Chapter 12 What To Do?

---Sandy's POV---

This whole ordeal took a couple steps up on the chaos ladder and I don't know what to do to fix it.. I honestly don't know if there is anyway to actually fix what's happened already, but maybe I can help in one way or another to help her get her happy ending.. and just try to forget the middle of it all together. Maybe not.. I guess it's always good to remember how you got to where you want to be in life.. no matter how hard it might be to think about it.

Well on the plus side of things, the visiting wolf looked genuinely mad and even more upset at the fact that the Alpha wouldn't let them be together like they both supposedly wanted. I have never seen anyone yell at the Alpha like that but from what I can put together from everything I have heard, he of course deserved it.

It actually sounded like he just wanted to be with Evelyn. You could tell by the genuine hurt in his words when he was talking with the Alpha. I'm not trying to sound so shocked by this, but she has never had a man actually interested in her like this.. Especially to go to these lengths to get her back.. We will see how long he sticks around when things get tough.

The fact that he seems so genuine in his emotions and feelings for my best friend gave me the confidence to try to help him out with anything that I can do.. Who knows if I can actually help but one could only hope.

I also wanted to make sure to help because of course I love Evelyn as well. she is an amazing girl inside and out.. and probably the best person in this whole pack besides my mate.. he is just tops!

None of this seems fair.. not even remotely.. I will repeat this a million times over to whoever needs to hear this, but she really doesn't deserve any this.

When are the stars going to align for her? When is she going to be given a chance for happiness? She just can't seem to catch a break and believe me she is the one person on this planet that deserves such a break from the tradgedy that is her life.

I really don't know who hates her out there, but someone has a problem with her and doesn't want her to be happy.. I know that we shouldn't believe the Moon Goddess picks favorites, but there are lots of people that get way more than they deserve, no matter what they do.. and then there are people like Evelyn, who just get the short straw in life everytime. Every single time.. But I'm not going to let this happen to her if I have anything to say about it.. Just like that guy said, he is going to do whatever he can to help her and I'm joining in, whether he wants my help or not. I just hope he ends up calling me because I didn't get his name or anything from him.. so he is the only one who can contact me at the moment.

But just in case he does call for me, I'm going to need to make sure that have something to give him.. the only obstacle is the Alpha and he is a big obstacle.

So I don't know how to talk to Zachary about this situation.. He doesn't exactly have a good relationship with his sister, but he is past their animosity they built up, which is good.. It started going away years ago with my help of course.. but he is legitimately scared of his father and no one stands up to him.. We have hypothesized that he might be going ravenous from being separated from his mate for so long but we don't know how to stop him..

He hasn't done anything to heinous that we have proof of just yet.. But I know my mate has been growing more suspicious of him and the things he does around the pack. My mate the understanding and empathetic man he is has agreed with me that everything that has happened to Evelyn, was too cruel and she didn't deserve any of it. But I don't think he will betray his father for her, they aren't doing that well together. Maybe I can convince him to at least help me, because she is my best friend.

I'm sitting on our bed, trying to figure out how to approach this subject with him, it's just not something you talk about casually. This subject brings so many heavy stresses with it and there is no way to talk about this without getting stressed.. So I'm not knowing how to talk about this or exactly what to do at the moment.

I put my hands to my face as I set my elbows on my knees. I let out a deep breathe before I feel the tears falling from my eyes that I never even knew I started crying.

My poor friend.. she deserved so much more than this.. their father is an asshole and I'm so mad he did this to her. What kind of a monster is he? Only a monster could do that to a child of their own flesh and blood and not feel bad about it.

I'm brought out of my deepened thoughts when I can hear the bedroom door opening, I can smell my mates cocoa aroma as I suck in a deep breath to try to calm slightly.. I still just stay in place, making sure he sees me and knows I'm sad, without me saying, that I'm sad.. I need his help and I'll use his love for me to help persuade him to help us out, if I have to.

I know I'm Zachary's weakness.. and he hates seeing me hurt, so I'm going to use that to try to make sure he can help me and my best friend.

