Escaping Alpha Riggs

We all hear the car wheels crunching with great ferocity over the gravel in front of our house. We all freeze in fear as our hearts beat so fast. Our pupils circle each other's eyes as we all know who is in this car and why he is here. This is what we were all so afraid of. . . "Oh Kimberly," he says in his husky voice as he pushes open the front door and kicks it all the way in, letting the sun shine in. "I am here to take you home so you can finally live like the queen you deserve," he says in a singsong voice. . . He's tall, with thick biceps and hair as dark as the glasses he's about to remove from his eyes. In his hand he holds a red rose and a box of chocolates. He struts toward me with the rose in his right hand and the chocolate in his left, as if he really wants to give it to me, but no sooner is he an arm's length away from me than he throws the box of chocolates over his shoulder and puts his hands around my neck. He pushes me away from where I was standing behind my birthday cake on the center table and pulls me against the wall. His fingers stay wrapped around my neck, and with his animal strength, he pushes me until my back hits the wall. I gasp as my heart pounds behind my sternum while he strokes my right cheek with the tip of the red rose in his right hand. . . My parents are sobbing because there is simply nothing they can do. They were both too weak and unable to challenge the man who just kicked down their door. "Let go of my daughter!" father shouts as he shifts, his claws lengthening, his facial muscles contracting, his fangs protruding, thick fur sprouting across his cheeks and his eyes glowing blue. He charges toward the young man who has his hands wrapped around my neck to try to stop him from taking me. . . While his hand is still wrapped around my neck, he shifts as well. His eyes are not like father's, they are glowing red, and he is growling and letting streams of saliva run from his mouth. The sound of his growl humiliates Father and makes him fall to his knees and tremble in fear. Father is an omega, and when an alpha growls or howls, the omega has no choice but to fall into fear and submission. Not only Father, but also Mother hides her face so as not to see the anger of the alpha. There is no one who can save me from him, he is the Alpha, we have no power to challenge him. Not even the betas can challenge him. "How dare you growl at your alpha? For my bride, I will spare you!" He shouts at my father. "This is your place, kneel before me!" He yells and father shakes again in fear. He turns away from my father, knowing he will not dare attack him again, and he drops his eyes to mine as he changes back into his human form. The smile on his face would never suggest that he is capable of doing terrible things. "It's time, the car is ready to take us home. Here, I got this for you, you like roses, don't you, you should, it's a girl thing, is it not?" He strokes my shoulder again with the rose, then tucks the stem into my hair and lets his brown eyes sink deep into mine. You are my wife now, my queen, you belong to me forever, you should get used to being around me now that we are officially married," he says to me as he strokes my shoulder with the same finger, his left hand still wrapped around my neck. "Please, do not ..." I groan out breathlessly. I do not want him to get any closer to me than he is now. My heart beats faster and faster until I feel like it's going to burst out of my chest. He comes closer, closer than I thought, and I scream. . . I slam my eyes open and jolt my upper back up out of my tiny, yet comfortable bed. I'm hot from the nightmare. Not just any nightmare, but the nightmare. This one is the worst of them all. They come in different scenes, but they always involved the ruthless Alpha Riggs trying to force himself on me and take me as his bride against my parents' wishes. No girl in her right mind would want to be a bride to an alpha like Riggs. This has been my life since I crossed the first day of this month, and now that I know it's only a week until my 20th birthday, I know it can be anything but good. I have had this dream every single day since the first day of this month. Today is June 13, and in the next 7 days I will turn 20 years old... He became an immortal of sorts after making a deal with the Moon Priestess about 300 years ago, and became the founder of our pack, but he looks like someone in his mid-twenties. I have heard that he was 25 years old when he made the covenant with the Moon Priestess, and he was caught up in his youthfulness, even though the years continued to count for him. . . With so much power, Riggs has managed to make quite an impression. No one wants to mess with him. He is brutal, even to a kiss-ass who is just trying to please him, and even more so to someone who tries to stand up to him. He is merciless and does not forgive mistakes. Even the alphas of the packs outside our pack try as much as possible to stay out of Rigg's way. He is a monster in human form, we all are, considering we all are werewolves, but even after the bite that turned us and those born werewolves, like my parents and I, we still have a heart. Riggs is the most brutal of all the werewolves I have seen, not only in my pack, but everywhere else, and he is feared by all, whether they are part of our pack or not. This is how my life has been since my parents engaged me to this monster named Riggs. My parents were somehow in his debt because he saved my mother from a rival pack's attack on us when she was just a few months pregnant with me. He made a request as an Alpha, a request that my parents could never really refuse, because an Alpha's request can never be refused. If you decide to refuse such requests, you must be prepared to pay with your life and face the death penalty. They could not do anything because they were all just omegas, and I would not have a life if he had not saved my mother that day, that's probably the only good thing he ever did for a pack member, and there was a price for that: me.
