Chapter 4: The Next 3 Years

Sky felt like she had her own dirty little secret, just for her. So, naturally, she told her best friend Kyra about it. Kyra was shy and didn't talk to other people very much. When Sky told Kyra, she didn't say anything about it being weird or gross, which made Sky very happy. She needed someone to talk to about this.

Throughout the next three years, Sky and Gabriel drifted apart. They had gone from messaging as much as possible, to once a week, to once a month, and then barely any conversation at all. They had such intense feelings for each other, but there was nothing they could really do about it. They were cousins after all and they lived so far apart. Their parents almost never talked and so it would be weird to ask them to visit each other. Even if they did hang out, they would be around family, so things would be awkward for them.

Sky was now 16 years old and finishing her year of high school. She had gone through most of puberty and it was showing. When he graduated high school, he and his girlfriend officially broke up.

Since then, he had wanted to reach out to Sky, but wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not. Just the thought of her turned him on. When she got a text message from Gabriel, she was surprised. They had exchanged cell numbers about a year ago when she got her first cell phone, but he hadn't used it. She was excited to talk to him again, but also nervous. They had barely spoken in the past year. She decided she would message him back and see how it went.

"Hey, it's Gabriel. I hope this is still your number. I don't think I have actually used it yet haha."

"Oh hi!" Sky typed back, "Ya it's still my number."

"Oh good," Gabriel replied.

She didn't know what to say to that, but before she could respond, he sent her another message.

"So how is my little cousin doing? How was school this year?" he asked.

Oh, so that is how this is going to go. We are going to be family this time, she thought.

"I'm awesome. I am almost finished the school year. I am super excited for summer! I am going camping a bunch with my family. I LOVE roasting marshmallows, so it'll be fun! How about you?" she asked.

They continued their conversation and kept it friendly. Sky mentioned the guys she had dated this past year. She had never mentioned them before, but since they were being friends, she felt fine mentioning it. When Gabriel mentioned he had broken up with his girlfriend, Sky felt a flutter in her chest. She didn't want to be excited for that, but honestly she was. She tried to seem sympathetic, but honestly it was hard to contain her feelings.

What the hell, she thought to herself, I am going for it.

"I have missed talking to you," she said, thinking about all their chats about cuddling and holding hands. That seemed like child's play to her now. She was ready for more.

"I have missed talking to you too," Gabriel responded quickly.

"I haven't seen what you look like in a while. How about we get on call?" Sky suggested.

"Ya that would be cool," Gabriel answered immediately.

Within a few minutes, Sky had changed into some sexier clothing for her older cousin. She was wearing a low cut red tank top with a black push-up bra. She wore jean short shorts and was thankful she had decided to look nice that day so she already had makeup on.
