Chapter 1
I gazed across the classroom as students started entering one by one. Yeah... There were hot chicks. But I wasn't interested in them. I was looking for that one girl. Rachel. She walked into the room like she owned the place. Perhaps because she did. She was confident and very popular. To top it off she was beautiful. The best thing was she was mine. My girlfriend. My world. She strutted over with a group of giggly girls. Her brown hair flowed behind her in plaits of beauty. My cheeks grew hot just looking at her. Our eyes met and she grinned at me in a way that made my belly turn over. "Miss me babe." She said sitting beside me and reaching for my eager hand. "You bet" I muttered. Her girl friends looked at us and blew kisses, mocking us like usual. Yet they didn't understand what we had. The way I felt about her was a way I'd felt about no one before. She was special. Every moment with her was precious to me. The bell went for break and I guess that was my first warning sign. Rachel always waited for me after class but instead she rushed off immediately, not even waiting for her friends. I looked after her in worry. What could have happened? Maybe someone had upset her! I grabbed my bag and headed out the classroom to find her. I looked all over school but I couldn't find her anywhere. There was only one more place she could possibly be... The roof. I clambered up the stairs two by two trying to forget how hard my heart was beating. The roof was a date spot at our school. Rachel never went there without me. I finally reached the rood and stared out the door... To see her laughing with Mickey Night. The most flirtatious creep in the school. My stomach did a belly flop as I saw Rachel reach up and put her arms round Mickeys neck. I couldn't watch anymore, I had to be dreaming. Yet I continued to look and saw exactly what I hoped I wouldn't. The kiss was like a slap in the face. I sat on the stairs rocking myself, wondering what to do. Should I confront her? Forgive her? Ignore her? I didn't know. My world had shattered into a million pieces. And this is where my story starts. A heartbreak and a broken boy.
