The Ancient Beast (Adere's Mission)

Chapter 40

One of the men standing there interupted him Immediately with, "And what if after you are done saying that our boss decides to have your head? Do you not know that this can be a trap to fish out those that are not in support of us. We are not going to allow the way you now speak as if our leader was not wise before now. You should be very much careful because this kind of thing can go a long way dividing us in this camp"

Aboro now realised that the best thing to do, the first thing to do was not just to tell them about his plans to restore what they had destroyed but to first make them to trust that all that was happening there at that moment was not to entrap them into anything. He said from where he stood, "I have said it and I am saying it again that this is not a trap. I am saying it again that I am in full support of what he is saying because my heart is fixed on making right all the things that I have made wrong. Please and please let us focus our minds on doing what needs to be done instead of thinking about irrelevant things"

At the end the soldiers realised that they needed just to believe in what the lady who was standing on the platform was telling them. They wanted to believe in her and also believe that Aboro had changed and wanted that same change to manifest where others were. When they had seen that he was done talking they then decided that it was time to have a meeting with them. They went to Aboro and spoke to him while he was seated alone and they found out that it was not actually what they had wanted to have as a person. They apologized for doubting him at the first instance but made him to understand that they were not to be blamed because they themselves did not understand what on Earth was happening to them. When Aboro had listened to all that they had to say he then said to them,

"I have heard what you all are saying and I am quite sure that despite the fact that you all are not in good terms with others there are things you are not going to accept as being the best thing to do. You all have followed me all these years and through your following me you have come to realise something and that was the fact that I was so brutal. Meanwhile somehow I got converted from what i used to be to something that I am now, I am quite sure that despite the fact that I am not in any way in to whatever it is that they are doing I am quite aware that it does not take anything for something great to manifest. Now what you all are seeing now is what is real; what is real is taking good care of your fellow man with love, true love in our hearts, being our brother's keepers and ensuring that despite the fact that alot of things have spoilt what has not and will never spoil is our ability to ensure steady love and compassion for ourselves. We are not sure if this is exactly what happened but we are aware that this is what has happened. Let us join our heads together and fight what fights all mankind"

After he was done one of them then sighed and said to Aboro.

"We understand you out lord; yes, we will always call you and refer to you as our lord because that is what you are truly. If I do not refer to you as our lord I see no one that we will be able to refer to as our lord. Meanwhile having said this it is not because we are not in good terms with one another but because we are now more good to go together. We are seeing you as our leader because that was what you were before now. You will continue to be our leader and nothing can change that fact. We really would like to know what war and what else you are referring to when you talk about the ones against humanity? When you talk about these things do you mean to talk about the king of Agori?"

Aboro shook his head and said to him, "That is not what I meant my dear, that is not what it is all about. Here in this camp we have female soldiers do we not? Ofcouse we do and most times women soldiers do not go to war because they fear that when they are captured what is done to them is always so serious compared to what is done to some other people. We are not going to go to war unless we are certain that it is time for things to work out the way that they are supposed to work out. Let me now tell you all this; I have never for once looked out of the window and seen something that I had never seen in the past. Holding my hands together I have always seen and felt what it is like to beg, to beg for something and for someone. I would not want that to be our portion or the portion of any of you. What I have just said now is that I have grown to develop so much love for you all based on this simple experience and transformation that I had not long ago. When you all talk about the threat that I speak of I am not speaking about the king of Agori, the king who made it possible to lay this land of Zinu to waste but I speak of the ancient beast of Abah kingdom, I speak of the watchers and the other kings that have become so evil. You will get to understand this letter. Now while I am saying this we must also know that sooner than later the king of Agori might reach this place at any given time and we know that when he comes here he will be coming here for one thing and we all know what that thing is. I am not saying that we are going to be against our king; that you all deciding to follow me is a means to now go against the one that has all the kingship power and position. He is still the king of Agori and following me does not make him your enemy instead we should find a way to make him to understand what you have understood. If we succeed in making sure and securing him to understand and role with us it will be easier for us to make the Abah land and the king of Abah to understand that what he sees as a big problem in his land can actually be dealt with and there will be total freedom in his land. Why am I saying this? Why I am saying it is because there are atimes when it would seem like there is nothing else anyone can do about it but if we keep on doing what does not need to be done not even anyone born beyond it can attest to it. Let us wait for him to arrive and having seen that I did not reply his letter as soon as I received his it will make him to come crashing on me with all his might. If he does that we need to know that that has nothing to do with it, we need to understand that there is nothing else anyone can do about it and then focus our minds on the very thing that matters the most. What I am saying is that the king of Agori might descend on us heavily and refuse to listen to whatever it is that we have to say to him but then when this happens there is something which I expect you all to be sure of and that very thing is not always as it seems. Now that this has been heard from me should I get a response from you to convince me that you all have understood me?"

One of the soldiers shook his head and then said to Aboro, "This whole thing to me does not really make any sense, infact we all know who the king of Agori is and what he will do if he finds out that we are begging him. Aboro have you forgotten who our king is and what he is capable of doing? There is no way we can decide to do something if we are not sure of what we are desiring to do. We are not sure if that is what we want or if we have something else coming which is why I am pleading for us to join our hands together and face what is facing us instead of looking on. If we fight him he will be get the chance to attack our families back in the land of Agori or have you forgotten that our families are there? Yes, our families, that is our wives, our children and our relatives are there in the land of Agori. If the king of Agori realised that we have decided to stay away from his plans and not be part of his decisions he will then begin to make life difficult for all of us by going after our families. What this means and what I am suggesting is that we do not beg, yes, we do not have to beg, we instead have to fight our way to knowing what needs to be known and doing what needs to be done"

When this soldier said this Aboro knew that he still had a lot of things to educate them on and that one of the things he was going to educate them on was making them to understand that there are things that are not okay handled with actions but with words. I am not going to allow the very reason that brought me to this point of my regret to surface again. I am no longer going to allow that to be my portion and this is why I am saying to all of you that it is better for me to have what it takes to make amends for myself. We stand our ground and not shiver but we are not going to fight the king of Agori. Do you all not know that violence does not bring freedom? Do you all not know that most times it is not about who wants to make something happen but about who is qualified to make something happen. I have decided to lead by example, to lead us to the point of enjoying and knowing what real peace is. We can not continue to spread lies, hatred, envy and jealousy amongst ourselves the way that we are doing now. We instead must focus our minds towards the major thing that is at stake. Our king, when he must have arrived only needs to be educated just as the gods have educated me. He only needs to understand why we have decided that instead of sacking the whole city of Zinu and thereby killing every living thing in it we can actually choose to make sure that we do what we are supposed to do by telling him that we have decided to find love with the remaining people of Zinu and not to find hatred. He will understand us and he will join us and together we will have one common enemy and that is the enemy that is residing in the land of Abah; that is the enemy, the king of Abah land and that of the ancient beast"
