FIRST MARRIAGE THEN LOVE

The sun shines brightly and the birds chirped beautifully. There's a hustle and bustle in the mansion. Iris gets out of her large bedroom and walks down the stairs .She finds new faces smiling at her, greeting her and congratulating her. She spots her parents busy laughing with Mr. Smith and Kyle. She stands in front of a large mirror and finds herself prepared for the white veil occasion. Dylan walks up to her and holds her hand. He kisses her forehead and says, "Are you ready, Elizabeth ? ".They walk down the aisle happily. All the friends and family are cheering for the new bride and groom. The preacher asks them to exchange rings. "Not so easy", a voice draws everyone's attention and discovers Caleb standing with his pack. They charge and in the midst of chaos and bloodshed, Iris's parents, Mr. Smith and Kyle are killed.Iris runs to her parents and hugs their dying bodies. Suddenly, Evelyn stabs Iris with tears in her eyes. Iris falls on the ground. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I don't have any choice. You must die for us to live ", Evelyn kneels down and cries. Iris smiles looking at her . Dylan shouts 'Elizabeth ' and runs towards Iris. He hugs her. "Why do you keep calling me Elizabeth ? My name is Iris ", she speaks as she cries in pain. Dylan sobs. "It's the end. Now everything will be fine. There won't be any bloodshed for 100 years. But promise me, you won't hurt your sister", She forces him to promise not to hurt her murderer and then slowly shuts her eyes. Her body turns cold and lifeless. The werewolves howl in grief. The fight is over as Iris is no more. The wolves flee. Iris hears Dylan's voice and slowly opens her eyes and realizes it was all a dream. She finds Dylan, Mr. Smith and Kyle staring at her. Dylan hugs her. She was finally awake after being unconscious for a week. She looks at Dylan who looks much relieved to see her wake up. Mr. Smith and Kyle are ordered to leave the couple alone. They share a moment together hugging and smiling. "Grrrr! ", Iris's stomach growls indicating that she was hungry. She hides her face in Dylan's chest in embarrassment. They both laugh. They walk downstairs and to the grand dining table. Mr. Smith serves the food. Iris happily digs in. Everyone is so delighted to watch her eat. After the meal she calls her parents and tells them not to worry. She then texts Zoey assuring her that she is alright. She demands to go to school but Dylan requests her to take a rest. She agrees to him without any bickering. She goes to her room and takes out the diary she found in the library which belonged to a person called "Beth". It's a 100 year old diary. After some time she walks to the balcony and looks at the mourning garden.She gets immersed in thoughts. Dylan walks up to her and holds her hand. She turns towards him and smiles. She tells him about her dream and he asks her to not think about it much. He reassures her that everything will be fine. A doctor is brought to check on her. He is a vampire too. He examines her and concludes saying that she is safe and healthy but the signs may occur again. Curious to know what was happening to her, she confronted Dylan "Exactly what's going on with me? Why was I unconscious?Why has my appetite grown all of a sudden? ",she questioned. Dylan decided to be honest with her so he told her what was happening. " I am the leader of the vampires and whatever is happening to you is because I marked you with my powers. It's all the side effects", He calmly explained to her. " Marked? So it means now I belong to you? But it's for the werewolves, right? Do vampires also have such a thing? ", She was disappointed as she could see her dreams shattering. "It's not permanent . Once I find a cure for you, I will unmark you. But till then you have to bear all the consequences and stay legally married to me. The werewolves are after you. I just want you to have a normal life", Dylan sighed as he looked up at the sky. "What happens to me if I keep on becoming a spirit or whatever it is? ", She looked at Dylan hoping to receive answers in a positive way. " Umm.. You have to give me an heir, the Vampires a new leader", he teased her now wanting to let her know that she could die as spirits don't live more than 25 years in a lifetime. She blushed and ran inside her room screaming, I'm still a high school student ". ************************************************
