“Tia, can you excuse us? I need to speak with Xan privately." I tell her without glancing in her direction.
She stands stealthy and leaves the hall. Now it is just us two alone.
"I think we should go with Tia idea. We cannot underestimate what a bruised ego will do to them. From the crowd I saw outside they seem pretty agitated to me." Xan continues.
They are both right. I never planned on taking my eyes off that pack tonight till they up and leave tomorrow morning but now harsh words have been spoken and there is bad blood between us.
Hopefully we are able to smooth things over without spilling any blood.
