cut her. The cut felt like it was burning and gave her a lot of pain but her demon self didn't stop and continued attacking her.It continued to cut her bit by bit as Rose continued trying to block its attacks with the pain becoming unbearable for Rose until she fell to her knee gasping for air. It then walked infront of her and looked at her before slicing her throat as all her cuts burned with black flame and Rose screamed in agonizing pain holding her throat which was also burning. "Rose!!!" she heard Aisha shout making her wake up drenched in sweat whilst panting heavily. She looked around to find herself in a field surrounded by dragons and draganoids either helping the wounded or talking with each other whilst Aisha sat next to her holding her hand. "You looked like you were in a lot of pain, are you ok?" Aisha asked looking at Rose concerned. "Ya, I'm fine" Rose replied examining herself finding burn marks around her body whilst also covered in bandages. "What happened?" she asked Aisha. "After you awakened to fight Edwin he managed to overpower you and we thought you had died as you vanished in the fire attack he used on you which also set the whole city ablaze but after a while you flew out from the flames of the city and collapsed around here" Aisha told her." Wait it actually lost!?"Rose said surprised and Aisha nodded. "I can't believe it" Rose said still trying to believe what she heard whilst also feeling a bit worried."Wait how are Eve and the others? "she asked Aisha. "When I met Eve she was trying all she could to heal herself and was only barely able to close the hole in her stomach before her aura depleted making her pass out and the draganoids attended to her but for Arthur I don't know as I only saw him covered in blood whilst other draganoids carried him away"

"What about Razze and the king?"

"The king is doing better but Razze...."

"Razze what?"

"Razze was taken away by Edwin" Aisha reluctantly told Rose who looked at her for a while before looking down. "You were wrong" Aisha said crying.

"About what?"

"About power not being everything"

"Aisha....."" No if I had it I could've at least tried stopping him from taking Razze and maybe even prevented you guys from getting this terribly injured"Aisha interrupted Rose and continued crying. "You're right" Rose said and Aisha looked at her confused. "If you had power maybe you could've done something but still that would have left you as injured as us but you weren't, you were able to stay by oursides as we recovered helping and comforting us through the pain" Rose told her."To me the power you have to help us pull through is more than enough" Rose said trying to stand and Aisha wiped her tears before helping her up."See you're already doing it" Rose said making Aisha laugh a bit."Wow" Rose said looking in the distance at the destruction of the city with some smoke still coming out it. "Ya, they managed to get everyone away from it when it was still ablaze but made sure to carry out most of the medical equipment from the higher levels of the castle that took longer to be affected by the flames" Aisha told her."I though dragons could take the heat" Rose joked looking at Aisha who shook her head. "This flame was cursed and was even able to kill some of the dragons"

"It's good to see you finally awake" an old draganoid with a long white beard who wore a long white scaled robe said walking towards them whilst being followed by a male red scaled armoured draganoid who was covered in bandages. "How are you feeling dragon king?" Aisha asked whilst Rose looked at the armoured draganoid the king came with who frowned as their eyes locked onto each other."My power is still steadily replenishing but overall I feel fine" he replied Aisha smiling. "You guys have already met Blaze I believe" the king said putting Aisha's attention to the draganoid standing behind him. "Ya, we've met" Rose said annoyed continuing to lock eyes with Blaze as the tension around them increased. "I'm pretty sure you're worried about your friends so let me take you to them" the king told them nudging Blaze who stopped locking eyes with Rose and followed the king who started walking." I get him being agitated by you but why are you angry with him?" Aisha asked Rose as they followed them walking past the dragons and other draganoids. "It's nothing" Rose said as they stopped next to the king and Blaze who stood in front of both Eve ,who had a bandage wrapped around her stomach that had a bit of blood on it ,and Arthur, who had bandages wrapped around both his chest and arms including the top part of his head, whilst they were surrounded by some draganoids that sent their aura into the white aura that surrounded both of them which was making them float in the air. "They were in very critical conditions whilst having an alarming shortage of aura with the woman still suffering from the wound she didn't complete closing in her stomach and the man having all the bones in both his chest and arms brocken but the bones in his chest pierced his lungs and pricked his heart" the king explained to Aisha and Rose. "Right now using my power I was able to slow down the rate of which their shortage of power and the injuries increasingly threatened their lives whilst our dragon healers try their best to take them away from death's door and into a more stable condition" he continued. Rose, whilst still being helped by Aisha, walked to Eve and put her hand through the white aura. "Eve" Rose said stroking her head. Suddenly they heard a loud sound and saw white balls of aura forming some distance away from them which joined together creating the guardian who fell to his knee gasping for air. "What happened to you?" Rose asked as she and Aisha accompanied by the king and Blaze hurried to check on him. "I was able to close Elina's world gate to slow her down but at the cost of me growing substentially weaker and temporarily losing my spatial room" he told them standing up. "But knowing Elina I'm afraid it won't take long until she opens another one"

