Chapter 43

Angela's POV

I was hurrying outside today; the new recruits were graduating, and Macey was one of the top warriors. I was so proud of her; she did so well. I couldn't wait for her to get her sword and shield. Yeah, she was training to be a guard and warrior, but she would mostly be a warrior. The only time when she was going to be a guard is if she is really needed. Austin stopped me when I was walking by his office.

"Hey Angela, can you come inside for a few minutes? The graduation doesn't start for another hour. I have some news for you and for Macey and the rest of the warriors." Goddess, I hope it's nothing bad. I wondered what it could be. So I walked into the office and sat down in front of the desk.

"Now you know you're not just going to sit there. Come over here and sit in my lap, silly woman," he said with a smile. Walking over to him, I flopped down on his lap, and he went, "uff." I laughed when his face turned red.

"Sorry, I'm just eager to get out there and watch the graduation."

"Well, it won't start unless I come out, so you won't miss it, honey. What I want to talk to you about is that Alpha Parson wants a warrior challenge to see who is the strongest. It's a friendly competition unless someone wants to challenge someone, but the parents should come as well. It's kind of weird that they are asking for parents to come because we all know if their pup loses, they could get pissed. What do you think?"

"I think it's a good idea. Some of the young warriors have parent warriors. Macey's mom is a warrior, so she could definitely come along. She could join in if she wants or stands on the sidelines to watch Macey." I knew I had him then; he would agree with this. Rose is a fighter; she comes out and helps teach and show new moves. She's not easy on Macey, and I wouldn't be either. She has to learn, and now she is one of the top warriors. I wondered if she would just be a warrior. I'll need to talk to her about it, or better yet, she could be my gamma. I already had a female beta. Why not a female gamma? That's it, my gamma warrior. Now that is badass. Yeah, I just made that up. After our discussion, we agreed to go. It's in a few months; training is going to get really hard, but in the end, they will all win. We sent the email letting them know we will be coming. Then Austin got something out of the desk. It was an award.

"What is this for?

I have twenty of them. They are for graduation and for the top warrior. Come on, let's head out there; they are all waiting for us, and I know some of them are nervous. I'm going to let them know what's coming up, and then I will hand the awards out. We made it outside; so many people were here watching. All the parents were sitting and waiting. We walked up on stage; then Austin started with the speech.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are all here today because our warriors are graduating. They went through five weeks of h@ll to be the best they could be, and I am very proud of them. Your Luna is very proud of you as well. Now, before this all begins, I have an announcement: Alpha Parson is inviting us to a warrior challenge to see who is the best and strongest. It's supposed to be a friendly challenge, but sometimes it can get rough due to others wanting to challenge you to win something or to get something. The new warriors will be going, and the older ones as well. Parents are welcome to join; you are all invited. But if your pup does not win, do not get upset; it's just a friendly challenge. Do not make our pack look bad because we are not. Alright, this is what you've been waiting for; let's get this done. Today is the day your pup graduates; they have worked hard and done well. They walked away sore from the top to the bottom. They will no longer be living with you; they will be living in the warrior section. So, your pup isn't your little pup anymore; they are all grown up. They will be coming to pack all their things to move into the warrior section. Alright, let's begin; I'm going to call your name. Please come up and get your reward and your diploma.

Josh, please come down. Verica, please come down. Stacey, please come down. Robert, Kenny." He kept going on and on. I was starting to get worried that Macey didn't make it. I wanted to bite my nails, but it wouldn’t look good as a Luna chewing on her nails, so I waited and hoped that Macey had made it. Then he finally called her name. I wanted to jump up with joy; I was so proud of her."

"Macey, please come up and stand next to me, Luna. I have something to say. Macey, you are now one of our top warriors. Your mission is to go out with the strongest warriors and train with them to get even stronger. It's going to be rough, but you will get through it. Alright, everyone, please cheer for your new badass warriors."
