Jax's POV I hit the floor hard when Luciano's men dragged me outside. Their boots slammed into my ribs in turns, one after another, until my breath came out ragged. I tasted blood in my mouth, but kept silent, refusing to let out a sound. They yanked me up by my arms and shoved me forward into the open yard behind the building. My knees scraped the gravel.
