In the underworld, there is an unwritten rule: Loyalty is everything, and betrayal is only repaid with death. Leo Vorn, the trusted Underboss of the most powerful mafia family, The Black Vipers, was suddenly betrayed. He was framed as a traitor, left for dead, and the woman he loved was torn away from him. But Leo did not die. He has returned—not as a soldier, but as a demon ready to burn their entire empire to the ground.

The roar of the pitch-black sports car engine cut through the silence of the night. Inside the cold cabin, with the air conditioner blasting at full power, Leo Vorn sat calmly. His strong hands gripped the steering wheel, while his sharp eyes kept watch over the deserted road. Today was an important day. The largest weapons deal in the history of their family, The Black Vipers, was about to begin. Its value reached hundreds of billions of rupiah. Leo glanced at the rearview mirror, seeing the escort cars following behind. Everything seemed safe. "Is everything going smoothly, Boss?" Marco’s voice, his best friend and Consigliere, sounded clear through the earpiece. Leo smiled slightly. "Like clockwork, Marco. Not a single obstacle." "Good. The Godfather is waiting at the main warehouse. He wants to see the results of our hard work." Leo nodded. His relationship with Marco was more than just colleagues. They grew up together, fought together, and had even saved each other's lives countless times. To Leo, Marco was his own blood brother. And out there, there was Sarah, the woman waiting for Leo to come home. The woman he planned to marry once this business was settled. The world seemed to be smiling upon him. However, the instincts of an elite soldier never lie. Something felt wrong. The night air felt too heavy, too quiet. Like the calm before a massive storm hit. The old warehouse in the port area looked gloomy, illuminated only by a few flickering floodlights. Leo parked his car and stepped out. Dressed in a sharp black suit, his cold eyes scanned every corner. Waiting there were about twenty heavily armed men. And in the center stood Don Vito, the leader of the Black Vipers family, and Leo’s adoptive father. "Leo! My son!" Don Vito exclaimed with his raspy voice, opening his arms wide. Leo smiled and walked forward to embrace the old man. "Good evening, Don. Everything is ready." "Good, good. Today we make history," Don Vito said, then patted Leo’s back firmly. "You are truly the perfect successor. Better than anyone else." Leo felt proud. For years he had fought, shedding blood and sweat, and today all his sacrifices were rewarded with this honor. "Marco, bring the case!" Don Vito ordered. From the side, Marco appeared carrying a thick leather briefcase. He placed it on the large wooden table in the middle of the room and opened it. Inside was not money, but important documents and data chips. "Sign here, Leo," Don Vito said, handing over a pen and the documents. "This is the symbol of the full transfer of authority to you." Without hesitation, Leo took the pen. He trusted the people in front of him completely. But the moment the tip of the pen touched the paper... BANG! BANG! BANG! Gunshots roared loudly, shattering the silence! No one knew where the bullets came from, but in an instant, two guards beside Leo fell, blood gushing from their chests. Chaos erupted! "Attack! Take cover!" Leo shouted instinctively. He immediately pulled Don Vito behind the table for protection. "Don, protect yourself!" However, when Leo turned back, looking for cover or searching for Marco, what he saw made his blood run cold instantly. Don Vito didn't look scared. Instead, the old man stood tall with a blank expression. And in front of him... Marco stood calmly, pointing a silenced pistol directly at Leo’s head. The look in his best friend’s eyes... was ice cold. Without a single trace of guilt. "Forgive me, Leo..." Marco whispered, but his voice rang clearly in Leo's ears. "Business is business." Leo froze, his mind struggling to process what was happening. "Marco? What are you doing? That was an enemy attack!" "Enemy?" Marco chuckled softly, a laugh that sounded terrifying and cynical. "There are no enemies here, Leo. There is only you... and us." Suddenly, everyone he thought were loyal guards turned their weapons toward Leo. Every barrel was aimed at him. Only at him. Leo’s heart felt as if it was being crushed tightly. "So... this is a trap?" Leo’s voice was hoarse, trembling not out of fear, but from the excruciating pain. Don Vito stepped forward, kicking the table until the documents scattered across the floor. "You are too ambitious, Leo. You are too popular. The family members are starting to fear... afraid that you will take over everything and erase us all," Don Vito said with a cruel tone. "Did you really think I would actually hand over power to you? You are just an orphan I adopted! You don't have noble blood!" "And you are too kind, too trusting," Marco cut in, walking closer, stepping on the back of Leo’s hand which lay helpless on the floor. "This world needs a cruel leader, not a good man like you." "Why?" Leo stared sharply into Marco's eyes, the eyes of the friend who had shared everything with him. "I treated you like a brother, Marco! I saved your life!" "That is exactly why I hate you!" Marco kicked Leo’s face hard, splitting Leo's lip and drawing blood. "All this time I’ve been living in your shadow! Everyone praises Leo, Leo, and Leo! When will it be my turn?!" Marco bent down, bringing his face close to Leo’s ear. "And you should know? Sarah... the woman you love... she is in my bed. She knew you were going to die tonight. And she agreed." It felt as if a sledgehammer had smashed into Leo’s head. His world collapsed instantly. Betrayed by his Boss, his brother, and his girlfriend. "You... are all bastards..." Leo clenched his fists tightly as blood continued to drip from the corner of his mouth. "I will kill you all!" "It's too late, Leo," Don Vito said coldly. "The punishment for a traitor is death." "Shoot him!" Marco ordered. BANG! BANG! BANG! Bullets flew, but in the last second, with his remaining strength and killer instinct, Leo threw an iron crate toward the main light. CRASH! The light shattered! The warehouse was plunged into total darkness. "Catch him! Don't let him escape!" Marco shouted frantically. In the darkness, Leo rolled quickly, dodging the hail of bullets that rained down on where he lay moments ago. He was injured, his shoulder burning hot from a bullet graze, but the physical pain was nothing compared to the wound in his heart. He ran toward the emergency exit of the warehouse. Behind him, shouts and gunfire continued to chase. "Leo! No matter how far you run, you will still die!" Marco’s voice echoed triumphantly. Leo stumbled out of the building, falling face down into a puddle of rainwater that had just begun to fall. The water soaked his body, mixing with the blood flowing profusely from his wounds. He looked back, seeing the building he had served for decades now turned into a hell that wanted to destroy him. Slowly, he crawled away. His legs felt heavy, his vision began to blur. "Marco... Don Vito..." he whispered weakly, every word felt like poison. "If I am given a chance to live... I swear... I will return." The rain poured harder, as if the sky was weeping for the man who had just lost everything. Leo felt his body growing weaker, his vision turning black. However, just before his eyes finally closed, he saw an old van stop in front of him. The door opened, and faintly, someone pulled his body inside. "Get him in! Hurry!" Who were they? Leo didn't know. He no longer had the energy to ask or fight. Then, darkness took over. Meanwhile, back inside the warehouse. Marco stood in front of Don Vito, wiping the sweat from his forehead. "He escaped, Boss. But he is badly wounded. It's pouring rain and freezing cold out there. He won't last long." Don Vito stared darkly toward the exit. "Find his body! I need his head to display! Don't let him live, or we will be the ones facing hell later." "But Boss..." one of the men approached with a pale face. "We just checked the weapons and money that were in the car... they are all gone. The car is empty." Marco froze, then laughed loudly. "Let it be. That is a cheap price to pay for Leo Vorn's life. Let him die hungry and in pain." Marco then took out his phone, dialing a number. "Hello, Sweetheart..." his voice changed into a soft and affectionate tone. "Leo is dead. Tomorrow I will be the new Boss. And you... you will be my Queen."
