CHAPTER FOUR

The following week Christian waited for the feedback from Michael’s PI, eventually Michael walks into his office and shuts the door behind him, he takes a seat and holds up a file.

‘’ you know I really thought she was going to be like a twenty year old blonde but red works to’’ Michael said to him.

‘’ red?’’ Christian asked, confused by the statement.

‘’ yea, Mary Reynold right from the post, remember the woman we investigated’’ Michael hands Christian the file and he opens it, he sees Marys pictures and squeezed his eyebrow’s, he shook his head as he reads her profile.

‘’ this isn’t her’’ Christian says.

‘’ what do you mean, that is the Mary Reynolds from the Manhattan post’’

‘’ but that’s not her, this isn’t the woman I sat across from for half an hour, do you really think I’ll go after that’’

‘’ Well good because I was starting to think you had lost your Mind ‘’

‘’ come with me’’ Christian says to Michael after getting up from his chair.

‘’ where are we going’’ Michael asked while following behind.

Christian tells Caleb to cancel his afternoon. They take the elevator down and Christian tells Garry to have the car waiting, they walk out of the building and stood for a few seconds waiting Garry, the car parks in front of them and they get in, Christian tells Garry to take them to the Manhattan post building. They parked on the opposite side of the street and stared at the building entrance. They sat there for almost an hour waiting for any sign of her but no one came out, Christian looks at his watch and tells Garry to take them down town.

‘’ down town, why?’’ Michael asked.

‘’ that’s where the children’s hospital is’’

Garry drives them to the hospital following Christian’s directions, they parked just far enough from the building and waited, Michael was getting tired of waiting and began to persuade Christian give up, that’s when Christian see’s Milly walk out.

‘’ there, that’s her’’ Christian says. Michael tilts his head to get a better look and sees a young, curvy, dark haired lady standing in front of the hospital.

‘’ whoa’’ Michael whispered under his breath as they watched her get into a taxi and drive away. Christian then gets out of the car. ‘’ what are you doing!’’ Michael yelled.

‘’ investigating’’ Christian replied. He goes into the hospital and says hello to the receptionist. She recognises him and stands up to greet him, he leans on the slab and says ‘’ hey… uh’ he reads her name tag, ‘Karen, I need a favour’’

‘’ how can I help Mr. Green.’’ Karen asked.

‘’ It’s a little problem I think you can help me with’’

‘’ okay’’

‘’ I might have said something the other night to a friend of mine, and she hasn’t returned any of my calls or text, I’m not sure you can recall the beautiful woman with dark hair that just left a few minutes ago’’

‘’ you mean Milly west’’

‘’… yes, yes Milly uh, could you maybe tell me what she was doing here?’’

‘’ I’m really sorry Mr. Green but I can’t give out any information about our clients ‘’

‘’ I understand… but I need your help here, I’m just trying make up for last week and it would mean so much to me if you could just maybe let me see her file’’

‘’ I’m sorry but I can’t do that, it’s against hospital policy ‘’

‘’ I know but if you help me with this I promise you Karen you won’t regret it, plus no one is going to find out, it would be our little secret’’

After much persuasion, Karen lets him have a look at her file in one of the check-up rooms for a few minutes, where he found the name of her son, her address, and he also noticed that Austin needed a better medical care. He closed the file and handed it back to Karen. He thanked her and also gave her his card, before walking out the hospital and goes back into his car.

‘’ so?’’ Michael asked.

‘’her name is Milly west and has a kid’’ Christian tells him. He tells Garry to take them back to the office.

They both walk out the elevator and go into Christian’s office.

‘’ well that was interesting, what are you thinking about’’

‘’her kid isn’t going to last much longer in that hospital do you think you can get him transferred to one of ours’’

‘’ wait how do you know her kid needs better medical’’

‘’ I read it in her kids hospital records’’

‘’I don’t think using her kid to get to her is the right move here’’

‘’ Michael he needs a better hospital or he is going to die, get the hospital to have an Austin west transferred to the Green medical centre’’

‘’ I’ll get to work on that, but I think you should talk to her about this first’’

‘’ Thank you ‘’ Christian told Michael before he left. He sat behind his desk and thought about he could tell her.

The next day Milly got into the office and saw a small black box on her desk, she sat and opened it and found a card with an address and a phone number at the back, she called the number and Caleb answered.

‘’Green Global you have Christian Green’s executive office how can I help you’’ Caleb said.

Milly hung up immediately and returned the card back into the box, she threw it into the trash and then turned on her computer and began to work, a few minutes later she received a message that said it was urgent and a requested to meet at the address on the card. Milly stared at the text and replied accepting the request, she retrieves the card from the box but left the box.

That afternoon Christian waited at bar the le Grande Boucherie he had a glass of whiskey while he waited,

‘’ may I take your coat Ms.’’ He heard the waitress say.

‘’ no don’t worry about it I’m not staying’’ milly tells her. Christian goes to her with a smile on his face. ‘’ so glad you could make it’’. He says to her.

‘’ I don’t much time Mr. Green so you have five minutes ‘’ Milly tells him.

‘’ I’ll try my best to be as quick as I can but please, sit with me first’’ he takes her upstairs to the VIP section where Christian had a table reserved for them.

They sat and the waiter poured wine into Milly glass.

‘’ I think I have an opportunity that would help the both of us’’ Christian says.
