Chapter 21 Her Fault

---Sandy's POV---

I wake up at, who knows what time of the night.. but all I know is that I'm completely parched and needing something to quench my thurst after my invigorating sessions with my mate.. we had the first round of course, but as we finished and I was laying down in the bed next to him.. as my attention is grabbed by my notifications that keeps beeping at me over and over again.. When I grabbed my phone to see why it was beeping at me, I realized I missed a call from the Beta trying to help Evelyn out.

I felt awful so I called him back right away giving him the information my mate had put together for him, that he needs to hopefully try to help her.. After hanging up with that call my mate and I started flirting back and forth once more like we always do and that ended up leading into another couple more fun love making sessions keeping us in the room the rest of the night.

I feel like I have the worst case of cotton mouth and I don't have anymore drinks in our mini fridge up here because of course I had to forget to fill it.. and now I'm completely regretting that, even if it wasn't on purpose. So I slowly slip myself out of bed and off of my mate. I do it so slowly in hopes that he doesn't even notice and luckily for me so far, he doesn't.

I slip a shirt and pair of shorts on, as I sneak out of the room, of course as quietly as I can.. I'm not much of a ninja, but I'm doing pretty well if I say so myself.. Moving without making a sound so that I don't wake him up.. he definitely needs his sleep after all the work he just put in for me.. in more ways then one.

So I tip toe down the stairs.. it's night time out, I can tell by how dark it has turned outside through the windows, but I still haven't even looked at a clock yet. We missed dinner for sure.. but who even knows what we would be having or who would be making it since Evelyn is gone. But either way I'm not hungry so that doesn't matter to me.. that's the Alpha's problem for now.

It's slightly muffled but I can hear people talking and joking around in the family gathering area, the closer I get.. but I honestly don't care what they are doing in there I just need a drink and then getting back to my mate.

Since I found Zachary I have had no motivation to hang out with my single friends. I just want to really start this life off with my mate by having babies since we are now mated and marked.. Because that's the next step for us and I couldn't be more excited.. The night he asked me if I wanted to try to start having pups was one of the most memorable nights of my life.. Almost as good as the night that he asked me to be with him as his mate by marking me. It was amazing, completely unforgettable.

"Hey Sandy, I was wondering where I could find Lynn?" Justin asks me prancing his way down the stairs behind me, taking me away from my way better thoughts than him.

"I don't know why you care where she is at.. because all you do is harass her.." I spat at him out of irritation.. I have no tolerance or like for him as a person anymore for what he did to her.. it was wrong on so many levels.. he deserves anything shitty he would get from doing that to her. Karma is a b*tch and I hope she gets him good.

"Come on Sandy.. please just tell me.. did she go for a run again? She does that about this time of the night.. but I was worried because she didn't make any food today, like she always does." He explains to me as I roll my eyes at him. I abruptly stop in my stride before saying. "I don't know why you know her schedule like you actually like her or something.. because you're the only person who makes her cry every week. but if you must know, the Alpha sold her like cattle.. to the Trader to be someone s*x slave.. even after a man asked for her to be his chosen mate last night."

"Wait was it that guy that spent all f*#king night with her so no one else could have a chance?!" He asks with so much anger in his words causing my eyebrows to scrunch more.

"So WHO would have a chance? You? You already had one and you messed it up, so forget about her because she is gone.. so it doesn't matter who wanted her because the Alpha made sure to punish her one last time before sending her off." I spat directly at him so there is no mistaking who I'm talking to.. he likes to pretend like he does nothing wrong at all.. So he needs this to know he is not as perfect as he thinks. I love knocking guys like him down a peg, if I have the chance.

"So she is really gone?" He asks me sadly as I nod my head and turning around, saying over my shoulder to him. "Yea he sold her and I watched the guy carry a crying Evelyn over his shoulder and out of this place... shes gone."

I keep walking down the stairs, until I get to the bottom and I hear him huff then quickly leaving the area. I think he might actually be legitimately sad about her absence.. but if he would have accepted her when he had the chance years ago, then this might not have happened to her.. He will just have to deal with that thought, for the rest of his life.

I walk past the open room as I hear the one voice I didn't want to hear besides Justin's of course. "Sandy!" I roll my eyes but I promised Zachary I wouldn't say anything to her and I'm a person of my word. So I just put a big fake smile on as I turn around.

"Hey Cassie whats up?" I ask her as I turn around and keep heading over to the kitchen. "I just haven't seen you all night and didn't know what happened to you or your mate." she says so casually but I think she wants to know what I know and what he has been doing since he left the office where she was caught being a cheater.. I casually go to the cabinet grabbing a glass out as I quickly turn around on my heels.

"Well Zach got back to the room and we have been having some invigorating fun all night.. 5 times actually.. we are trying to make those pups." I state winking at her with a bigger grin on my face than before, when I was thinking about that amazing thought.. I walk to the fridge, getting ice into my glass.

"You haven't talked, just f*#ked?.. is that all you two ever do?" She asks me as I get a curious look on my face.

"Well we do talk often just haven't tonight.. we were distracted having so much fun.. but why does it matter what we were doing? You never cared before?" I ask her as she shrugs her shoulders saying, "You're just my friend and I wanted to know what's going on in your life.. that's all."

I nod at her not believing a word she says so I ask, "Ok, then in that case, what were you doing today? Because I'm interested in your life as well." I ask her trying to see if I can catch her in a lie.. She is dumb, but I don't know if she is dumb enough for that.

"Well.. um.. I was just talking with the Alpha earlier and Zach walked in.. I didn't know what all he heard." She says to me as I shrug my shoulders at her nonchalantly.

"Who knows.. so what could you have possibily had to say to the Alpha?" I ask her as I fill up my glass with water. "Oh umm.... I had to talk to him about some issues around the pack house.. mostly with the little b*tch.. you know, your pet.. Where is she anyways? She hasn't been taking care of anything and I need to tell her how much she is slacking right now." she states looking around.

"The Alpha sold her." I say plainly to her as I watch her mouth drop open in shock. "Wow, he actually did that for me?!" She bounces on her toes and clapping in excitement.

"Who did what for you?" I ask her now suspicious of what she is talking about since she plainly said that comment out loud. "Oh well I had some issues with your pet and I asked the Alpha to take care of it and I guess he did by getting rid of her.. I'll have to thank him for helping me out!" She says prancing away from me. But before she can get too far I grab her by her arm and spinning her around to face me. "You got her sent away! That's why this happened so randomly?!" I ask her as she vigorously nods her head, feeling so proud of herself for doing this.

"That's awful Cassie!" I say to her as she shrugs her shoulders at me. "It doesn't matter if it's awful or not, because it's done and over with." She says turning around to see her boyfriend Jacob standing there. "What did you do Cassie?"

"I talked with the Alpha and got him to get rid of Evelyn for me." She admits to him nervously as I watch his eyebrows scrunch together. "How did you convince my father to get rid of our only person who cleans and cooks?" He asks suspiciously as I smirk over at them.

"Yea how could you have possibily convinced him?" I spat at her as well, just joining in. I can see her eyes panning back and forth between us as she says, "what? it's not like it's any secret how much he hated her.. it didn't take much convincing at all.. but she is gone so we should just celebrate that."

"I'm not celebrating anything.. goodnight." I say to her as I quickly walk past her hating this.. now I know why all this has happened at least so suddenly... I just wish there was someway I could get her caught or make her confess.. but she quickly got out of that corner.. dammit. Maybe something else will pan out in our favor.
