Cinderella and Her Mate

Chapter Five:

(Aspen’s P.O.V.)

I was laying the food out for the dinner, when I heard Chris throwing a tantrum. I rolled my eyes and went back to work, but that did not last very long. Chris came walking up to me and got into my face. I started to get uncomfortable with how close he was to me.

“You are not allowed to leave this pack. You will be mine!” He screamed in my face.

“You are not my Alpha, and you will never be my Alpha. As for being yours, I am no ones. I do not belong to you or to Alpha Jay. I am my own person and do what the f**k I want to do. Get out of my face.” I said to him. Just as I finished saying that there was a loud smacking sound and my cheek started to sting bad. I looked at him. “You are going to regret that.” I said and walked away. I did not finish anything that I was doing. I walked up the stairs and knocked on Alpha Jay’s office door. I could still feel the stinging, as well as feel a bruise on my cheek starting to form.

“Come in.” I heard him say. I walked in and I heard a growl come from Jack.

“Who in the hell put hands on you!?” he yelled at me. I know that he didn’t mean to, but I looked down and let my hair fell in front of my face. I could feel the tears start to form, but I did not want Jack to see me.

“Jack calm down. I will get down to the bottom of this. Everyone in this pack knows you do not put hands on someone’s mate, weather they are part of the pack or not.” Jay said trying to calm Jack down, but deep down I could feel that it was not working. “Aspen, please tell me what happened. I need to know so I can punish the person.”

I walked up to Jack and wrapped my arms around him, and he instantly calmed down. “It was Chris, Alpha Jay. He basically yelled at me that I was his and that I was not aloud to leave. I told him that I did not belong to anyone, and he was not my Alpha. He must have gotten mad cause the next thing I knew my cheek felt like it was on fire. I can feel a bruise starting to form.”

“I do not want to hear that you are going to talk to him. I want him punished.” Jack said to Jay. Jay nodded his head in understanding and put his head in his hands.

“Megan!” I heard Jay yell, which made me jump since I never been in the room when he has yelled for an omega.

“Yes Sir!” she said.

“Grab Chris and bring him here.” Jay said. Megan bowed her head and walked out of the room. Jack grabbed my chin lightly and moved my face to get a better view of the damage. He lightly touched my cheek and I winced from the pain. I felt a tear slowly start to roll down my cheek. I knew that there wasn’t really anything that Jack could do, but I just want to pain to go away. I look Jack in his eyes, and I could see that he was trying to control his anger.

“Please stay calm.” I told him. Jack nodded his head and placed his one hand on my waist and kissed the top of my head. The door opened again, and Megan and Chris walked through.

“You told my dad, you are f*****g pathetic. Why anyone would make you a f*****g Luna, I will never know.” Chris said with disgust.

“That is not up to you.” Jay said. “As a matter of fact, we are here to talk about your punishment for what you did to Aspen. Chris, you know the rules of this pack. You do not put hands on them no matter what it is for.”

I could see that Chris was rolling his eyes. “What are you going to do, wait for me to become Alpha for another five years?”

“As a matter of fact, you are not to become Alpha of this pack for another ten years. In those ten years you will learn how to do everything that an Omega does. You are going to grow up and learn what hard work looks like. When the ten years are up, only if you have matured into an actual adult, with no parties at all, then we will see about an Alpha ceremony for you.” Jay said. I could feel Jack being happy with this decision and punishment for Chris. “Jack and Aspen, I am sorry that this is happening. Aspen I had your things packed and moved up to Jack’s room that he is staying in. Since I have to cancel the ceremony for Chris behavior, you guys are more than welcome to leave at anytime today. Aspen, I just want to say thank you for everything that you have done for this pack while you were here. I know that you never wanted to be apart of this pack, but if you ever need anything, just know that we are here.” Jay said to me.

“You are welcome Alpha Jay. Thank you for letting me go and for taking me in when I needed a place to stay.” I said to Jay.

“Please just Jay, I was never your Alpha. Now that you will be a Luna, you do not have to be formal with me.” Jay said to me. I smiled at him and gave him a hug. Jay tensed up, but then relaxed and hugged me back.

“I think we will take our leave after dinner. That way Aspen can eat before we take the long journey back home.” Jack said. Jay nodded his head.

“Dinner will be ready in about three hours. Aspen you can do what you will now.” Jay said. I nodded my head. Jack and I walked out, we both decided that we would go back to his room to talk. We walked into his room, and I sat down on the chair that was in the corner of room. He closed the door and sat on the bed. It was quite for a few minutes between the both of us until I spoke up.

“So I have to be a Luna?” I asked Jack out of the blue. Jack looked at me, “If you accept being mates, then yes, you will be expected to become Luna of my pack.”

“What does a Luna do?” I asked him. I am curious about everything that is to become of me if and when I decided to become his mate.

“You would be able to do everything that I do. Be able to command the pack, make decisions that are needed if I am not around for them, like if I am on a business trip. You can wonder around town freely, of course with the help with one of my Beta’s and Gemas until you get used to being around town enough.” Jack said to me. “I want you to get to know the people I have in rank as well. They mean a great deal to me, and I basically would not have my pack if it was not for them being behind me in every step along the way.” Jack said. I nodded my head and looked out the window that was beside me.

“Is there something that is bothering you Aspen?” Jack asked me.

“It is a lot for me to take in honestly. With all of this, it is new to me. With just having my wolf, finding my mate right away, and being told that I would basically be made into a Luna right off the bat because my mate is an Alpha.” I said to him. I was not lying; it is a lot for me to take in.

We are making the right choice by choosing to be with him. You are an alpha yourself, so you would have just as much if not more alpha authority, then he has.

Can that happen? I know my decision, but I must get use to everything.

It can happen. With both of you being Alpha’s there usually be a power for dominance, but since you both are made to be with each other, you will be able to have the same control just like him.

Ruby disappeared. She is right, this is the best for me.

(Jack’s P.O.V.)

I was watching very closely to see what Aspen was going to do next. I was waiting for the next question, but it has seemed that she went into deep thought. I wanted to know what she was thinking, but I know that she will open up to me in due time.

“Ruby must know what is best for me. I will come. I will be your mate and Luna to your pack, but I want to ask a favor of you.” Aspen said randomly out of the blue. I was happy as hell to know that she is accepting to be my mate and Luna of the pack.

“What is the favor that you need my love?” I asked her.

“I need to get use to everything, including my new role.” Aspen said to me, “Just promise me that I will be able to get use to everything.”

“You have my word. Take as long as you need to get use to everything. But I do have to tell you something.” I said to her. She nodded her head to let me know that I can continue. “Once we have mated, and we are wearing each other’s mark, my mark on you and your mark on me, there is going to be a Luna Ceremony. After the Luna Ceremony, you will be free to get use to everything. If you need time before we do anything I also understand and will let you go with your own pace.” I told her.

Give her the kiss that you owe her. You said that you would give it to her later, and it has been two hours since then.

I could hear my wolf, Chase talking to me. I let out a sigh and got up from my position on the bed. I grabbed Aspen’s hand and pulled her up out of the chair that she was sitting in.
