Chapter 4

The walk on the beach wasn't as relaxing as i thought, all thanks to Matt, and so i decide to go back home.

As soon as am in my room,my phone rings.

It's Miguel.

I pick the call smiling like a fool.

" Hey, Where are you! I miss you terribly already and I need to see you."

" Am in my room, Miguel. "

" Okay.. I'll be there in a few. "

" Okay, " I say hanging up.

I sit lay back on the bed and wait.

I put on some music to keep me company before Miguel gets here and my favourite song Way back home by Shaun is on.

Am inlove with this song and always sing along to it but right now, every word in it hits home!

It's a sad love song about two lovers finding their way back to each other, and it only reminds me that Miguel is leaving soon.

My mind goes back the kissing session Miguel and I had this morning, and I get goosebumps all over.

Just yesterday, I could only dream about it but now it's reality!

I love the fact that he's mine but am not sure whether to be happy or sad because he's leaving.

Why does it have to be like this?

I really don't want him to go, but I also can't stop him.

If he's my destiny like I believe he is, am sure he'll come back to me safe and sound.

Seconds, minutes , hours pass and he's still not here. I find myself dozing off while still thinking of whether he's coming or not.

Am woken up by a kiss on the lips. I open my eyes just to see Miguel, smiling down at me.

" Hey.. Am sorry for taking too long but my mum sent me out for an errand. I was going to tell you but I somehow left my phone in my bedroom," he says apologetically.

" It's okay.. All that matters is that you are here now. "

" I brought you something, " he says giving me some chocolate, frozen yogurt and fish tacos. I take them excitedly!

" Thank you so much! I love fish tacos !" I say almost squealing.

" I know."

"You are the sweetest boyfriend ever! I still can't believe that you are actually my boyfriend! "

" I can't believe it too... Your mum will be so happy when we tell her."

" Am sure she will. "

" So.. What were you and Matt talking about? Was he by any chance bothering you?"

" No.. He just wanted to drive me to the city but I didn't let him," I decide to lie.

Am sure if I tell him the truth, he won't hesitate to start a fight with Matt.

I don't want to course more problems between them. I mean, they are family after all.

" Are you sure? That guy is a p*****t and I already told him to stay away from you. If he tries anything funny with you, am going to kill him! "

" He wouldn't dare because I'd kill him before you do. Now don't get all worked out over Matt. He's not worth it," I say caressing his cheeks.

" You are right," he says kissing my hand. " There's something I want to ask you, and please be honest with me. "

" Okay.. Sure. "

" Is the reason why you are not in School yet, money related? "

" Uumh.. Yes. Mum doesn't have enough money yet, but don't worry I'll help her out as soon as i get a job. "

" Why don't you let me help you out. Am your boyfriend now, and that makes you my responsibility. "

" Actually..... it doesn't. I know you are only trying to help but no thanks. "

" You can't say no to me little Fabi Come on! You think I'd just watch as you struggle with this?"

" You know that wouldn't be the right move to pull. When your mum,and everyone else finds out about that, they'll think am with you for the money. That will make it even harder for her to accept our relationship. "

" When it comes to you, I really don't care what my mum or any one thinks. "

" But I do.. I really want her to accept us! "

" And she will, she has no reason not to babe, stop stressing. "

" Okay.. But I have to talk to my mum about it first. "

" I had already talked to your mum, about this four months ago, after I noticed you had no plans of going to college yet."

" What?! What did she say? "

" She was just as stubborn as you were at first. She said she'd agree to it only if you did. You two are so much alike you know, " he says with a smile nodding his head. " I didn't ask you then, because you were pretty much avoiding me, and I was sure you'd say no. "

" Thank you, and you can be sure that I'll pay you back every single dine!"

" You know you don't have to. "

" I know, but that's the only condition I have, if you want me to accept the money. "

" Okay.. Jeez! You are so stubborn! and I just love that about you!" he says biting his lower lip. "

Damn!!!

" I Love everything about you! " i say leaning in and kiss him without a warning. "

He pulls me closer, and we are all over each other in seconds.

" Wait..." he says pulling back. " As much as I want to, we can't do this here. "

" You are right, " I say kind of dissapointed.

" Do you have any plans for tonight? I'd like to take you somewhere."

"Nope.. Am all yours tonight, " I say winking at him.

" Great! I got us two concert tickets, " he says showing me the tickets."

" They are tickets to Jencarlos Canelo concert! f**k! I love that guy!" I say kneeling on the bed almost squealing. " I thought the concert was already sold out? "

" It was but I have my ways. I couldn't let you miss this opportunity since I know how much you love Jencarlos ! I mean, everyone knows it. "

" Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!! " I say jumping on him and give him a hug.

Mum walks in when we are still hugging, and I quickly let go.

" Hi Miguel, I didn't know you were in here, " she says looking at us curiously. " What are you guys up to? "

" Miguel just got us tickets to go see Jencarlos Mum! Can you believe that?! "

" That's so nice of you Miguel. This a dream come true for my daughter! " Mum says and she's right.

Every dream I ever had seem to be coming true today!

I should mark today as the best day of my life!

" It was nothing mum. Am here to make all your daughters dreams come true ," Miguel says looking at me adoringly, and I smile looking back at him.

" Okay.. I know that look, " Mum say looking from Miguel to me." Is there something going on between you two? "

"Yes mum.. Miguel and i are together. He's...my boyfriend , " I say while we both watch her, as she takes in the news.

She doesn't look surprised at all, but I can tell she's a little bit concerned.

" Boyfriend? ....when did that happen?" she asks.

" We started dating today mum, " Miguel says walking over to her and tskes her hand. " I really do love Fabiola and I can assure you, I'll never hurt her in anyway. "

" I know that Miguel. I had a feeling you two liked each other and I knew this would happen sooner or later. There's no one in this world I'd trust with my daughter other than you," mum say with a smile. The only problem here is your mother. Have you told her yet. "

" No, but I'll do it soon. Fabi wanted us to tell you first. Do we have your blessings? "

" Of course! I support you a hundred percent. My only advice is that you tell your mum as soon as possible. Don't let her hear it from someone else. "

" Sure, am planning on telling her tomorrow. "

"Good! I'll get back to work now."

" Thank you for accepting us mum. I love you, " I say giving her a hug before she leaves.

" I love you more Fabi."

" One parent down, one to go, " Miguel says as soon as mum leaves.

" Yeah.. Let's hope your mum will be as understanding as mine. "

" Am sure she will. Now get ready, we don't want to be late for the concert. "

" Of course we don't. Give me thirty minutes."

" Okay.. I'll go get ready too. See you after thirty minutes, mi amor!" he say pecking my lips.

" See yah, " I say as I watch him leave.

Oh how I love that guy!
