♨♨ Alpha Rajesh Devgan's POV: ♨♨ I didn't understand why I was so upset when Juhi chose Akoni to show her around the house. It is not like she owed me anything. But I didn't understand what she had seen in him that she couldn't find in me, but it was annoying. Nobody back in our world ever chose anyone else when I was around. That's just how things were. Not wanting to make another scene in front of her, I marched out. My wolf needed release. I ran up the hill. My mind ran just as fast as my giant white beast's paws. So many memories flashed through my mind. Visions of the past that have never left me alone and haunted me even through my nightmares emerged again. I could hear my blood pulsating through my ears, my breaths were haggard, and my usual way of clearing my head was not working. What had this doctor done to me? I could not allow myself any leniency. I would not allow myself any leniency. I stopped at the peak near the usual cave and howled. I needed release and sometimes howling helped. This time it did not. I went inside the cave and allowed myself to return to my human form and wore a random pair of sweatpants from the stash I had kept for this purpose. The moment I had found myself in this hell hole I knew a lot of times I would need to wolf out. These men had a habit of getting on my nerves. We had barely tolerated each other on our separate continents, it was going to be a challenge staying in the same house. I had spent most of my days since coming here up in this cave, but when the doctor had landed through the portal, I needed to stay close and decided to get back into my room in the mansion. Having calmed myself down enough to run back down the hill, I reached home to know by her and Akoni's scents head down to the basement. With the intention of intercepting them, because I'd rather she not stay long enough with any of them to choose to help them get out of here before me, I headed towards the gym. The thing about these basement halls was that no sound or scent came through. Like everything was specifically designed for werewolves. I decided to lift some weights before heading towards the pull-up bars. Her scent wafted in before she made her way towards my section. She was alone. That gave some relief to my recent anxiety and calmed some fears. Maybe she hadn't been able to hit it off with Earth Alpha. Of course not. Who would want to spend any time than absolutely necessary in the company of such a stuck-up? She stopped when she saw me. Even though my back was towards her, the wall-length mirror to my right was at the perfect angle to show her, and I saw the way she was looking at me. I smirked to myself. I knew I had this effect on women. Deciding to give her a show, I kept going for a few more minutes before speaking up. The moment she realized I had sensed her, she turned red with embarrassment and turned around. I wasn't done with her. Something inside me wanted to keep this tiny interaction going on for a little longer. What could go wrong with a little harmless flirt? She was the perfect-looking woman a werewolf could want to be with. Many she-wolves spent so long with fitness experts to have the perfect physique to bear pups, and this one was naturally gifted in that department. Though, she had not seemed very proud of it. Strange. I walked towards her, making her turn to face me. I deliberately stopped a couple of feet away from her. But instead of backing away so I wasn't intruding in her personal space, she stood her ground and looked up at me through her long lashes. I kept looking into her coffee-colored eyes, searching for something I knew I shouldn't. On one hand, I was daring her to say something but on the other hand, I was testing how long she could last. All while looking for the reason she was here with us and if she really was the key to get out or we just wanted her to be. And if she was, how so? "Arin was, showing me around." She finally spoke, a bit awkwardly. It was clear how my presence affected her. Good. I thought. Back in our world she would have a similar effect on many wolves and make many females jealous. "I was looking for yoga mats." She turned around to look at anything but me. I stepped closer and placed my finger under her chin, slightly nudged her face to look at me as I bent my neck a little, being a foot taller than her. Her gorgeous eyes zeroed in on me and widened. She hadn't expected things to turn out this way. Good. It will teach her to take care while checking me out in the future. Not that I minded. "They were right by the entrance," I spoke in a deeper voice than I normally use and heard as her heart rate sped up, "You would've seen if you were actually looking for them." She swallowed but couldn't say anything. Finger still under her chin I brought my thumb to gently caress below her bottom lip as I placed my other hand on the machine behind her. When had she gotten trapped between the machine and me, she definitely didn't realize but the gasp that left her gave me goosebumps that brought back memories I had spent years burying. I tried to blink it all away as she looked up at me in confusion. The game was over. I had to pull back before I drowned in the game I was trying to give myself the freedom of playing. I stepped around her and headed straight for the showers, leaving her with her fast heart rate, shallow breathing, and the adorably confused look decorating her pretty features. Maybe one day I'll have a chance to explain myself. But it was very far from today. I was about to enter the shower when I heard the unmistakably annoying sound of Rex calling Juhi, adding to my agitation. What did that prick want from her now?
