“We’re almost thee now, I’ve got to go…” His mother’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts promptly. Panic ran up his throat, and abruptly, he blurted “Wait, mom. Does the boy’s mother know who I am?” “No. I didn’t mention it.” “Good.” An inexplicable feeling of relief settled down inside his chest. “Let’s keep it that way.” There was a moment of silence, before his mother murmured. “She’s bound to find out sooner or later, you know.” “Mom.” Graeme said, making his voice steely.
