(Aspen’s P.O.V.)
I was watching Jack as he was walking over to me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the chair that I was currently sitting in. I felt his other hand wrap around my waist pulling me closer to him. He let go of my hand and lightly grabbed my chin. He pulled my face closer to him and I could feel his breath on my lips. I wanted to kiss him so badly and it seemed that he had the same thought. He closed the gap that was between us, and our lips met. It felt like the fourth of July going off. I felt fireworks as our lips moved in sync with each other. We pulled away from each other and looked into each other’s eyes. I saw love within his eye’s, and I knew that I would never find someone like him again. I could see myself growing old and forever being with him. There was a knock at the door which made both of our eyes go to the door.
“Who is it?” I could hear a growl in Jack’s voice as he spoke.
“It’s Megan Alpha Jack. I was just letting you guys know that dinner is ready and Alpha Jay wants you guys to sit with him and the Luna.” Megan told us through the closed door.
“We will be right there.” Jack said as he seemed to calm down. Just as he said that there was a huge growl that came from my stomach. I blushed in embarrassment and Jack just cracked a smile and chuckled. “Let’s get some food into the tinny stomach of yours.” Jack said to me.
I smiled but could still feel my face blushing from the embarrassment of the growl that my stomach let out just a few minutes ago. We walked over to the door and started to walk down to the dinning room, where the Alpha and the Luna dine. Once we entered the dinning room, Alpha Jay stood up and held his hands out.
“Please sit. We hope that dinner will be delighted for you guys. I hope nothing else has been a bother to you guys.” Jay said.
I smiled, “Other than the sudden interruption from Megan, we have been fine.”
“Then there was that growl that came from Aspen, that made both of us shock. Seems like to me that she has not eaten since last night, which will change when we get back to my pack.” Jack said.
“That does not surprise me much. Aspen does seem to forget to eat every time after she make the food for everyone else.” Jay said. I blushed with embarrassment.
“I didn’t forget to eat; I was told that I was not aloud to eat unless it was dinner, and it was after everyone in the pack has eaten.”
Everyone looked at me shocked, well everyone except for Chris. Chris was looking everywhere, but at his father.
“I wonder who the hell barked that order, even though he is not an alpha.” Jay stated. Chris was not looking at his dad or his mother.
Everything got extremely quiet and awkward. While we sat there in silence, food was starting to arrive, and plates were placed in front of us. We started to eat after everyone had gotten a plate. It was still quite between all of us, but it was a good kind of quiet. I ate about half of my dinner and could not eat anymore.
“Who did you guys get to cook? This food was really good.” I said to Jay. He looked at me and smiled.
“Actually, Wendy can take that compliment. She cooked the dinner for us tonight. It was really good, but I am sure that we will surely miss your cooking Aspen.” Jay said to me.
I blushed and smiled, “Thank you Jay, I will miss cooking for you guys.”
“You can always cook when you want to at your new home.” Jack said with a smile. My smile got bigger now that I knew that I could cook and bake when ever I wanted to and no one could stop me now.
Coffee was handed around, but I didn’t take any. I knew that I was going to be up all night if I dink any coffee. I normally don’t drink coffee, unless I had a rough night or did not sleep at all that night. After everyone had their desserts and coffee, Jack and I started to stand and head out. I said good-bye to Wendy and Jay.
“The car is already packed up; all we have to do is just leave. We can leave when you are ready to head out.” Jack said to me. I smiled at him. I liked that fact that he was letting me take my time saying good-bye to some of the people, that I was close to. Most of them are Omegas, like I was, but they were there for me when I was having a bad day or just when I wanted to talk. No one knew much about my past, and I pretty much wanted to keep that way. I wanted to protect myself from being hurt a lot more than I already was. I said good-bye to everyone that I would talk to and started to head towards the door that would lead out to my new life.
After walking out the doors, I noticed that Chris was standing by Jack’s car. I looked at Chris and I could hear Jack start to growl. It was a deep warning growl and it started to scare me since I never have heard a warning growl before.
“Relax, I just want to apologies.” I heard Chris say.
“I will never accept your apologies. Just because you are trying to apologies so you can get back on your dad’s good side so that you can become alpha, doesn’t mean that I will help you get there. How about this, instead of trying to apologies to me, why don’t you grow up? I think what your dad did to you, was the right move. You need to grow up, because one mistake and you will end up regretting everything and you will not be able to fix it.” I said to Chris.
I opened the door to Jack’s car and got in. Jack got in the driver side and started the car up. I looked out of the window of the car and smiled. I was leaving the only other home that I knew, and I was nervous. Jack got on the highway and was driving. I was looking out the window, just looking at the view of everything that I had missed out in life. I felt a hand on my thigh, and I looked down. I saw that Jack had put his hand on my thigh and I smiled. I grabbed his hand, and we laced our fingers together.
~skipping drive~
I must have fallen asleep because the next thing that I knew Jack was waking me up.
“Welcome to your new home Aspen.” Jack said to me. I looked out the front window and saw that we were at a gate. Jack drove up to the gate and the gate started to slowly open up. I could see a river and a bridge. We drove over the bridge and saw mostly woods. I never really been near the woods. After getting past all the tress and heading towards the lake, I saw a beautiful castle that was before the sand that led to the lake. I stared at the place with shock. I looked at Jack and saw that he was smiling. Jack put the car in park and got out. I saw a guard walk up to the car and opened the door for me. I smiled at him and thanked him. Jack walked over to me and held his hand out. I grabbed his hand and let him lead me the way inside the castle.
“We are back!” Jack yelled to no one because I did not see anyone around us.
“Us?!” I heard people yell.
Next thing I knew, there were thumping and saw a group of people that started to run down the stairs. They rounded the corner and looked at Jack and then looked at me. There were an older couple that looked like Jack, that walked up to me and ingulf me in a hug.
“Aspen! Where did you find her Jack?” the older woman asked Jack.
“Surprise I found her at Jay’s pack. She was working as an Omega for his pack.” Jack said.
“Oh my. Aspen, it is good to see you again. I remember the last time I saw you; you were still little.” The older woman said to me.
I looked at Jack and he knew that I still didn’t remember much about anything. “Mom, she still trying to find her memories from before being at Jay’s pack.” Jack told her. I could see the hurt in her eyes, and I saw anger in the older gentleman.
“I’m so sorry. I wish I could remember anything that happened to me before everything, but it is so slowly coming back to me. I only started to remember Jack yesterday. It is slowly starting to come back to me, but it is still going to take some time to remember a lot of the things from my past life.” I told them.
“Well Aspen, I am Jill, and this is my husband, Richard. We were really good friends with your mother and father.” Jill told me. I looked at her and I started to slowly remember. There was one time, that I was running around here with both my mom and Jill chasing me. I smiled at her and grabbed her in a hug. I could feel that she was in shock that I was hugging her.
“You and mom use to chase me around here when we came to visit all the time. I used to always hide behind Jack, and he would play with me while we were hiding for you guys.” I said with a smile. I saw Jack smiled and there was a light pink that was starting to appear on his cheeks. Jill smiled at me and so did Richard.
