CHAPTER 3

Alex's wife was a jewelry designer, she designed the necklace for their wedding anniversary. After she passed away, he sold the necklace at the auction , as she asked him to before she died. Alex asked Ann for a favor, he told her he would like her to wear the necklace and the new dress he designed, to the stage with him,As respect to his deceased wife.

Liam told him that Ann was having a stomach ache and would like to go home.

Liam held Ann and they went through the entrance door.

"Wait. Wait" Ann said, she turned to Liam , "Our deal isn't over yet, didn't you see how Alex looked at me? He just wanted me to put on the necklace and stand on the stage in the wedding dress he designed , In memory of his deceased wife . What's the problem with that?" She asked staring at him in confusion

"That's not in my plan" he said keeping a straight face staring at her

Your plan..your plan is just to use his feelings for his deceased wife to get close to him.she said

"My plan is to Cooperate with him" Liam said , staring at her, "besides I don't allow anyone to disturb my plans". Ann looked at him, she wondered why he's cold hearted.

"You have no empathy, do you?" she asked. Liam took a deep breath, he walked close to her , what is he trying to do, she was scared. He reached for her back and removed the necklace from her neck.

"The ball is over , if you don't leave , your pumpkin carriage will turn back into a pumpkin " he said in a scarsam way. Then he leaves..

"How ungrateful you are! Ann shouted, took a deep breath.

She brought out her phone and called Zoe. She told Zoe she managed to make Alex get to know her, she couldn't get the wedding dress because of a conceited man(Liam) who just made use of her. but she'll think of a way to get the wedding dress.

Meanwhile, Liam called Joe to tell the law department to prepare the contract 'marry me' with Alex . Earlier on, Alex had invited Liam to breakfast tomorrow. He knows his plans are walking out.

Alex was giving a speech at the party when Liam spotted Ann talking to the security, he surprisedly looked at her he thought she had already left for home.

"What is she doing here? . Ann told the security guy she had lost her necklace in the restroom. The security guard walks up to Alex and tells him the news . Alex announced that if anyone picked up a necklace they should give it to her..Liam quickly moved to the front stage where Ann was,

"Ann" she turned and saw Liam who walked up to her, he smiled at her .

"You went to the restroom in a rush and left the necklace to me. You don't remember? He asked, gazing upon her.

" I did? Ann smiled mischievously and looked at him , "I had such a bad memory," she said. Liam scoffed, and put the necklace back to her neck .

"From now on , I'll keep this necklace very carefully " she says to Alex, " it occurs to me that nothing is perfect for this necklace, but a marry me dress. But I heard it's hard to buy one . May I buy one from you? She asked Alex

" No problem , I live in room 3303 of this hotel , visit me at any time , if you're free tomorrow "Liam looked at him. This wasn't his plan. Ann chuckled. " I'm so grateful"

Alex turned to Liam " I hope you'll enjoy the wonderful night. Then he walks away .

Liam turned to Ann his gazed at her, as she stare

"May I dance with you?" He asked . She laughed softly then replied, "I'm leaving , if not ,my pumpkin carriage will be gone. Liam scoffed."Now that you are back, you won't leave until you handle the awful mess. Ann accepts the dance . " Do you know that your unauthorized action would be very risky? Liam asked Ann while they danced, staring into her eyes. " You've got what you want . I've got mine . We had quite nice cooperation " Ann said to him, Liam scoffed, "it's not yet time to celebrate yet." He said, staring at her as they danced. After the dance, Ann turns to leave, " necklace " he said keeping a straight face..Ann stops and turns to look at him..she took a deep breath , she removed the necklace and handed it over to Liam. "See you. Never again" she said angrily as she walked away.

NEXT DAY

Ann went to visit Alex at his hotel,for the 'marry me' dress

'Mr.Alex,' she called, stood up and went to meet him . "Miss Ann , didn't Mr Liam say you had a cold? He asked. Ann didn't know why Liam would tell Alex that but she had to fake the cough . "I did feel unwell but I'm much better now" she said softly.

"You've waited for long?" he asked. "no, I just arrived, " she said, staring at him. "didn't you say you could sell me the 'Marry me' wedding dress? " Are you going back on your promise? She asked. Alex look in surprise,

"didn't Hemsworth tell you? Alex asked, "tell me what?she asked

"'Marry me' will settle in GENESIS mall. Half an hour ago, we signed the contract. Considering your relationship, shouldn't he give you the wedding dress? Ann looked surprised she couldn't believe what just happened.

" I'm i spoiling his surprise?" Alex asked, smiling .

"This isn't a surprise but a shock"

"Shock?" she chucked

"Just kidding, he hasn't told me about it yet"

"Then don't tell him, that I spoilt his surprise " he said smiling

Ann leaves the hotel and Alex gazes at her. He likes her, but doesn't have the opportunity to tell her that because he thinks she's in a relationship with Liam. Ann got home feeling frustrated.

"Zoe" she called her voice softly and down

"Ah, How was it going?Did you get the order? Zoe asked, feeling concerned. She stood up and ran to Ann, she could tell from the look of Ann's face that something was up ."what? What happened? She asked again

"You know what, Mr Liam is such a bad guy! She said, her voice raised in anger, "how could someone mess up such a thing? He ruined my order".

"Liam Hemsworth annoyed you again?" Zoe asked, looking surprised. Ann nodded

"Looks like you are he are destined to meet " she said in a sarcasm way

"In a bad way." Ann said , taking a deep breath.

" I have two pieces of news for you, they may stir you up" Zoe said looking at Ann

"Go ahead, I can handle it, " Ann said, folding her arms and waiting for the news.

"I found the man who overtook your car"

"Who's he? Ann asked eager to know

"Someone you're familiar with"

Ann gasped, feeling a bit scared, "don't stare at me like that " she said Zoe blinking at her smiling

" It can't be him, can it? "Congratulations, you always have good instincts." Zoe said smiling and nodding her head

"Liam Hemsworth!" Ann shouted. She wishes if murder was legal, Liam would be the first one to go down.

Zoe held her shoulder, "you've got famous"

"I've got famous? Ann asked, feeling surprised. "you haven't checked Weibo have you?" Zoe asked, showing Ann the latest trending photos of her and Liam together in a romantic way at the party.(mysterious rich Mr Liam Hemsworth at a fashion party with his secret girlfriend )

Suddenly her phone rang, it was her boyfriend Raymond calling.

"Hello Raymond "

"Ann Madison, come to my house when you have time , take away all your belongings " . "Come on Raymond I.." Raymond ended the call before she could complete her words.

"Hello?" She got no response, it dawned on her that Raymond wants to break up with her because of the trending photos online . She asked Zoe to follow her to Raymond's house so she could explain herself.. Zoe agreed and they left.

Ann texted Raymond, "Raymond where are you? . Raymond texts back" I'm in a meeting let's talk tonight "
