Do I dare

“Can I have a minute to speck to Jaxon and then we will talk” I say to him with a reassuring smile. He nods at me but give Jaxon a death glare as he exits the room.

“What am I going to do!!!” I practically whisper yell at Jaxon.

“You can’t fight the meat bond Amara. No matter how much you don’t want to or how much you try he is your destiny mate.” Jaxon states

I know he’s right but I didn’t want a mate. At least not right now. “Would I be a terrible person if I teleported out of here and didn’t come back” I ask partly joking partly not. Jaxon just gives me that look like; you better be kidding.

“I am going to bring the Alpha back in here then hopefully we can continue the meeting about the rouges as well. DONT teleport out of here please.” He says to me as he leaves the room.

A few moments later Lucas comes in and sits next to me. “I have decided to give you a chance. Let’s get on with the meeting and we will talk after.” He was so excited. Man that cheesy smiles makes my heart flutter.

The other members come in and sit down. I speak up for the first time.

“So we are here to discuss your rouge problem. What is the problem. Can you not take care of them yourself.” I say looking around. This seems to tick off many alphas. Alpha John seems pissed now.

“Well we can to have a meeting with A not you. The rouge are working with vampires and they are taking unmated females. Some return days later. You can imagine how what happened to them.” He says to me with a growl in his voice.

I look at him allowing the power to roll off me. “It’s a good thing that you wanted a meeting with A because I am here. Do you know anything about the vampires that they are working with or who/what they are looking for?”

Everyone is looking at me in shock. “Your A Lucas” Says to me.

“Yes I am. I kind of feel into this. I took out several slayers and hunters to help over the years and started to help more and became this Idol. Everyone assumed I was a man and we use it to my advantage.” I say to them all still in shock.

“But if this information leaves this room I will hunt you all down and kill you” I say with a smile

“Jaxon Put a few feelers out and make some calls to see if we can find out who the rouges are working for and what or who they are looking for”. Jaxon nods and excite the room to make calls.

“We will have another meeting in a few days when we have gathered some information.” I said as everyone got up and leaves the room except Alpha John and Alpha Lucas.

“So what are you exactly” Alpha John says to be with venom in his voice.
