Chapter Eight

Every girl waits for her prince charming to come riding a white horse and ask your father for marriage.

Every girl waits for the love of her life and we meet them at some point of life somewhere special . But I met my prince charming or the love of my life in grocery store first and then in my favorite local bar .

And the most precious moment in a girl's life is the moment where the love of her life proposes his love to her .

At this time in my life , in a hospital am living that moment .

I was speechless . In my mind I was squealing like a fangirl .

Ed was kneeling in front of me with that most beautiful ring in his hand and looking at me with hope filled eyes .

Standing up from the bed , I leaned down and gave a peck in his cheek and nodded .

" Yes . " I said and he took my hand , inserted the ring and  stood up picking me up laughing .

All this time Lin was clicking pics as I could see the flash coming . But after he picked me up they closed the door and left .

Placing me down he cupped my face and leaned his forehead on mine .

" I love you . " he said pulling back .

" I love you too " I said as he leaned in , our faces only inches apart .

" You can stop me , if you want you're first kiss to be more romantic . " he said when he was just inches away .

" Why would I stop you . Now shut up and kiss me . " I said pulling him towards me by his collar . He soon closed the gap between us as he softly pressed his lips onto mine . I smiled under his lips and pressed harder .Moaning he pressed his lips harder and we stood their kissing but we slowly pulled back because of lack of breathe .

" Woah. That was ..." he said breathing hard .

" Amazing . " I said completing his sentence.

He chuckled and gave one more peck on my lips .

" I want to do everything I could do for you . I want you to be mine soon . You need a simple wedding or ? " he asked making me sit down and he sat beside me .

" I just need a simple wedding . You , me ,our close friends and your relatives . But I want you to make one more promise before  our wedding  .". I said and he nodded .

" What is it ? " he asked and I turned to face him .

" Promise me that you'll move on from me after my death . You'll never keep on mourning on my death . Promise me that you'll just remember me as a sweet memory and find someone to support you .." I said and he just stared at me .

My heart was pounding so fast that I thought it will burst out now . He should promise me soon or ill die now with a heart failure .

After a moment of silence he nodded .

" But .. I will never move on from you or accept someone else in my life. I will ...always remember you as a sweet memory . You are the best thing that ever happened to me . " he said and stood up giving me a peck on my lips and turned to go out. 

" I'll come in a few minutes . I just have to do some formalities before taking you home . " he said smiling and I smiled back .

I hope time will eventually make him move on .

" Slow down will you ? " I said walking as fast I could in my heels to catch up with my best friend who was walking fast as she could .

" Come fast Jen ! We have a lot to shop ." she said turning to look at me .

We were shopping for my wedding . She was my bridesmaid and Riley my Maid of honor . And about Ed ,Lucas and  Jordan who was his Aunt's son is his best men . We purchased the dress for Riley and Lin . And now we were roaming around the mall looking for bride's gown .

Everything felt like a dream for me . I was waiting to die a month ago and now am purchasing gown for my wedding.  Everything changes in just a snap of fingers . Now I wanted to live .

Suddenly my phone buzzed and I took it to see a message from Ed .

Ed: Miss you.  :*

J: That's so cliche . Ed .

Ed : I love you . Brought your wedding gown ?

J :  Nope . Looking for one . I love you . Your brought your tux ?

Ed : Yup. And waiting for my fiance to come back soon .

J : Shut up . Bye

I typed my reply and looked up to see Lin looking at me with her eyes narrowed and tapping her foot on the floor .

" Sorry . Am coming " I said putting my phone back and following her .

Soon we entered a wedding boutique and Lin began wandering off to look for my ' perfect gown ' as she said and I walked slowly looking at each dress . But nothing seem to catch my attention. 

But after a moment Lin appeared with a gown in her hand and thrusted towards me pushing me to the changing room .

I wore the dress and gasped at what I saw in the mirror .It clinged onto my body like it was my second skin , fitting at the right curves.  Hearing my gasp Lin called from other side. 

" Is it horrible ? " she asked and I stepped out to show her and her jaw dropped literally .

" Oh my god .. You ..you look stunning . " she said and I blushed .

Packing my gown we got out and messaged Ed to pick us up.

We were having our wedding next week , I mean after 4 days . It was already Friday so Ed and I were going to meet his aunt . 

That made me nervous. Thinking about the what ifs my palms became sweaty .

" Calm down Jen .. She is more excited to see you .. Just smile . " he said and squeezed my hand gently .

We're now driving to his aunt's house . Its a two hour ride from our town .

After a two hour journey we reached his aunt's house and he got out of his car , coming to my side he stood on my side watching me .

" Come on .. She'll love you . In fact she is the older version of you .. " he said and I chuckled removing my seat belt .

" That's like my girl . " he said patting my head. I rolled my eyes and got out .

He took my hand and walked towards the entrance door .

He rang the bell and smiled at me .

Soon after some shuffling the door opened wide and a lady in her late forties stood their smiling . On seeing her smiling face my nervousness decreased .

" Hey sweetie . Jennifer right ? Come in dear . " she said opening the door wide .

" Hello Mrs.Thomson . " I said and she waved her hand dismissing it .

" Call me Nancy . Now come in .." she said smiling .

" Am there too, you know.  " Ed said and she laughed .

" I didn't see you young man . Now get in you little rascal. " she said pulling him inside and I giggled when he rolled his eyes .

I felt all my nervousness disappearing in her warmth . Smiling I went behind them . His house was not that big but  an ordinary cozy house . I felt like am back at my home .

" Come on sweetie . " she said making me sit on the couch beside her and Ed sat on the couch opposite to us .  Giving me a wink he took his phone and went out leaving me with his aunt .

" He is a little rascal right ? I mean naughty . " she asked and I nodded my head smiling . From what I saw , she is the only one who can control him .

" I hope you're more naughty than him " she said winking at  at me and my eyes widened in shock . Now I know why he is naughty .

" Oh .. don't be embarrassed sweetie . You have to be a bit more naughty to keep him in your control . " she said smiling and stood up pulling me with her .

" Come I'll show you the house and his ...secrets " she said whispering the last part . I giggled and followed her .

As Ed told that she is the older version of me but that was complete nonsense . She was the female version of him .

Considering her as an old lady would be an understatement .

She was more active than Lin .

We had a small barbecue party at her back yard . She is just a crazy woman.

We had two more days left for our wedding and I was more than nervous.

Yes . Nervous .

Today Ed messaged me early morning to be ready by 9 and he wanted to take me somewhere .

He told me to dress up casually and I wonder where he was taking me .

I dressed up casually , I just wore my back skinny jeans , my baby pink sweater and tied my hair in high ponytail . Applying some light lip gloss , I wore my converse and as I came out of the house , Ed was pulling into my driveway .

Smiling I got inside his car . Turning to face him he gave peck on my lips and I blushed .

Ugh!

" So..where are you taking me ? " I asked quite fed up with his suspense.

" Surprise of our wedding . " he said taking a cloth and covering my eyes .

Taking a deep breathe I crossed my arms and sat inside the car sulking . He started the car and took me to god knows where. 

After some time he stopped the car and I heard him closing his door. Some minutes later he opened my door and pulled me outside removing the seat belt .

" Can I open this now ? " I whined and he chuckled .

" You don't have patience at all babe ." he said and I stuck out my tongue at him .

Wrapping his hands around my waist he started walking . And after some walking we came to a halt and he removed the cloth. I opened my to see a house .....my house .
