CH 5 Thornwick Pov

He enjoyed walking Wyatt to look at the school. He could see Mia hated it. He really hurt her. She really does hate him. He knows he deserves it. When he tried to pay for the uniform, she was really ticked off at him. He wasn't trying to make out like she couldn't pay. He just wanted to buy Wyatt something.

He knows he's his son, he's done the math, and he looked at the school paperwork she'd written out his date of birthday she was pregnant when she left whether she knew or not. He apologised, but he was pushing his luck, so when she asked him to leave, he did.

He walked back to the Pack house to find his father waiting for him on the pack steps. What is it, Father?

"We were meant to have a walk through with the security team an hour ago.". Sorry, he walked Mia and her son Wyatt to the school he wants to go to school here while he's visiting family.

"Why? it closes for two weeks on Friday."

He just said father, Wyatt likes school and he wants to go to school while he's here, never been to a pack school before

"How long are they staying?" As long as she wants, back off father.

"Or you'll what?" Father challenged him. He'll put your retirement off? father scowled at him.

"Can we walk it now?" Father said. Yes

It took a couple of hours to walk around. Check all the boarders and patrolman to ask them if they think anything would help them. A few gave some good ideas. Checked all the cameras and marked down a few areas for new ones. He was on the front steps when she walked past. He saw her pull Wyatt closer to her.

Great still hates his father.He doesn't blame her if he's honest, but if Wyatt is his son. It's not going to go down well if his father wants to get to know him.

"I hope you're not thinking about going back, they son." Dad, mind your own business. He is not 18 anymore it's his choice who he chooses to be with, not yours.

"Fine, but she is not Luna material." If you say so, as normal, you know nothing. He'll go order the new equipment. He just had to get away from his father.

He went to get lunch, sat and ate by himself, and he needed time to think. He walked back to his office to find Charlie sat in one of the arm chairs. Charlie, sorry. Did we have a meeting?

"No, but I think we need a talk."

Okay, he sat down. "Can I speak freely to you as your friend, not as Alpha and Gamma?" she asked. Is this about Mia?

"Yes."

Go ahead. "She is our Luna, isn't she?" she openly asked him.

What makes you say that? "I can sense it. My wolf can. She has this overly need to protect and care for her. She's your mate, isn't she?".

He does feel something toward her, but he doesn't know if it's because we were in love once or it's more than that.

"Thornwick, I know you're sorry, and you were hurt and angry with yourself, but how you acted was painful to see.We all thought you'd just sort it out with her after a day or so but you didnt".

He was trying to find the right words, but then she decided to leave, and the longer he left it, the harder it got to go speak with her. He tried many times to visit her, but he'd never get they. He always get half way they and turn around. When she left, he realised he didn't care she was wolfless. He wanted her.

"She's not wolfless anymore," Charlie said

He knows, but she still hasn't told him anything about her shifter. She is scent blocking herself somehow.

"Yeah, I noticed that myself something is missing from her scent."

Yes, he agreed.

"Gave her time, apologise, and be different, Thornwick, don't be your Father,". What do you mean?.

"Don't get me wrong, i mean no disrespect Thornwick, he's been a good Alpha looks after us, gives us what we need. But as a man, he's cold, hard. He's not gentle, no warmth from him. I wouldn't go to him about anything personal. If it doesn't benefit him, he doesn't care. Don't be like that. Be softer and gentle.It doesn't make you weak. it makes you compassionate. " Charlie said.

He was like that once. "Yes, you was, but you let your father in your head and take your humanity away. Mia is your humanity. The pack always loved her, you know that. All was gutted when she left. We might get annoyed with you, Thornwick, but we all love you and respect you, be who you were." Charlie said. Thank you.

He sat and thought about what Charlie said. He was different. He needs to be better. He sorted some business work. We were a wealthy pack. We have an estate agency with a building company attached to it. We build houses, advertise, and sell, and they help each work and make a profit.

