Chapter 32 Trying To Help

---Celine's POV---

I can't stop worrying about Shane.. he is my everything now and I only just got him I don't want anything bad to happen to him.. but I have a bad feeling about all this mission.. not about having to help that poor girl out because we do need to do that for sure.. but something about tonight has had my heart rapidly beating continuously to the point that I just can't seem to calm myself down at all.

I'm nervously shaking my leg sitting and staring in the direction of the pack house, not knowing what I'm looking for by any means just wanting some type of sign that he is ok.

I stare out into the darkness and see nothing even with the couple of lights they have on around the property. I keep staring as I finally see the three wolves pass by from the trees off to the side and headed to another tree across the way next to the house. I let put a sigh of relief at that sight just watching them look like shadows in the night.

I watch them intently, but there's an issue.. I really start to get anxious at the sight of the border patrol approaching their way.. They can't even see them and I can't warn them about.. I observe as the patrol keep talking back and forth, flashing their flashlights away from the guys which is good.. luckily not even noticing the guys on the other side of them thankfully.

I can see that no one else is coming as the three of them turn the corner and out of my line of sight. I let out a deep breath still staring in that same area waiting for a sign.. of who knows what.

I sit there staring as I see a man I don't know with a lady dragging her away from the house.. wait.. I squint trying to see her better.. Is that the woman we are trying to help? It looks like her with the same red dress as earlier tonight. What does that mean for my guys? Where are they at if not with her? I think to myself as I see the alarms blaring on as the lights around the property flipping on... no no no.. this can't be happening he has to get out.. right?

Without even realizing it I'm already out of the car and moving towards the scene.. I think that's my wolf's doing, she is so good about taking control in a sneaky way, to where I don't notice it before it's to late to really do anything about it of significance.

Somehow the walking has turned to running across the treeline to get a better look at the guys if I can. I'm running through the bushes and trees as swiftly and quietly as I can muster up in this moment. I'm going around the property just trying to get a better look from afar, so I don't involve myself because Shane would kill me if he knew I even got out of the car.. But I have to know if he is ok.. even just a quick glance to see if Shane is alright is all I need in this moment.

I can see all three of my guys being brought into the pack house with plenty of guards following them in.. no no no... dammit.. I have to tell their mother so maybe she would have an idea to help them out of this place.

I turn around to get back to the car as I see the man taking the girl away as she struggles pulling on the chains that I can hear clinking from around her wrists.

"Please stop please, he is my chosen.. I have to help him.. just let me go.. you don't have to go back there but I do.. Quinton came here for me to help me and now he is in trouble.. please." I hear her beg of him as he continues to pull her through the trees. She pulls back again fighting his hold until he comes to a stop, huffing in frustration as he states for her to hear.

"I don't care who he is to you, I'm being paid to bring YOU to the Alpha and that's it.. nothing in-between.. I'm just a delivery man. I aquire the merchandise and take it to it's destination.. My tasks have nothing to do with other wolves.. So sorry but I can't. I barely got you out without being spotted.. if we go back we are both doomed.. and there is no way I'm letting you go so sorry." He declares for her to hear and before I know it once again I'm closer to them than I ever realized.

"You're the reason they are trapped in there.. you owe it to them!" I declare from the trees to him as I step out in the open to be seen.. he quickly turns and scoffs at me. "What? Are you the get away driver for those dumb wolves?"

"It doesn't matter what I am.. that's my mate in there and you screwed him over all because you're stealing this mate, that's not yours.. but she is my brother's." I spat at him as he states. "You can't stop me and I'm not going back in there.. we barely got out in the first place.. I'm not stupid enough to go back in." He says as I get to her side in no time at all, pulling on her arm to bring her with me. She doesn't object one bit, leaning with me to go with the flow causing him to shake his head.

"She is my assignment.. I got her on my own.. now leave us alone pest, so I can take her in." He demands from me as I watch him pull her chains more but she pulls back with my help. I scoff at that comment still holding her tighter than before. I'm not letting this happen to that poor girl.. I have been there, done that.. and know all to well the terrors that happen behind those closed doors. I start growling at him in defense of her making sure he knows I won't go without a fight.

