Nova’s POV
Helpless, I sat on the floor. The hours went by and then the door burst open. Jordan walked out, taking off his mask and the faint smell of bitter gas flooded the air.
It wasn't harsh, more diluted than the first time it had been noticed. Jordan's angry eyes shone and the other doctors walked out. “Get yourself treated.”
They bowed and left then he pushed his hand forward. The first doctor fell to the floor, grumbling. I hadn't even noticed Jordan holding him until now.
“You…” Jordan growled. “You drugged him.”
The doctor scrambled to his feet and Jordan moved fast, wrapping his hand around his neck, then yanked the man out of the hallway's view. He dragged him backward, pining him on the wall. The light beeping to the effect.
