Running From Reality

            I know what you're thinking "another badass from the wrong side of the tracks", but the problem here is that's not true. You see my life was pretty good up until my 14th birthday. My family was wealthy and we honestly had a perfect life.                 *2 years ago*             "Good morning, Papa," I cried out excitedly as I ran down the stairs, " Is Momma home yet?" I was so happy that my family was gonna be together on my birthday.             It rarely happened because my mom or dad was always gone on "business", which meant they had to check on the Forest. The Forest is the kingdom where all fantasy or paranormal beings live.              When I finally got to the kitchen, what I saw would never ever and I mean f*****g ever leave my mind. My parents were laying there dead. I couldn't save them. They were just on the ground beaten and stabbed. and there was a note written in their blood. "See what happens when you put your guard down, you can't save yourselves - Outlaws"                  *Present*              Now, I'm just a 16-year-old girl that doesn't give a s**t anymore. My name Is Rosie Hope Morgan, I'm just the "badass from the wrong side of the tracks".              Right now I'm supposed to be in anatomy class, but I'm outside getting stoned. I have a few friends like Parker, Ian, and Dylan. we have all been friends since middle school. Sometimes I feel like they are watching me for some spies. Who knows it might just be the weed talking.              As I make my way through the school and to my locker I see my boys wait for me. I already know that they are about to give a lecture to me.             "Rosie Hope, where the f**k have you been," I heard Dylan yell at me as I approach them, "You had us worried sick."             "Yeah, what the f*****g bloody hell," Parker adds, "You could have been dead for all we knew."              "For real, Rose, you had us scared to death," Ian quickly says, but I can tell his deminer changed along with the rest of the guys. This never happens so I was kinda worried.             "Chris Evans," all three of them say. Chris Evans is a safe word we made. We only use it if one of us is in a life or death situation.             Next thing I know we're running out of the school and to the woods.              We get about 5 miles into the woods when some weird-ass s**t starts to happen. Firstly Dylan turns into a f*****g werewolf, then Ian turned into a goddamn dragon, but lastly Parker h- he turned into a vampire worrier. "What the f**k is going on guys?" I yelled.             "Queen Rosie, you need to stay calm and be quiet," Dylan's wolf mind linked me. "Now hop on and hold on madam. We have to get you to the Forest!"             Before I knew it I was mind linking him back, "What in the hell is the forest!!" That's when he stopped and got me off his back.              "You're a werewolf too?!?"             "I guess so, but why did we stop?"              "Call the name of your imaginary friend, the one that you forgot about when Ana and Adam died!"             "City Elizabeth, I call on you to come back."              "One more time my Queen."             "CITY ELIZABETH, I CALL ON YOU TO COME BACK!"  .            After that, I heard her, my wolf was back.