"Hey Dee.. what's going in baby?" Zachary asks me as I let out a wavering breath. I try to talk to him about everything, but the overwhelming emotions just hit me like a brick wall so I can only get out squeaks and tears.. I start to really let the flood gates go, as he gets to my side without hesitation.

"Dee what's going on?" He asks me again, with so much concern intertwined in his words, as I feel his hand brushing against my leg, trying to make me feel better. The tears are still pouring so I suck in a sharp breath then letting it out, to try to tell him what happened between each available breathe.

"Evelyn had the best time last night.. she met a great guy and they really hit it off.. so well that he asked her to be his chosen mate." I say as he gets confused about my statement.

"Isn't that a good thing?.. I know you're sad because you won't have her around here, but this will be good for her." He states as I shake my head before continuing.

"No that's not it, your father heard him ask her to be his chosen mate and he charged him 1 million dollars for her.. he couldn't afford that, and your father said since he can't pay that money that he is going to sell her to the Trader for that amount. So he sold her, then drug her away and the wolf that wanted her to be his chosen, is completely upset which is understandable.. We need to do something to help Evevlyn.. you know she doesn't deserve this torment.. this isn't ok." I tell him with so much pain in my voice making sure he can feel it through the mate bond. He groans out still looking at me as he stands up and pacing around the room and every now and then looking back at me. I can tell that his mind is reeling but he is not answering me, if he will help.. I knew this was going to be hard to convince him.

"Please Zachy-poo, you don't have to do this for her but please, I'm begging you to do this for me please.. she is my best friend.. you know I would do it for you if any of your friends needed my help." I declare to him as he groans out again, his pacing increases around the room. I stand up and making my way over to his side. Placing my hand on his arm, gaining his attention. He looks down at me with his beautiful eyes, just staring into mine.

"Please, baby please.." I beg and plead with him as he let's out a groaning deep breath as if I'm winning this persuasion. "Please." I say softer than anything else I have said, because I'm still right next to him and know he can still hear me. He runs his hand through his hair, like he does when he is in deep thought, which is good for me.

"Ok baby, ok... but what could we possibly do?" He says trying to discuss what's suppose to happen. "I need you to get whatever information you can from your father about the Trader so I can give it to the guy that wants to save her... please I'm begging you.. please if not for him or Evelyn's happiness, then for me please my love.. she is my best friend.. please I'm begging you.. I will get down on my knees and beg if you need me to." I plead with him as he thinks about it for a little bit pacing around the room more as I just continue to give him those puppy dog eyes that he can't really resist and hope he loves me enough to help me.

He groans outloud at me as he stops right in front of me before saying, "Ok fine baby just because I love you." He says to me as I jump up onto him without hesitation, latching myself onto his body to make sure he knows how much I appriciate him. He puts his strong around around my body to secure me into him.

"When should I try to get this information by?" He asks me as I lean back, but still wrapped around him, rubbing the back of my neck sheepishly before retorting, "As soon as you can because she was just taken.. so we need to hurry up before anything happens to her." I declare as he let's out another deep breath and nodding, but still holding me tight which I don't mind one bit.

"You're so lucky that you're adorable and that I love you so much Dee." He states as I reply without a moment to lose. "I already know how lucky I am, you don't have to tell me. That's why you're my everything.. because I know I'm the luckiest woman ever.. I love you so much my big, strong wolf." I say to him, gliding my hand lightly across his strong jawline, slowly inching into him to try to get a kiss. He smirks at me and doesn't move closer but I won't have that.. I quickly grab his shirt and pulling his collar to bring his lips to mine with a hunger. His lips press into mine causing us both to moan, while his wolf let's out a satisfied purring, accompanied by my wolf doing the same thing. Because I really do love him with all my heart.

We have to seperate ourselves before we get too carried away, right now at least. He let's me down to my feet as I just bite my lips staring over at him.

"Ok I'll do my best and I'll make sure to be back soon." He says to me as he gives me one more peck on the lips then leaving the room. I really am so lucky, Zachary is the sweetest man alive. I just hope and pray he can find something to help her out.