We are just getting our home design company up and running at the moment. One of the projects houses Mia is in is a show home. He could ask her if anything she would change. He'll do that tomorrow. See how our chat goes this evening.

He went down to dinner and waited around ate with his unit, but Marcus must have noticed.

"She's eating her dinner at the house. Mom stocked her kitchen." Oh, okay, he was just wanting to see how they are settling in.

"All good, Alpha.Dont concern yourself, " he got up and walked away.

He went back to his office. Mia was coming at 8 pm, "Do you think she will ever like us again?" Pyrite asked.

He didn't know, buddy. She has reasons to be mad, but she probably doesn't trust our love for her. He sat waiting, and he heard a knock come in Mia.

She walked in, beautiful as ever. Pyrite was purring. She greeted him formally. He got straight to it as she didn't seem to want to be here.He asked straight if Wyatt was his son. She answered yes like it was nothing. No emotion in her answer. His apology was never going to be enuf.

He made a stupid comment in heat of the moment. He thought those claws were going to come out and rip his head clean off.

When she held out her hand for his hand to show him her memories, his first thought was he gets to touch her and second she has gifts?. When she showed him how he was, what he did, what he looked like, He was a monster.

What his father did, she is right. He knew she might be his mate and wanted to get rid of her, and he won. He felt her pain. It hurts his wolf, and he whimpers.

"Mate hurt in pain, fix it." Pyrite said.

He could tell he was being too much for her. She obviously has a shifter now as she put him well in his place.He didn't want to get on her bad side. He didn't think he'd survive.

She must have mind linked her brother as Marcus came straight away, being protective.

"Mia, go now he said. She ran.

Marcus, he's trying to fix it.

"You don't get it, Thornwick, do you. It's too late. You've taken too long to fix it. 10 years no visits, no phone calls, nothing. It took you 10 years to say sorry. It means nothing. You've only apologies cos she's here and now you know Wyatts, your son. " Marcus stated.

You knew all this time? "Yes, of course i knew she's my sister. I know when she is lying, so i lied for her. You didn't deserve to know, " He said.

He punched him, and Marcus hit him back. We were full on fighting in his office. If he's honest, it's been a long time coming. Alton and Charlie broke us up.

"Stop it," Charlie said.

"Why? this has been brewing for years he doesn't deserve a mate and definitely doesn't deserve my sister. "

"Well, at least your sibling is alive to protect," Charlie said.

That stopped us both in our tracks. Charlie, we are sorry.

"I said that to make you realise that this doesn't fix anything, doesn't change the past. What's done is done, you know, aswel as all of us Marcus, Mia loves Thornwick always will, always has. She's angry, and she's hurt, and Thorn knows that, but he can't fix it with you trying to stop it. It won't fix itself. You have to give him a chance to try. " Charlie said.

"And if he screws it up again?" Marcus asked.

"Then he'll have his own flesh and blood son to deal with cos that boy is very protective of his mother and he might be 9 but i bet he has power behind those hands especially if thinks his mother is in pain and to have your own child hate you, that emotional pain will kill him alone. " Charlie said.

She was right. It would kill him if Wyatt hated him.They all left, but no words were said. He must have fallen asleep as his personal omega woke him up, Lousia. What time is it?

"6am Alpha" oh crap he missed training

"Yes, you did. Are you okay?" Yes, Louisa, he's fine.

"Don't lie to me, boy, i mean Alpha sorry". Louisa has been his omega since he was 1 year old she the only omega that would ever yell or raise her voice at him.

He fell asleep. "I know i need to clean your office, but you're in it." he laughed, sorry Louisa. She sat down.

Louisa was like his big sister was always here for him. "Let me guess, Mia?"

How do you know? "That girl could always put you in a diz in a good way." she said.

He has a lot of making up to do. "It's not about making up Thornwick it's about showing her that it won't happen again. You won't act that way. " How?

"That's for you to figure out. I'd start by showing up. You never missed anything when you were together to be present without crowding, " she said.

