She surprises me by walking forward and embracing me in that warm hug.
Her eyes light up with genuine kindness and I feel so safe that my shoulders visibly relax in her arms. She pats my back telling me how wonderful it is to see me again.
The scent of powder and fresh lemons hit my nostrils, I take a deep calming breath and enjoy being held by this elderly woman.
