"That's Alpha to you." Kata's voice was monotone. I couldn't see his face, but whatever it was, it had ignited a storm in Vagus because he took a step closer and stood at two feet, almost invading Kata's personal space, daring him silently. Kata's gorgeous locks swayed as if flowing in water, as he spoke in a language I couldn't understand, but sounded like the Japanese my patient used to speak sometimes. Vagus' eyes skipped to me for a millisecond as he responded in an entirely different language, kind of like the French, as I understood words like 'le Docteur', 'femme', and 'astuce', the last one I had picked from my neighbor who used to work as an entertainer for children events and performed tricks. It was clear that they were walking about me, and maybe I was being called a fraud, I wasn't sure. They understood the different languages, so it was clear they weren't using English because they thought I wouldn't understand. Vagus' words flared up Kata, who stilled. His voice, when he spoke this time, was like that super-calm ocean right before one sees a horrible storm brewing on the horizon. His answer made Vagus step closer and ask as if whispering, "Or what?" The window was closed, and there was no fan, but the curtains were beginning to move, making me nervous and scared. Before it could escalate further, I managed to drag myself, placing a hand at my pounding forehead where a thick bandage was wrapped, to step closer to them and say, "Hey, whatever it is. Take it outside, or I'll leave and you two can continue." That shut them both up. Their faces might not have expressed much, but I had spent ten years studying and practicing human psychology and body language. And those two had that look on their faces that said neither had been scolded in their lives and were too shocked to reply or react to it. I looked at them satisfied with the silence, then asked Kata, "Where are my clothes?" A smirk instantly appeared on Vagus' face as he blatantly checked me out. I didn't know if there was any checking out to be done for my thick body. My ex had always maintained that I was 'too fat' and needed to lose many pounds to look as pretty as my best friend whom I had caught him f*****g a week after my dad's funeral. As I asked that, the silent brooding one from earlier emerged in the doorway carrying a bunch of clothes in his hands. Without a word, he marched toward me like he owned everything, and everyone was beneath him. Without sparing a glance at the two men I had just scolded, he stopped about two feet from me and a strong sandalwood and burning incense aroma hit me. I wanted to lean in to get more of the magical scent and I allowed myself this little freedom, making him raise an eyebrow at me. My face suddenly felt too hot. Before either of the other two could comment, he turned to them with the same raised brow, but the expression went from taunting me to questioning them. It felt like a silent conversation occurred between them, and suddenly Vagus smirked at me like nothing from the last two minutes had transpired, "See you soon, Flower." And turned on his heels to walk right out of the room. Kata was next. He placed a hand on my naked arm, sending shivers down my body, "If you need, just call. I'm always around." His voice soothed me despite my rising paranoia as he too left. The mysterious stranger and I were alone, and I looked up at him as he stood a good foot above me. His polychoric eyes were more alluring up close, but I didn't have time to marvel at such a unique feature as he extended the pile of clothes in his hands and spoke, surprising me. "Dress up. You can fill up that closet later." I didn't register his words, too shocked that he actually spoke to me. Not to mention how deeply I felt his voice resonate through me, like a fire spreading from my ears and reaching my fingertips and toes, but in a magical way. Most of all, between my legs. I didn't know someone's voice could have such an effect on the body. But it was involuntary on my part, and it was definitely happening. I stood stupefied before his blank facial expression turned to that of slight concern, "You okay?" "Huh?" I mumbled before trying to pull myself together and not make a fool of myself further. He couldn't have noticed his effect on me, right? "Yes! Ehm, yes." I cleared my throat and hastily took the clothes which he had so valiantly brought me. "Um, Thank you?" I asked, hoping to catch his name, but he was not eager to introduce himself or connect that way. He replied with an order, at least it felt like an order. "Dinner's in ten." Without waiting for my response or any questions that I might have, he turned around and left me alone, closing the door behind him. I stood there for a couple of minutes, unsure of what had just happened, before realizing I should get out of the hospital gown and see what the brooding man had chosen for me. There were no undergarments, probably because my size wouldn't have been obvious. I had always been more chunky than my parents preferred, but no matter what I did, I had never managed to lose weight. So, after my whole teenage of trying, I gave up and accepted myself for what size I was built. It was XL. Exactly what the tag said on the inside of the sunflower-patterned knee-length white dress. I looked around in the drawers of the side table and found my undergarments from before that accident cleanly placed beside a bunch of basic toiletries. I wondered which one of them undressed me and handled my undergarments. I blush rose up my neck at the thought of the four standing there as I lay naked and unconscious from the accident. But I quickly shook my head, me and four of them? What was I thinking? I had clearly hit my head too hard. I quickly got dressed, not wanting to miss a chance to get out of the room and find out more about the situation I had found myself in. So far, none of the guys had seemed malicious. But as a practicing psychiatrist, I have seen my fair share of very convincing liars and actors with not-so-legal intentions. And I had no intention of waiting around to find out. Just because I was tired of my life and all the tragedies that had stacked on top of each other, didn't mean I was ready to risk it all with four extremely attractive men. Wait. Their level of hotness was not a variable I should be considering. Determined to leave as soon as possible, I opened the door and exited the room. Stepping into the dark wooden hallway, I saw rooms alternating on both sides. The delicious smells were coming from my right, so that's where I guessed everyone was going to be and so, I chose to go left. I hoped to wander onto an exit and leave without risking being caught and told that there was no escape. Kata had been saying some weird stuff. I reached a fork in the path and this time I chose right. A very inconspicuous wooden door was at the end that I opened. A light automatically turned itself on as I entered, making my eyes widen at the sight, making me wonder, 'What have I stumbled on?'