"I'm not going anywhere, I came here to help her and that's what I'm going to do." I retort to him as he rolls his eyes turning around and walking straight up to me. "Fine if you insist." He says to me as he takes something out of his pocket and blowing it in my face. I feel the dust sprinkle across my face as my senses are dulled completely on contact.. I feel the stranger grab hold of me as my body goes limp almost instantly. The darkness takes over me as I fall into a deep sleep.

---Evelyn's POV---

I can't actually believe that Quinton came for me.. of course I hoped he would but to find me in this random place far away from where I last saw him.. I didn't think that was possible.. but here he is and now getting in trouble for me too. I feel so bad.. he came here to get me out and now he is stuck in that prison.

That Alpha Jagger was awful.. I don't want to know the things he would do to him in there.. he might think they are involved with me missing.. What do I do to help?.. If I go back, I get captured again by that horrible man, but at least I would be with Quinton.. but I'm sure Alpha Jagger would take more out on him, knowing he is my chosen too.

I keep pulling back on the chains hating this because yes I was going willingly before, when I thought he was helping me get out of that hell hole.. but now I know his true intentions so I won't make this easy on him.

I keep pulling then arguing with him as I can tell he is getting frustrated at me. But I don't care I want to help Quinton.

Out of the darkness comes this beautiful woman yelling about how she is here to help me.. what? Who are all these people I don't know coming to help me? This is so strange.. I watch her get defensive over me as she inches closer and closer until she comes into contact, latching her arm around mine posessively.

Come to find out she is with Quinton's group and by the way she is dressed I would say she was at the auction earlier too.. wait does that mean that Quinton was at the Auction too? Did he see me? Bid on me? Is that how he knew how to find me? None of that matters right now. All that matters is getting away with her to save our men.

Without hesitation the man walks up to her and blowing a powder in her face as her body instantly goes limp so he wraps his arms around her. I watch her eyes close, looking as if she is asleep or dead.

"What did you do to her?!" I demand from his as he lays her down on the ground gently. "I put her to sleep don't freak out.. she will be fine and awake soon enough, but long enough for us to get away." He says turning as he tries to pull me but I stand my ground like a statue.

"You can't just leave her here.. they will find her to torture her or just straight kill her.. she came here to help me, you can't leave her right here.. let's take her somewhere safe." I negotiate with him as he shakes his head.

"You are making things harder and harder than what it needs to be.. I'm NOT taking her somewhere safe, she is staying there and whatever happens, happens. Not my problem." He throws his hands up in the air out of frustration, before pulling the chains again. But I'm not going no matter how mad he is getting at me.. So I abruptly sit down by her body and latching myself around her.

"I won't leave her here to die." I say protectively, because she was just here doing the same for me, so why can't I do it for her. "Ugh!" He says getting pissed off at me pushing this.

"Fine.. move!" He demands of me as I do what he instructs. I move to the side and he takes her body flipping it over his shoulder as he treks on through the trees pulling me behind him. I keep looking back at the house to try to see Quinton if even for a small moment, but everyone is gone out of sight.

I let out a deep breath as we trek on, until we see a hidden car. He opens the backseat door demanding from me, "Get in." I stand there for a second wondering if I should get in or try to see if I can get away.

I think he can tell what I'm thinking as he extends his claws and directing them right at the unconscious woman. I groan out as I willingly get into the vehicle so he won't hurt her. Without a moment to lose he throws her lifeless body in the backseat, on top of me.

"No! She is not coming with us! You agreed to take her somewhere safe." I say to him as he yells in the car. "I'm not going out of my way to save this woman.. either I dump her back on their property to have her.. or even on this open road.. or she is coming with us.. It's safer in here than it is for her out there unconscious by herself!"

As much as I hate to admit it he is right.. but she won't be safe in here for long.. so what do I do? Leave her here and just hope for the best for her or bring her with me and try to help her out?

"We can try to help each other and get out together." Myra states to me as I nod.

"Ok fine... you're right." I retort as he nods back. "Good let's go."
