Chapter Two

206 Words
Those were the words of his father on the last night that Adere slept in the land of Zinu. He could not tell why his land was being hated by the other kings of the Kingdoms that were surrounding them. That night as they ran out of the land of Zinu, Adere held onto his mother to make sure that she stayed alive, if that was the only thing he was able to keep for his father whom he was not sure whether he was still alive or dead then so be it. He was determined to keep his mother alive and equally keep some of the villagers that ran away with him. He did not know what to do but as they crossed the river of Zinu which would see them to another strange land Adere realised that he was the only one that would see to it that the handful of people had survived with him got away safely. He saw that he was the only one capable enough to bring up ideas on how they could escape for good. There with him girls, children and old people. He knew that to save them he had to take up the responsibility of ensuring that.