"Even though how are we supposed to stop her exactly, did you see what she did to us here?" Aisha asked waving around. "That's the other reason I closed her world gate, to give you guys the vital couple of days you need" he said confusing both Aisha and Rose. "To do what?" Aisha and Rose asked in sync and he looked at them. "To get you guys stronger" he told them and walked towards Eve and Arthur."We need to use the healing pool" the guardian said examing both of them whilst they were still surrounded in white aura as the draganoids that were healing them had stopped because of him. "What!!?" the king shouted not believing what he heard from the guardian but Aisha and Rose looked at him confused. "They can't handle it in their condition"

"It's the only way" the guardian told him and the king shook his head. "What are you guys talking about?" Aisha asked them. "There's a sacred pool that can be summoned and those put into it can be healed of any types of injuries no matter how severe they are" the guardian replied her. "So why aren't we putting Eve and Arthur in it?" Rose asked him. "Because of what it does to people when they're in it" Balze replied her. "What are you taking about?" Aisha asked. "In exchange of healing them it gives them a great deal of pain depending on the magnitude of what needs to he healed" the king replied her. "So if we put in Eve and Arthur" Rose said and the king nodded. "They'll suffer excruciating pain far beyond any they've ever felt and I fear their minds will not handle it and collapse"

"But if we continue healing them this way it'll take far too long" the guardian said a bit frustrated."And we need their strength for the rest of this journey"

"You're right but ultimately it can't be our decision to make" Rose said and everyone looked at her as she looked at both Arthur and Eve."I agree, isn't there a way we can talk to them in their state?" Aisha asked the king who thought for a while. "I could try allowing you to communicating with their minds but only for a little while so as not to effect the aura I put around them" the king replied. "Do it" Rose said and the king's eyes turned white with the aura surrounding both Arthur and Eve starting to glow. "Speak to them but make it quick" the king told Rose and she nodded. "Arthur, Eve, there may be a way to heal you guys but you're gonna have to endure pain that will push your minds over their limits and we need to know if you are up for it?" Rose told them and they waited anxiously for a while. "Yes" they heard the aura surrounding both Arthur and Eve's bodies say in sync in their voices before the aura stopped glowing and the king's eyes turned back to normal."Are you sure about this? " the king asked Rose and Aisha. "If they said they're up for it then we're doing it" Rose replied and the king sighed. "Whatever happens after this is on you and your comrades" he warned them before bitting down on his hand which started bleeding white blood which he used to create a circle around Arthur and Eve whilst Blaze made everyone move away so as to not interfere. He then touched part of the blood circle he created and poured his aura into it which started flowing around the circle before the blood started spreading and filling it. When the blood completely filled the circle it started to flow around as it turned into a white pool that was glowing.He then waved his hand as the aura around Eve and Arthur slowly moved them into the pool which then glowed brighter. For a while nothing happened until they heard both Arthur's and Eve's screams coming out of the pool which started bubbling rapidly. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all" Aisha said growing increasingly worried as the screams intensified. "They'll be fine" Rose said trying to comfort her but couldn't stop her own worry from increasing. Suddenly they saw hands emerge from the pool and both Arthur and Eve crawled out of it gasping for air whilst steam emitted from their bodies. The pool then flew up from the ground before dissipating leaving the part of the ground it was on dry without any grass. Arthur and Eve looked at them for a while before collapsing......

Eve opened her eyes and found it was night time and she was lying next to Rose who was talking with Arthur and the others around a fire. Rose stopped talking when they noticed her as she woke and got into a sitting position. "Hey, we we were getting a bit worried about you" Rose told her. "Did something go wrong?" she said examining herself to find all her injuries healed.

"We thought your mind had been damaged from what you experienced" the king told her. "No, I'm fine but I never want to experience anything like that again" Eve said remembering the pain she felt ." The only way for that to happen is for you guys to start training in the days we have remaining" the guardian told her. "We've decided to split you guys and take you to separate locations for some serious hard training"

"Rose will be with the guardian and Blaze whilst me and my people handle you guys, including Aisha" the king said and Aisha looked at him surprised. "I'm, also training" she said pointing at herself and the king nodded. "Not having power isn't an excuse to not try to get stronger" the king told her and Rose hit her lightly on the shoulder. "Don't wimp out" Rose said smiling and Aisha nodded unable to hide the excitement from her face. "How will will we know if Elina has opened another world gate?" Arthur asked the guardian." I'll be able to sense it when that happens" the guardian replied him. "Hey, why haven't those burns on you been healed?" Eve asked Rose seeing the burns on her body. "They can't" Rose replied her and Eve tried to heal her but it didn't work. "Don't worry the training we're going to do will probably fix that" the guardian said and Rose looked at him trying to understand what he meant."You guys better get some sleep cause your gonna need that rest for tomorrow".........
