invite the parents 29

Chapter 29 Alpha Parson POV Today is the day; I have the warrior arena. I think everyone needs to have one of these; everyone should have a warrior competition. I sat at my desk wondering who the heck I should invite, so I got on the file of alphas in their packs. None of them had photos of their warriors. I didn't either; it was safer that way. If any of us knew, we could easily take them down, and then we could overrun a pack. So, it was better not to have anyone's warrior photos in their files. I saw who I wanted to invite. I wondered if anyone would write back to me. Let's just hope they do. “I don't know, Parson, it's been a long time. What happens if she doesn’t want us?” “Dude, you're the one that has been hounding me for years to find her. Now you're chickening out.” “No, I'm not doing that; I'm just worried. We should've marked her that night.” “Well, I was drunk, and so was she. I didn't want her thinking I was marking her to trap her, but if we had marked her, we would have found her by now." My wolf knew I was right. Maybe I'll find her at the warrior challenge. What will I put down? I think I got it until my wolf said it for me. “How about we invite the parents as well? That way, the parents could cheer them on.” That sounds corny but a good idea. He was right; it sounded really corny, but what the heck? Why not? I asked my beta to help. He looked at me like I was insane. “Dude, are you seriously asking the parents to come? Do you realize if some of them lose, the parents might get pissed off?” “Yes, but I'm trying to find my mate.” “You mean you’re still looking for the girl you slept with. Do you realize how long ago that was, man? She could have another mate, then a child. What are you going to do if she is mated to someone else?” I didn't think of that. Then I thought of something: if she is mated, I'll challenge him. “Alright, I already have that planned. If she is mated, I’ll just challenge him. If I don't kill him first, he has something that belongs to me, and I will not let her go a second time.” ‘Alright man, if you say so, I'm with you all the way on this, but if this goes bad and she hates you for killing him, don't hurt her. She might hate you even more. What was he saying? Why would I hurt her? She might hate me, but she would learn to love me even if it takes a lifetime. Macey POV The next day, I couldn't wait for the morning to come. We were going to spar against each other. Mrs. Evans told us we better not hurt each other on purpose, or we would get suspended and then kicked out, something I didn't want to happen to any of us. When the two am timer went off, I hurried out of bed. She wanted us out there at three a.m., so I hurried to shower and then got dressed. I heard people hurrying around to get ready. Kevin, Cherry, and I, along with the rest, hurried out of there. We made it to the training field on time. We had one minute left when we arrived. Mrs. Evans was smiling when she saw us. We lined up like we were supposed to. When she came forward, she walked back and forth, looking at our feet. She does this to make sure we are wearing the right shoes. If we weren't, she would make us go and put the right ones on our feet. "Alright, we are warming up before the sparring, so let's go. I want to see eighty laps. You know the drill. I don't think I need to tell you what to do. Let's get those legs moving." We did our eighty laps. I was glad that we didn't have to wear those weights on our ankles or wrists. We did our push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and all the warm-ups she told us to do. By the time we were done, we were huffing and puffing, but my wolf kept telling me to push it to the max. We are getting stronger. It's almost time to show ourselves. I had no idea what that meant. It was soon to be my birthday, and we would shift. I knew it would hurt because I had only done it once. Once the warm-ups were done, she told us to pair up. Whoever we paired up with, we would spar with. I had no idea who would pair up with me. I watched as everyone paired up with each other. Cherry walked over to me, chuckled, and then said, "I guess it's just you and me. No one wants to pair with us." "You know what? It's okay. Let's show them how to do this." Her eyes widened with excitement. She giggled and then said, "I hope they are ready for us. Just make sure that when we do this, we really do this." Nodding, I knew what she meant. She had something to prove as well. Her parents thought she was weak. This was her chance to show them that she wasn't weak. No one else knew, but she came to my room the other night and told me her story, and I told her mine. We both agreed to be friends and help each other. Today is the day. I had something to prove to my dad, and she had something to prove to her parents. We couldn't see them, but we knew they were around somewhere. "Alright, guys, I want you to get on the mats, face each other. Once my hands land down at my sides, I want you to start sparring. One of you will strike, and the other will block. I will give you twenty minutes, and then we will switch. After the second time, then it will be full-on sparring. You will fight, but do not hurt each other on purpose. If you feel like you're getting angry, then hold your arms up and step away. Alright, let's go. Get on those mats."
