942 Words
A long time ago, before anybody can remember, all the races lived without a problem mixed within, humans, vampires, witches, werewolves, and elves. There were different languages, but all shared one in common from traveling and to have more harmony in sharing living space. There were different continents, traveling was hard, it still is, there are only boats and carriages.  It was said vampires could roam freely during daylight and not get burned, they lived high in the mountains mostly; they were tall, slim creatures with long limbs, mostly had black hair and dark brown eyes. They fed on big animals, that the humans provided.  Witches, lived in snowy plains, they could all control all elements from birth, their complexion matched the white snow, they had blonde hair or light brown, and they would have blue, hazel, or green eyes. They were known as the wise ones, and people all over the globe would come to meet them.  Werewolves lived outside of forests, and big cities, always traveling and in packs. They usually were big-bodied and tall, the opposite of the vampires. They would turn to humans as pleased, but they always chose to be in their wolf form. Normal wolves would follow them, and they would be at least half a size bigger than them. Elves rather live in swamps and musky areas, they were the ones with nature, most worked as herbalists, and if they practiced long enough, they would be druids, and change to swamp animals at will. They had slight a green tint to them, also tall and slim like vampires. Their hair was white or lilac, almost glowing. with dark eyes.  Lastly, humans lived in cities and small towns all over the world. They were medium built and had all types of skin, hair, and eye color. Some were nomads, and some stayed fixed.  They all lived happily until, the dark night.  First the fire, there was huge lighting, a flash and then smoke in Capital city in the north. The humans' capital city. Everybody closest to the Capitol didn't hear or see anything before they died. Any living thing near the first quarter of the city lost its life within seconds. Next, in the second quarter of the city, plants started to grow and suffocate the homeowners. Some lucky ones got to escape from the loud noise from the lighting. After, the third outer quarter, vampires killed the most they could, running people and people in their homes. Lastly, the ones that got to of the city, their fates were met by the wolves.  It was later learned that the same type of m******e was done in each capital city. After these incidents, it was decided to have a council with 10 people who would maintain peace within the races. These people were chosen by the races to represent them. The vampires chose their king, Decebal; the witches the wise Brenna; the elves Aithlin; the humans Eeverlee; and the werewolves Kolson. They made an offering and a sacrifice to never leave the mountain they live at, and in return, they never age and maintain peace and balance. They also course all the races involved, after it came to light that some rogue Vampires, Witches, Werewolves, and Elves were guilty of the dark night, they terminated them and coursed each race. Vampires, with unmatched strength, could only go out at night, not be seen in the sun again. They turned pale from the lack of sunlight, they went through hunger from lack of animals, until they could start having their own farms. Werewolves were to lose the ability to be wolves all the time, they had to control the shapeshifting, and drained their energy to change.  Witches, on the other hand, kept their powers, but now, what element they could work with was limited to one, maybe two if they went through the right training. Until now, they were born with the power, but from this night forward, they had to learn to use it and experiment with it. Elves, similar to witches had to practice and earn the right to be a druid. Schools were made for each animal and element. They also decided that only a few could talk to them, creating the sub-council, this group was formed by 10 to 24 people. Each race had to present at least 1 elder, and 1 apprentice from each kingdom for meetings every 10 years, in which all of them had to attend, and if they didn't they would lose their right in the sub-council. The last meeting was only 3 years ago, where the vampires had lost their spot at the council because they didn't make it time,  Augustinus and his mother Adela, were replaced by Dorin and Grigore, Augustinus' father and brother respectively.  So now, that the council had an eagle from the witches to the east with a letter saying that there was trouble, and the werewolves were killing witches came to a surprise. They talked a few years ago and everything was fine, the werewolves were making progress with their young ones, they couldn't understand how Bruneau was letting this get out of hand. Little did they know that Bruneau was held hostage in the castle dungeon, which before was used to store food, by Augustus, who was angry he lost his place in the sub-council. All five of them looked at each other worriedly and send out their eagles to let the others know there was trouble, and an emergency meeting was to be held, 20 days from now, which was the fastest all of them could travel to the lone mountain.
