-Dean- “Show me, little mate,” I said, feeling her lean into my touch. But then something shifted within her. She quickly pulled away, slapping my hand aside. Her eyes blazed with anger. “Do. Not. Touch. Me,” she said firmly before walking around the desk and storming out of the room. I stared after her, bewildered. What had just happened? One moment she seemed to want me close, and the next, she was completely changed. It wasn’t just anger. There was fear in her eyes. It troubled me deeply. What kind of demons was my little mate battling in her mind? I wanted to understand so I could help protect her from them, but my guards came in and ushered me out of the room.
