I was waiting for Jayson, my husband to come back from the store.           I knew he wouldn’t be ringing the doorbell, so I went to answer, as I opened the door my heart fell, as I saw two officers standing there. He has been taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. We are here to offer you a ride to the hospital.” Officer Shell said.           My heart sunk in my chest as tears began following down my cheeks. My knees buckled and I began to slide down the door, but the blonde headed officer caught me and helped me into a chair near the door.           “Mrs. O’Connell are you okay?” he asked. I replied, “No, my grandchildren are here, I can’t leave them alone.” “I’m officer White, I can call someone for you.” He asked. . . . . . .to be continued . . . . .
