The car pulled up in front the le Grande Boucherie a few minutes later, the door was shielded by photographers and reporters waiting to scream out their questions Christian waited until Cooper, his body guard, opened the door and created a path through the cameras and microphones, shifting people out of the way like they were grass, he got Christian in the restaurant successfully and a waitress took Christians coat and he went upstairs to the table where his father sat having his steak. Nickolas green was a very proud man, since he was young he always had a keen eye for opportunity, he built his wealth ever since then by creating his opportunity and making them count believing in his luck, as a first son in the family business Nickolas used his luck and turned the family’s multimillion dollar company into a billion dollar empire, as the first billionaire in a family business Nickolas had set his standards high. Christian took a glass of whiskey as from the tray at the entrance and sat opposite his father.

‘’ hello father, enjoying your lunch?’’ Christian said.

‘’ yes I am indeed, how are you today? ’Nickolas replied

‘’ Well. Just came from the Manhattan post, they wanted to know the future of Green Global ’’

‘’I’m sure they all do, I think about it to’’

‘’don’t worry about it father as long as you’re here the company will be fine’’

‘’ well what if I’m not, can I trust you to keep it at the top, you can’t even keep a woman for twenty-four hours’’

Nickolas pushes a picture of Christian kissing one of his girlfriends on a hotel balcony, he had introduced another woman with a different shade of hair at an event just last week.

‘’ I need you to be more responsible Christian, this company will not go to the hand of someone that sleeps around.’’ Nickolas said

Christian took a sip out of his glass.’’ I will father but please tell me which one to bring since everyone I bring to you is either too tall, or too loud or not smart enough, no one is perfect for you ’’

‘’ it’s not me they have to be perfect for it’s the family name. And I’ll not let my son marry someone without character, you bring children and expect blessing?’’

‘’ okay then thank God your still here so I still have some time.’’

Christian gets up from his seat and buttons his suite. ‘’ I will see you at the meeting tonight. Good day father’’

‘’ I am serious Christian your running out of time’’ Nicolas said before putting a piece of meat in his mouth. Christian walks out and returns down stairs where cooper was waiting, he receives his coat from the waitress and they both make their way to the car. Garry drives them to the company building. A tall glass windowed skyscraper with a green capital ‘G’.

Christian takes the elevator to the second floor, he had Caleb, his secretary waiting by the door. As he walks to his office Caleb follows behind giving him a brief of the activities left in his day, Christian ignores all and waited for the news of the reporter, he when into his office and sat behind his chair he was sending a message to his girlfriend, Gina, informing her that the relationship had ended. He turned off his phone and placed it in a drawer, picked up another phone that laid on the left corner of his desk and turned it on, that’s when Michael, walks through the door. ‘’ hey Chris how did it go?’’

He asked. Michael was the son of one of one of the shareholders he grew up with Christian and knew most things about him.

‘’ it was tense, the reporter who interviewed was difficult’’ Christian replied

‘’ smart you mean, but not that, I meant with your dad’’

‘’ well you know the usual’’

‘’ he wants you to get married right?’’

‘’ the faster the better’’

‘’Well you’re not getting any younger, why don’t you just tie the knot?’

‘’ I will but with who mike, no one is good enough for him, today he said he wants a woman with character, I guess I’ll take a clown the next time we meet, ‘’

‘’ how did you do it’’

‘’ I married someone across the continent, gave her a house and a kid so she knows I’ll come back’’

Christian tilted his head and squeezed his eyebrow.

‘’ I don’t know I fell in love with someone who trust me and I trust and I think that’s your problem, you don’t trust women’’ Michael said

‘’ I trust my mom, she is a woman’’

‘’ anyone asides your mom?’’

‘’ your sister’’

‘’ yeah you need to stop saying I have a sister’’

‘’ you almost had my wife thinking I did’’

Caleb walks in with some documents for Christian to sign and as he walked out he remembered ‘’ oh and the reporter from this afternoons name is Mary Reynold’’ he looked back and said.

‘’ thank you Caleb’’ Christian told him. Michael looks at him and gives a sinister smile.

‘’let me guess you’ve already switched phones right?’’

‘’ don’t you have something else to do?’’

‘’ yes I actually do have a meeting in ten minutes,’’ he stands up from the chair and walks to the door, but before leaving he asked he called Christian’s second number and it rings on the table, Christian looks at the screen and then back at Michael walking away.

Milly took the taxi to the children’s hospital she signed in at the door and went to her sons room, she looked through the small square glass on the door and found her Austin playing with his trains, she smiled and opened the door.’’ Mummy!’’ Austin yelled excited to see her he runs and gives her a hug. He holds her hand and pulls her into the room, taking her to the table where he had his colorings. Milly spent the rest of the afternoon and most part of the evening with Austin, she listened to the adventures he had to tell her and the amazing things he learned in the classroom. Milly loved listening to Austin, it just broke her heart that he got sick. Milly got home that night an switched on the television she poured a glass of wine watched her interview from the kitchen, she stood there staring at Christian, then a knock on the door distracted her, she goes to the door and opens it, at the other end Lisa stood with packs of Raman and a bottle of white wine, her funny personality was the reason Mllly enjoyed her company, Lisa danced herself into Milly’s small living room she put the leather bag of Raman on the kitchen counter and congratulated Mllly. ‘’ so what did you do with the with day off’’ Lisa asked

‘’ I went to see Austin, I spent the day with him ‘’

‘’ How is my little prince’’

‘’ he is fine he was really excited to see me today’’

‘’ oh before I forget, I knew you always forget to pick up our mail and you are always in a hurry in the morning so I did you a favor and brought it up for you.’’ Lisa told Mill and handed her a few envelopes and turned to make the Raman.

‘’ thank you’’ milly told her, she began looking through them and saw a letter from the children’s hospital, a bill for due payment of six hundred dollars expected by the end of the month, she sighed in exhaustion, Lisa looked back and asked if everything was alright.

‘’ sure, just have to keep my head above water for a while.’’ Milly replied. Lisa poured herself a glass of wine and the both went into the living room and sat on the couch, Lisa stood the bottle on the table and saw the interview playing on the screen, ‘’ with someone like him you wouldn’t have to’’ she whispered to herself.

‘’what’’ Milly asked

‘’ nothing, I was just saying how well you did today’’

‘’ that isn’t what you said, you liar’’

‘’ fine I as just saying how well the both of look together’’ Lisa said gesturing to the screen.

‘’what? Me and Christian’’

‘’ yeah’’

‘’ oh no we could never work’’

‘’ why not’’

‘’ uhm have you read about him lately, he has a different woman every week I’m not going to be one of them’’

‘’ I’m sure you were all locked in to even notice today but both of you had chemistry’’

‘’ you can’t have chemistry with some you just met Lisa’’

‘’ really? Then why was he staring at you like that’’

‘’Like how’’

Milly looks at the screen and see’s Christina staring at her with smirk smile on his face while she was asking a question.

‘’ I’m sure he looks at everyone like that’’ she said. The kettle of boiling water began to whistle and Lisa got up to take it of the stove.

‘’ but honestly you were really good today I’m so proud of you’’ Lisa yelled from the kitchen.

Milly sat there staring at herself on the screen when Lisa brought the bowls of Raman, they sat and while they ate they decided to watch something else.
