Chapter 34

We quickly ran towards where Jeross and Solomon was. Their serious facial expressions as they look at the creature they are about to fight suggests that they are afraid that it could cause a lot of serious problem. They are afraid that their skills and capacities were far behind the Sinner who was just staring at us and displaying its creepy smile. Good thing there were no fight that happened yet in between of them right before we came. We were afraid that just the two of them were not enough in order to fight that humungous Sinner. Although we are worried to other gangs, most especially to Gaston and the Vultures, Valour and I chose to fight alongside the two other leaders of other gang for the sake of defeating the greatest risk at this moment. “Hey, you two okay?” Valour quickly asked, the moment we came near Jerross and Valour. he was catching his breath from the furious run we have made just to quickly reach them. Solomon nodded as an answer. “I am glad you’re okay, Valour.” “Sitri helped me.” “How about that Sinner?” I asked them, curious of what it has done so far, aside from just standing. “Nothing. It hasn’t moved nor do anything. It was jus t standing like that as if it was just as statue.” I nodded, “I see. Then we should make it move.” The three men looked at me with rage and confusion. “What kind of stupidity are you thinking, Sitri?” Solomon asked. His voice was furious. “We should make it move now. We shouldn’t just waste our time here staring at him while doing nothing. Behind us is another war, those members of our gang who needs help and rescue from us, to get rid of those annoying Sinners.” “But what are you doing?” Jerross asked. I wield my jaded knives. Soon as I did it, I heard Valour clicking his tongue, annoyed, and then wielded his sword abruptly. “Stay here firs, Solomon, Jeross. That woman wouldn’t stop without fulfilling her plan. I’ll just bay sit her. Just follow us whenever you think we both need it,” he said. I looked at him with annoyance, and then with a flick, I rolled my eyes away of him to say that he’s a jerk. Now without any hint, I ran. Fast. Reaching where the giant Sinner was, I made a strong grip on my jaded knives. Valour was following me behind. Both of us has moved as quick as the wind. And then, when I am certain that I can slice his weird body, particularly on its left leg, the Sinner started to move. It dodged my attack, and then made a counter attack by using its long tongue. His tongue rapidly whipped towards me, but I have been expecting it already (since I have already observed it to the other Sinners who have first attacked; that they can use their long tongues to assault their enemies), that is why I’ve had enough time to dodge it. See, I am able to make the Sinner move and start attacking us. It was just waiting for us to do the first move. I never knew that Sinners could have such high pride as this one. Since I wanted to finish this one as quick as possible, I made my choice of satisfying his pride of not being the one to attack first. After all, no matter who attacked first would not determine the end result of the fight. After dodging the attack of the Sinner, I have noticed that Valour was already in midair, and was about to s***h the Sinner. Since the humungous Sinner has its attention all focused on me, it was late when he noticed Valour about to s***h him. As the Sinner looked at the direction of Valour, the sword was already swinging down, and made a fine cut on the Sinner’s face—from left eyebrow, to its eyes, down to its cheek. The pain that has surged from the cut must be hard to deal with. The Sinner cried in frustration and anger as it hold its wounded face. Out of nowhere, the huge Sinner threw a quick whip of its tongue towards us. So fast and powerful that it could precisely cut us into two if we weren’t able to dodge it. Good thing we have quick reflexes as well, that is why we were saved. Both of us dropped our bodies down the ground just to evade that slice attack. His attack hadn’t stopped yet. From above, we saw its tongue about to smash us. We both evaded it by rolling away of it, me rolling towards left, Valour on the right. The floating dirts and dusts had made me hard to look at the surrounding. Added with tiny pebbles that was falling as if it was a rain (thanks to the forceful smashing of the Sinner’s tongue), it was so hard to move and predict what would be the best next move of me and of our opponents. However, outside the realm of dusts and debris that surrounds me, I’ve heard other noises of clashing weapons and the Sinner’s grunts. “Sitri, Valour! are you both okay?!” the voice from the outside asked. I recognized it being from Solomon. “I’m okay!” said Valour from the other side of the realm of dusts. “Damn that Sinner. I’ll make sure to cut its right eye too,” he added with rage. “I’m okay too!” I said in order for them to stop worrying. “You said we’ll follow you when the time comes the both of you needs help. That’s why we came to rescue. Let’s kill this dirty booger over here,” said Jeross with confidence.
