❁❁ Dr. Juhi Mohan's POV: ❁❁ "So, what do you think?" Arin spoke from behind me, or more like above, because he was a head taller than I, and while I was about to become a ball of fat he was a wall of muscle. Or that's how it seemed from his toned arms and tight-fitting clothes. Wait, I shouldn't be checking him out when he wasn't even in my line of view. I cleared my throat, "You mean to tell me that your Moon lady made you a personalized gym?" I raised a brow, reading the sign on the first door to my left of the lobby where the stairs had brought us. "And a library, a cinema, and a bunch of sports courts." He walked me down the super long lobby and read the signs on the doors to our left and right. The rooms behind the doors seemed huge due to how far apart the doors were. "The sports courts are on the lower floor." He pointed at another set of stairs going further down. "There is another floor? How deep is this place? Who built all of this?" I was shocked beyond comprehension. "Just one floor under this one. And we have no idea who built it. But we believe it was under the Moon Goddess' orders." He was so content and calm. It was contagious. The way he spoke made me feel like I could trust this Moon Lady even though I was still skeptical of her existence. "How long have you been here?" I asked as he led me further down the lobby, showing the mansion. "I was the third one here, after Alpha Hīrō, who was the first and Alpha Devgan. Alpha Rex was the last of us. Or so we thought until you came." He told me with a smile directed at me. "That doesn't answer my question." I muttered to myself, but of course, he heard. "My bad." He spoke through his smile, "It's been a couple of months for me. Alpha Rex came a couple of weeks before you." "Do your, um, abilities give you super senses too?" I asked, embarrassed that he had heard me. "You could say that." He stepped around the answer and I didn't push. I was not his therapist, he didn't owe me any personal details. We were strangers who just met less than twenty-four hours ago. Though the connection I felt with each of these men since I got here was undeniable too. "And when did the rest of the guys come here?" I asked despite feeling the barely hidden animosity between them. "I, um, we don't, talk much. You know, we, uh-" He fumbled with words so I tried to ease the conversation, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked. You guys don't get along much, I saw that." He nodded silently as we got back up the stairs. Before I knew what was happening I tripped on the stairs and gasped closing my eyes ready to break a bone due to the fall that never came. I felt the same strong arms that had saved me earlier, enveloping me in a safe cocoon. "You're okay." A warm voice breathed in my ear sending shivers down my spine as I opened my eyes to his magnetic ones. I took a deep breath trying to avoid making a fool out of myself and a whiff of woody, earthy scent like that intoxicating soil after rain, overwhelmed my senses. I found myself subconsciously holding tight onto him and it wasn't just because of the awkward way we were stuck on the staircase, barely standing up straight. "Thank you, for saving me. Again." I said suddenly feeling shy at the proximity. Since I had found my boyfriend cheating on me with my best friend I hadn't been this close to a man, especially as hot as Arin. "No problem. I like it when you fall for me." He said as he let me go and I straightened up on the stairs ahead of him. Standing a bit higher I was able to look at him straight instead of up as I asked to confirm if I had heard it right, "What?" He didn't say what I thought he said, right? "I mean, I'm glad to be able to help." He shuffled around me, trying to step ahead but I could sense his embarrassment at what had clearly left his mouth accidentally. It was a weirdly nice feeling knowing I could have such an effect on such an attractive person as him. "Do you mind if I take some time in the gym? I'd like some yoga, you know, to meditate and stuff?" I asked. I couldn't possibly say that being surrounded by handsome men had made me more conscious about myself than I had been for a while. "Of course. Take your time. You know where your room is. And we can tour the upper floors later. Who knows how long we are stuck here?" He smiled as he reluctantly let go of my hand which he hadn't let go of since we started the tour. It had felt so natural I had forgotten he was holding my hand until he let go and I felt the emptiness that was left in its wake. Arin walked ahead and up the basement stairs as I pushed the door to the gym. It was huge, with every possible facility that one could think of. The hall was furnished with the most expensive equipment and was sectioned based on different exercise requirements. I was walking through the aisles of machinery, most of which I didn't even know what it did when I heard something. Like a metal clanking on another metal. I stopped in my tracks. I wasn't alone. But Arin had just left me alone. And wasn't Devgan out of the house? And weren't the other two upstairs? I hesitantly moved towards the sound but stopped in my tracks as the view entranced me. There was no mistaking the hunk in the corner doing pull-ups in a ladder-like thing hanging from the ceiling. I didn't know when Devgan had returned inside but there he was, with his muscular back at me, flexing with power, sweat rolling off of his massive naked shoulders, as he exercised shirtless. His legs were in a cross with a maroon pair of sweatpants hanging loosely around his hips. I swallowed as I forgot to breathe for a moment. His luscious hair was slick with sweat as he huffed now and then due to the strain he was putting on himself. I don't know how long I stood there unable to remove my eyes or turn away from the mouth-watering scene unfolding in front of me, but I nearly peed my pants when he suddenly spoke, still with his back towards me, "How much longer do you intend to stand there checking me out?" My heart hammered in my chest as my face burned with embarrassment at being caught. How did he know I was there and looking at him? I was sure I hadn't made any noise while coming or since I stood there enjoying the view. He suddenly jumped down clapping his hands to shake off the residue of whatever he had been using for friction on the bars, and went towards a nearby bench where there was a towel and a water bottle waiting for him. He took a chug of the water as I decided it was better to leave now than stay and answer him. I had just turned around when he called out, "The show isn't over. Where are you going?" I heard him coming closer as I reluctantly turned back around, my ears and face hot with embarrassment.
