14_What If I'm Not A Virgin?

1647 Words
Cole POV I run home as fast as I can. My nerves are shot. Ariella … she is an angel, there is no more doubt about that. She is fast and strong, and heavens know what else she can do. And then there is her blood – angel’s blood, golden blood - which makes vampires go crazy. Do the vampires know she is here? Is that why this one came here? How do I keep her safe when they can walk in daylight? “Ariella?” I shout as I run up the stairs to her room, but she is not there. “Kyle, where’s Ariella?” I mind-link angrily. If he slipped up and lost her, I would kill him. “She’s with Jack,” he replies. Jack! That is brilliant, I realise as I dash down the stairs. If there is anyone with answers, it will be Gramps. “Sit down, son,” Grandpa says when he sees me. “We should talk.” “Are you okay?” I sit next to Ariella and take her hands. “Why wouldn’t I be?” She frowns. “I’m not the one who had a one-on-one with a vampire in a dark cell.” “It’s healed,” I look at her hand in awe. “Where you cut yourself, it’s gone.” “Angel,” she shrugs nonchalantly. “We should go to my study,” Jack announces and stands up. “I need to make notes.” “Gramps, now is not the time,” I say patiently. “Now is the time,” he snorts. “Something Ariella said is ringing a bell. I need to find it.” “What is it?” I ask curiously as we follow Gramps to his study. “Golden blood,” he mumbles, pulling a thick, worn-out book from the shell and opening it. “I’ve read that before.” “What’s that?” Ariella points to the book. “This dear, is a journal which has been carried over from generation to generation,” he explains. “Three hundred years of information.” “And you remember everything?” Ariella gapes at him. “Mostly,” he grins. “It’s an interesting read. Ah … here it is. June 1813. There were two neighbouring farmers. One came to us, complaining that his neighbour was using vampires to steal his cattle. Ridiculous, right? But he was persistent, and our pack investigated. Lo and behold, they caught a vampire. The vamp was malnourished and agitated. Our pack kept him alive and fed him regularly until he was stable enough to provide answers. Turns out, the neighbour had a vile of blood. He gave the vampire a few drops for every livestock he brought to him. He called it golden blood. It’s like a drug for them. The farmer disappeared before they could interrogate him about the blood.” “Fascinating,” I lean my arms on the desk. “I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes. That vamp went berserk for droplets of Ariella’s blood.” “And now I can add what golden blood is,” Grandpa smirks as he reaches for a pen and starts writing. “An angel’s blood.” “But how did the farmer get hold of it?” Ariella frowns. “Beats me,” Grandpa shrugs. “Maybe we’ll find out in another three hundred years.” “Anything about vampires walking in daylight?” Ariella asks. “Nope,” Grandpa continues writing. “That’s a first. But you said something about the nights getting longer.” He stops writing, opens a drawer, and pulls out a journal. “I keep tabs on sunrise and sunset,” he explains. “The tides, phases of the moon and such. For my fishing, you know? Anyway, yes, the nights are longer than it’s supposed to be for this time of year.” “When the nights become longer, the end is near,” Ariella whispers and looks at us with big eyes. “That’s what the angel told me.” “None of this predicts anything good,” I exhale deeply. “We need to prepare ourselves for worse to come.” Ariella POV Cole’s words fill the room with a heavy silence. I am not going to say it out loud, but I do not need to. We all know it – I am the answer to all the questions. At least, my blood is. “We must find and kill Victor,” I shatter the silence. “The angel was very clear on that. We need to do it if we all of this to stop.” “And we will,” Cole reaches over and takes my hand. “We’ll start with today’s prisoner.” “Then we should go now,” I jump up. “The sooner, the better.” “Not yet,” he stops me. “He licked your blood off the floor. I want that to pass through his system and starve him before we start the interrogation. In the meantime, I’ll increase security and inaugurate you as my Luna.” “Brilliant idea,” Jack grins from ear to ear. “And get Ruth to participate in the arrangements. It will keep her occupied while she’s held hostage in her room.” “She’s not a hostage,” Cole argues. “At least allow her to leave the room,” Jack reasons. “She’s a wolf, for goddess’ sake, her nose is healed by now.” “Fine,” Cole huffs, takes my hand and drags me out of the office. “Cole,” I say softly as we walk up the stairs. “There’s something else we should talk about.” “You can talk to me about anything,” he smiles lovingly as he opens the door to my room. I take a deep breath and try to formulate my words. This is nerve-wracking. “So … uhm, I heard you’re still … you know, a virgin,” I stutter, intertwining my fingers. “Yeah, so?” He crosses his arms in front of his chest. “I’m not ashamed about it. I told you before. I take the mate-bond seriously which is why I waited for you.” “This is harder than I thought,” I admit sheepishly. “Cole,” I stand in front of him and rest my hands on his arms. “What if I’m not a virgin?” “Then you’re not,” he smiles, uncrossing his arms and pulling me into his embrace. “It’s not the end of the world.” “Are you sure?” I ask and relax a little. But it does not make me feel better. I want to be everything for him, and now I cannot be. “Ariella,” he leans over and tenderly kisses me. “You can’t change your past, but you can build on your future. And your future is with me. Besides, you lost your memory. This will be your first time even if it’s not.” “You should’ve been the angel,” I snake my arms around his neck, and all my insecurities evaporate when I look into his eyes. “That would’ve been nice,” he grins. “Because it’s a little humiliating that you’re faster than me.” “I will happily slow down,” I murmur and kiss him on his neck. “I don’t want to humiliate you in front of your pack.” “Don’t you dare,” he groans when I glide my hands underneath his shirt and caress his chest. “They must respect you like they would me.” “I can’t wait to be your Luna,” I pull his shirt over his head and feast my eyes on his chest. “Goddess, you’re magnificent.” His lips are on mine hungrily, eagerly as he picks me up and carries me to bed. He pushes me onto my back and leans over, kissing my neck, jaw, and lips while he pushes up my shirt. “Let me help,” I take off my shirt and pull him closer. The skin-to-skin contact sends delightful shivers through me, and I push closer to him. I want him … all of him. I curl my fingers through his hair as his lips leave warm kisses down my chest. Anticipation builds within me when he reaches my breasts. “I love it when you do that,” I moan when he takes a n!pple into his mouth. I close my eyes and enjoy his touch when his hands glide to my jeans. I vividly recall what he did to my body in the shower, and I cannot wait to experience it again. I lift my hips and he pulls my jeans off in one swift movement. “What are you … oh, sweet goddess,” I exclaim when his tongue glides over my c**t*ris. My fingers cramp into the linen when he puts my legs over his shoulders and buries his face between my legs. My breathing becomes heavier and faster as his tongue licks, swirls and teases. “Cole,” I pant his name as my feet tingle. The tingling builds and builds and spreads. I am going to scream, I realise. And this house is filled with people. So, I grab a pillow and press it to my face just in time when my orgasm explodes, and my body starts trembling. He ends his onslaught and kisses my stomach, chest, and neck before ending his journey on my lips. I reach for his jeans, but he stops me. “Tomorrow, I will inaugurate you as my Luna,” he kisses me tenderly. “And then I’ll claim you completely.”
