William strode down the hallway towards the healer’s wing, his guards following close on his heels, another up front showing him the way. These were not corridors of the palace he normally walked. His mind noted absently that they were far more utilitarian than the hallways he used. The stone walls were bare with no artwork adorning them. The windows were smaller, allowing for light to filter in but instead of looking out onto the grounds they tended to have a view of plain courtyards and featureless walls.