He went showered, had breakfast, and then he remembered it was Wyatt first day of new school. Show up, be present. He's his son. A parent would normally go. He was walking to the school. He could hear arguing. It was Mia and Wyatt.

He wasn't going to say anything, but when he said "I hate you," he couldn't hold back. Wyatt, dont ever speak to your mother like that. Both looked startled by his words.But she sent him into class. She turned those gorgeous blue eyes on him, angry but still gorgeous.

"What are you doing here?" Sorry, he wasn't going to intrude, but Wyatt shouldn't say that you're his mother.

"Thornwick, he's 9 kids say dumb s**t they don't mean. I know my son doesn't hate me. He's just mad because he's not getting his own way, that's all."

Sorry, he didn't mean to intrude. He was just trying to support you as another parent would he knows he's not an active parent yet, but he would like to try to be. He wasn't trying to undermine you.

She softens slightly, "Thank you, i appreciate it. but in an argument, please don't get involved. ".

He got it. Do you mind him asking what the argument was about? "You."

"I did, but he 9 he's seen friends with both parents his whole life, and he never thought he'd have a dad, and now you're here he's confused. He has this need to fix everything. I wonder who he gets that from?". He smiled, sorry least Wyatt is gorgeous like you.

She blushed a little, Louisa was right, showed up, and was present. He better get to work, is they anything you need?

"Like what?"

Erm, he didn't know, like anything for work yourself recording equipment, etc?

"Oh no, I have everything, maybe a electrician it a lot of equipment and power I'll be using. I don't want to blow up the house," she said.

We actually had a conversation and no arguing. He turned, and Wyatt stood they. Wyatt, come here, please.

"I'll be late." He's the Alpha. You're fine.

"Well, I knew you'd come and defend her." You planned your argument?, "Yes." Wyatt, you went too far.

"I know I'll apologize after school." You better go in.

"Can i come to your office after school? I want to talk to you," Yes, of course, 3 pm? "Yes, okay."

He's going to get told off from a 9 year. He best tell Mia. He walked to the house and knocked.

"Hi Alpha, what can i do for you?".

Wyatt caught him after you left and said he wanted to come to his office after school to talk. He just wanted to tell you so that you didn't think he was going behind your back.

It's was the longest 6 hours of his life waiting for his son to arrive, "our son," Pyrite said. He's missed so much. Wyatt walked in. How was school? "good". what do you want to talk about?

"Mother? She told me about what happened between you two. Was it the truth?".

Yes, he was young. 18, he was more about pleasing his father than himself, he confessed. He hurt your mother badly, and he regrets it. He knows now all of it was wrong. but he hurt your mother Wyatt very badly. He's seen it for himself. It's going to take her some time for her to trust him again, that's if she ever will.

"Do you still love her?" Yes. "Do you have anyone else?" he did, but not now.

"Why?" Once he saw your mother again, it all clicked into place she's his future mate.

"I know. i might be 9, but i know how our world works." Wyatt said. His son was smart. He just needs a full moon to scent her.

"You might have to wait longer to scent mom. We won't be here for the full moon." Why?

"We always go to the October festival that weekend. It's my birthday. " Yes, it is sorry.

"It's okay, you didn't know it was my birthday." Yes, he did see it yesterday when Mia wrote out his school forms but didn't realise it was this weekend. lost track of days, that's all.

"Oh, can you move it?" Wyatt asked.He doesn't know, maybe it's a lot to change.

"Well, it would show Mother we mean more to you than a ceremony? I better go she'll be expecting me." Wyatt said.

"It must have been something great. We are amazing," Wyatt smiled. That you are son.

"Oh, before I go, mom likes red roses and orange cream chocolates, and Scarlet likes red velvet cake. mom doesn't, but she will eat it for Scarlet."

"Oh no, not happening, I'll give you 1 thing, but you have to work on Scarlet yourself, she will see straight through it if i help you, she will know its me" Wyatt said.
