The Ancient Beast (Adere's Mission)

Chapter 22

"What do you mean by that" asked the diviner.

"What I means was that my daughter would prefer a priest attending to her instead and since you have chosen the path of the priest or makes all things easy. We are so much happy with your new work and we appreciate everything that you do. What we are now asking of you is to help us in making amends where there is amendment. Our daughter here, because to me she is now our daughter, is the one that you asked me to bring so that you can examine her and know the type of medicine to administer to her. She sees things and I told you that despite the fact that she sees things she has a way of trying to make things happen even when nothing is needed. What I have brought her for is for you to know what to do in order to free her from that curse. I can decide to provide that which is required fo you to do what needs to be done. I know how this sounds but my daughter needs your help"

The diviner looked directly into the eyes of the going lady and then nodded. He asked the gods some questions and then turned to look at her once again and this time he said to her,

"Are you sure you are ready to do this? Are you willing to sacrifice everything for this knowledge that is about to be opened to you? If yes are you also prepared to make things out of it?" as he asked this Mori nodded and then the diviner continued, "Let me then bring it to your knowledge of what happened to me in the past and why things would seem like it never was of anything. I might not be like this but in my heart all I want to do is to do what is right and not what is wrong. One of the gods that appeared to me appeared to me because they wanted me to know who you truly are and I am very much convinced that you are what he said that you are and I am willing to help you in becoming that which they crave you to become. You are nothing short of a vessel my daughter, yes, the is what you are, a vessel that can be used mightly by the gods and that is exactly what they are going to do because in you they have seen a heart that is pure and yielding and they want to take possession of that heart for what they intend to bring into this world. I hope that you are aware and concious of the gods and their operations?" Mori nodded once again and the diviner continued, "Very well then, they are out to seek you. They want you to become theirs. they are like a being looking for a moral body in which they will occupy and by which they will send out their messages faster. It means that you will become somehow more important than even the priests because the priests will be saying what they heard and when they do they might say it the way not exactly how they received it but in their own language but in your own case it is entirely different because you will not be saying what you heard but you will be saying what the gods are saying, the gods will not allow you to add yours because when they want to use you you become them and immediately you become them you do what they do and say what they say. My daughter you are going to become so important and that is something that not everyone is. This is more reason that despite the fact that you do not need training to understand this simple fact what you need is nothing more than just nurturing and making your heart lighter because when men and women of this world begin to know who you are you might be swallowed up by pride and when pride comes in your night forget who you are and those that make you who you are. This is more reason I have pleaded with your father to bring you here so that I can put you though all the things that you are required to know. Do you understand this that I have just told you or you would want me to make more things plainer to you?"

Mori looked at her father and thought that if she went on to insist that she was not going to stay back in the shrine of the diviner that would aggravate her father and so she nodded and said to the diviner,

"Very well then, I have heard all the things that you said and I know what is required of me and I am also willing to make sure that not only will I do what you have asked me to do but I will make sure that I do not disappoint either you or my father. I will do my best to learn my best. Thank you for recognizing what is inside me and I promise that as long as I am with you i will make things to work out the way that they are supposed to work out. Kindly do what is necessary and let the rest become history"

The father and the diviner having become elated with the response of Mori stepped out a bit to discuss amongst themselves.

"You can now see that my daughter is now ready to learn of who she is. You yourself promised me that you will do everything that you can just to make her get better. If this training is what it requires for her to be better then please do me this very favour by doing your best for her"

The diviner placed his right palm on his shoulder and said,

"I made a promise to you and I am going to keep that promise. You have nothing to be scared of when you have me with her. All you should do is to thank the gods who brought her to me and made it possible for her to accept to learn what she does not know. Go to your house and rest your head. Leave all this for me. When her training is over I will then call on you and you can come over to see how much she has progressed"

The father was happy with the whole thing and he was ready to allow things to flow up the way that they was supposed to flow..The reason behind the whole thing was the fact that there was no one who could stand against someone but was willing to do what needed to be done. The diviner went back to the shrine and Mori's father stepped out a bit to discuss again with her father before he would leave. They both held each other's hands and the father said to her,

"I will be leaving now and I know that you are going to be fine. I know it. You have always been a very strong girl and your strength I have always boasted about. You will pass through the whole test and come out victorious. What you will have to do for me now is to have me show you what it is exactly that you will always be expected to do here. You know that despite the fact that this is not a skill that you have come here to learn that aside you have come here to serve so that you will learn and to learn you only have one thing going on and that is obedience. You have to obey the diviner at all times. Do not make him angry unnecessarily and do not make him begin to regret why he took you in..What he is going to teach you will enable you to stand out amongst the rest, it will make you to have the gifts that others do not and so it is not a child's play. It is not something that you are required to take for granted instead you are required to take it at heart and flow with the teachings and Instructions of the diviner who will be responsible for your learning"

In the land of Agori, the king of Agori was begining to get restless over the poor response of the leader of his army whom he left to take care of the activities in the land of Zinu. His wife who first began to notice his restlessness right from the moment he received a letter in the morning walked up to him that evening while he stood outside the main building of the palace and standing before him she was forced to ask him, "

"Is my husband angry with me or with something else because I am not fathoming why you have been cold since morning. Please do not tell me that you are fine because even if I go blind I can always tell when you are happy and when you are sad. So I know that you are sad and I do not need someone to tell me that your are sad. So tell me my precious husband and tell me that while I am standing here; what is eating you up, is it something that I can be of help to you, tell me and watch me do all I can to help you with anything that is required"
