Adrian POV One week had passed since I woke up from the coma and I was in a rehabilitation facility now learning how to walk again, and it was the most brutal thing I'd ever experienced in my life. My muscles had atrophied after eight months of lying completely still in that hospital bed and they couldn't support my weight anymore, and every single attempt to stand felt like my legs were made of nothing but air. "Come on Adrian, you can do this," my physical therapist David said. "Just ten steps from the parallel bars to the chair." I gripped the bars with both hands and tried to pull myself up and my arms shook so badly I thought I might collapse, and when I finally got my feet under me my knees immediately buckled. "I've got you," David said catching me before I fell. "Try again."
