Dinner

Mila could see the nerve popping out from the side of her mates face. She really wanted to blast her decision about joining the pack on his face because she wanted to see how he would react.
'Good. We are not joining that jerks pack.' Her wolf sided her.
"What are you talking about?" Zoey asked keeping her spoon aside.
"Well... Mila we will talk about it later. Not now. Not when guests are home." Ella said through gritted teeth.
Mila just shrugged and continued eating as if nothing happened. She could feel her mates eyes on her, it took all her willpower not to raise her head and look at him.
'You better tell me everything' Zoey mind linked immediately narrowing her eyes at her sibling.
Mila just nodded at her sister.
"Oh... Splash would you take some more Lasagna." Ella asked breaking the thick silence.
"Yea... Thank you. Mrs.Jones"
"Oho... Cut all the formalities, call me Ella."
"So what are you studying ?" Andrew asked as soon as Ella passed the lasagna.
"I am majoring in literature," Splash said giving a warm smile. And Zoey.... she had this goofy smile on face all the time.
'Stop drooling and close your mouth' Mila mind linked her, Zoey immediately shut her mouth. Mila chuckled.
"Well... Hayden continue with the story... You were telling." Ella said sipping wine from her glass.
"Oh... Yea... We met at one of her performances in Springton. And then you know the story" he said winking at her.
"So... You both are mated?!" She asked bluntly.
"Mom"
"Mom"
"Ella"
Both the sisters and Andrew shrieked simultaneously while Jessica blushed and Hayden coughed.
"What?!" She snapped but when she saw very uncomfortable Hayden she laughed "oh... I was just joking don't answer that."

Josh was counting numbers, his wolf was pushing him to show Mila who is the alpha. How could she not join the pack? She is his mate! The human part of him that is the rational part right now was in control and he was thankful for that.
His mate looked determined when she said that she would not join the pack. But he exactly knew how to change it.
They were all sitting in the living room while Ella and Andrew were talking to Splash which was looking more like they were interrogating him.
"If you would excuse me... I have some work to do." Josh excused himself.
"Oho... Sure. Sorry for keeping you this long Alpha. I am sure you must be a very busy man and your mate must have been waiting." Ella said in her usual enthusiastic tone.
"Mom" Mila snapped giving Ella immediately.
Everyone starred at Mila. While Mila just huffed and said 'never mind' and walked out of the house.
"Why is she so pissed ?" Zoey asked breaking the silence.
Hayden, Jessica, and the brothers were trying to give whatever privacy they could.
"Maybe she doesn't like the place," Andrew suggested.
"No... That's not the case. She really liked it. Actually, she was the one who talked me into coming here. While I was planning to chicken out." Zoey said.
Splash was not happy with the answer but he didn't blame Zoey because he knew it was difficult, Difficult to pack your stuff and move in the middle of the year. But he was also glad they moved it, well for obvious reasons.
"Well... I will go after her" Hayden volunteered.
"Auh... Actually, I have to go in the same way... I would talk to her and my fighters are doing rounds over the perimeter too. So, I could easily locate her" Josh explained, it probably felt like crap to his own ears but all he wanted to do talk to his mate alone.
He didn't wait any longer for anyone to protest exactly. The sweet orange smell of his mate was still lingering there. He took the lead and followed her.

Mila was not even sure why she was so grumpy... No, The exact word would be edgy. She was actually the calmest person, well mostly.
She didn't even know where she was going. She found a small lake like 20 minutes later. The water was cold and the night was calm. She at that moment felt she belonged there, belonged to Bluedale. Of course, you belong here, this is our mate's pack. Her wolf opinioned. 'Yea... The same mate who freaking has some other woman by his side.' Mila sighed.
This was tiresome. She was actually feeling rejected, she was feeling as if someone knocked off what is hers, it was like someone is stealing what...... WAIT! Where the hell is thinking to go?' She thought.
She could suddenly hear the sound of crushed leaves."Anyone out there?"
"For a wolf, you sure are not that sharp" Josh's voice came out as calm as the night surrounding them.
mate... her wolf was jumping.
"For a wolf, you are too sneaky," Mila said, more like complimented. Her cheeks burned as soon as the words came out.
Josh chuckled a little and settled beside Mila.
"You are pissed?" He asked still not facing her. Mila just gave a humorless chuckle.
"what makes you say that?" she asked her tone void of any emotions.
"You walked out?! does that count?" he asked.
" And last time I checked I still did what I want to." she snapped.
"True."
Both were silent for few seconds. Mila never thought her first words exchanged with her mate would be like this. Mila, to be frank, was heartbroken. Her mate couldn't... just couldn't wait for her and on the other hand she had been a complete i***t waiting for him. A single tear was threatening to fall and Mila for sure didn't want her mate to witness this.
Josh wanted to tell her everything .... how what happened but just then Splash mind linked him "Dani fainted!!! we are at the hospital.. come fast."
" what? how? when?"
"just come"
Mila saw her mates alarmed look and placed her hand on his tense shoulder " Is everything all right?" she immediately regretted the move because the tingles that spread across her hand to the spine did things in her stomach.
" Dani... she fainted... " Josh said before shifting into his black wolf. It was magnificent. Mila had this urge to run her hand through the thick black hair but she held it back.
Josh's wolf wanted to be with his mate but he was also worried about Dani, SO he thought to check on Dani first. little did he know that after that his life would change.

Josh reached the hospital in precisely in 5.6 minutes. Splash, Dani's parents Kate and Max, his father Peter stood in front of the examination room.
" what happened?" he asked no one in particular.
"She came to see you... I was coming back home. we were having a little talk and suddenly she fainted. the first thing I did was call you, then called Ella. she is running some tests on her."
As a cue, Ella walked out of the room.
"what happened?" Josh asked.
" well... As I was told she fainted... so I ran a few tests to see what's wrong with her and that includes a pregnancy test."
"Wait!! what? PREGNANT?" Josh shrieked.
"Yup.... and congratulations!! she is Pregnant!" Ella exclaimed.
kate squealed like a little girl. max, peter beamed with joy.
" Congratulations Josh" Peter hugged his son.
" Congratulations Bro!" splash patted his brothers back.
" can we see her?" Kate asked.
" oho... definitely!!" Ella said.
Josh stood shell shocked... Pregnancy?! baby?!
