'She is beautiful... Damn beautiful....' Her dark brown hair was falling on her eyes and her manicured hand was trying to brush them off her eyes. Josh's wolf was literally jumping Mate.

'The sharp stare she was giving him' made his wolf cringe.

"Splash is so smitten by his mate" Dani mind linked Josh while they were gone on the tour to the pack boundaries. He could imagine Her smiling at him.

Josh was in a dilemma Mate?! Or Choice Mate?! Definitely Mate..! His wolf said. But Dani?! She is his best Friend ever since he helped her climb the castle in the sandbox when they were 3. But now things are more complicated he can't just leave Dani's side after what happened. 'She needs me now.' Josh thought.

"Let's go into the office and talk," Peter said after the guests have finished their cup of tea.

"It's complicated... Peter. We need to run the test study the results and only then... I could tell something." Ella said entwining her fingers with her mate's who was sitting beside her on the couch in the Alpha's office. While Josh occupied his chair behind the desk checking through the information trackers brought him about Jones.

"I know..... Ella, it would take time. But you can't be rouge staying in our territory."

A growl from Andrew. "What are you suggesting?"

This got Josh's attention, now one I mean no one would even dare to talk to his Dad like that. "He is suggesting that it's better you join the pack." He said through gritted teeth.

"No." Andrew snapped immediately and stood. Ella was trying to calm him down "An..." She started but was cut by the glare he sent her.

"This is not a good idea." He said softening a bit when his eyes landed on his mate.

"I want this...." was all she said before tears rolled down her cheeks. "This is my home..."

Home?! Josh thought.

"Ella... I would do anything for you and you know that. But girls?" Andrew mind linked his mate.

"Zoey found her mate... I am sure given time she would definitely want to be a part of the pack. So..." Ella mumbled back in the link.

"What about Mila?!"

"Mila... She would come around." Ella said with hope.

"You think so... That girl is more stubborn than her mother."

Peter cleared his throat bringing the couple out of their conversation.

"We have to discuss this with girls... Zoey would be okay......now that she found Splash. But Mila..... We have to talk to her." Andrew said as his eyes found Josh.

Josh was carefully studying the couple. He was taken back totally by surprise when Ella walked towards him and placed her hand on his Cheek. "He...."

Josh tensed immediately.

" Alpha... Someone named Hayden is asking for entry." His guard from border informed.

"Do you know anyone named Hayden?" Josh asked.

"Hayden... Yes, he is one of my fellow researcher and a doctor."

"So... I guess you, your daughter and this Hayden guy would give us a solution," Josh asked after giving permission to let Hayden enter.

"Yes..... But Only Hayden and I are going deep into the research. Mila is just additional one, she would work mostly as Pack doctor." Ella briefed.

"There goes... Pack doctor?! Without even being in the pack.?" Josh asked.

Josh wanted his mate to join his pack, he would soon sort out the problem in hand with Dani and explain everything to his mate.

"We would talk to her Alpha," Andrew said.

"Hayden is here," Peter said and as soon as they came out from the office screeching sound of tires are heard.

Hayden was a tall, blonde guy with blue eyes. His hair was all over his eyes.

"Hayden... Welcome boy!!" Andrew welcomed the boy with admiration in his eyes.

Josh raised an eyebrow at Andrew He wasn't this hostile towards me!! he thought grumpily. But he knew better to keep that to himself. He was an Alpha and an Alpha doesn't show his true emotion. His words.

He was not interested in this guy and how he is? What it is? All he wanted is to solve what's been happening.

And as soon as his mates i.e.., Mila's eyes landed on Hayden... They were glassy. Josh wanted to comfort his mate even though he doesn't know why she is crying.

Even before Hayden uttered a word, Mila came running into his arms. The growl that was about to come from him couldn't have been controlled if not for Dani who interlaced her fingers with his. This served a momentary distraction.

A growl behind Hayden finally made Mila pull away. It came from a short girl, her hair side braided and dark eyes focused on Mila and Hayden.

"Jessica..." Hayden raised an eyebrow as a warning.

"She was hugging you for a long time..." The short girl mumbled, if not for the wolf senses no one could have heard.

"Is she your mate...?" Ella questioned narrowing her eyes at the girl.

Everyone in the clearing was seeing the couple... Josh for a second was happy thinking of the possibility of this Hayden guy having a mate.

"She is...!" Hayden confirmed.

There were a series of congratulations thrown their way. But Josh didn't miss the look Mila exchanged with Hayden.

His wolf was pacing inside him and pushing him to go to his mate. Josh pushed his wolf in the corner and returned to his office to go through some files and probably away from his mate as well as choice mate to think rationally.

Mila quietly made her way towards the house which Splash pointed out as for them.

She chose a room on the corner of the hall... The room was actually isolated from all the rooms.

Her mate, the alpha ordered some guys from the pack to help them unload the boxes from the truck.

However, a look from Mila and they didn't dare to touch her boxes.

Mila was independent women, very independent women, sometimes it plays good for her but sometimes it just backfires like how she had to carry all her boxes to her room.

Mila was lying down on the mattress... When someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," Mila said trying to sit up.

"Hey..." Hayden said making his way inside her room.

"Hey..." Mila replied she tried very hard to keep her voice steady.

"Come on Mila ..... Don't be like that we met after nearly three years." Hayden said catching her mood immediately.

"We sure did," Mila said her tone anything but hostile.

"Mil..." Hayden called out turning her towards him.

"When did you find your mate?"

"Is this about Jessica?"

"No.. This isn't about Jessica. This is about me... And how you cut me off your life."

"Mila... If I remember correctly... I was not the one who cut you off my life... It was You... You yourself did that. After what happened to..."

"Don't" Mila raised her voice, " I thought we were past that and were friends... And you didn't bother to tell me You found your mate."

"Its just been two months since I found her."

"Two months?!" Mila asked outraged. She even didn't why she was overreacting because Hayden for sure was her best friend, as well as Ex but that was a long time ago. Was it because he found his mate? Or well because her own mate didn't claim her?

She was pulling out her clothes from the boxes.

"Hayden.," Jessica called him from downstairs.

"I think you should leave me alone for some time," Mila said not looking at him.

He just hugged her from behind. Mila tensed for a second but let the familiar feel settle in.

" I really missed you," he said placing a kiss in her hair.

Mila closed her door and crawled to her mattress and lying down. She was Thinking about what a sudden change of her plans was caused just in hours of entering blue dale. Now, she regretted coming here.

She wanted to talk to her mate. Clear things.

Josh was going through the trackers report about Jones family.

"What did Ella jones mean when she said this was her home?" Josh asked Peter.

Peter sighed and replied, " Ella was a former member of bluedale pack."

"Then how come she is a rouge now"

"She was a pack member and her mate belonged to the enemy pack back then, Westercrest."

"So, she ran away from the pack to be with her mate"

"Yes... But Andrew's pack that is westercrest couldn't accept her. So they both preferred to be Rouges than in any pack."

"Then why are they helping us?"

"She owes something to our pack she came to clear her debts."

Josh didn't like the way that sounded.

"You do know you have to tell me right?" Josh asked raising an eyebrow at him.

"There are few things even I don't know Josh"

"All I want to know is Can we trust them?" His wolf was angry at him for even questioning his mate.

"We can trust them...but keeping an eye on them doesn't harm anyone. Does it?" Peter asked.

Josh just nodded his head.

Ella was setting the dinner table, while Andrew was preparing tomato peach salad.

Mila couldn't feel Hayden and his mate in the house so she walked out of her room.

Ella gave Mila a bright smile which Mila tried but couldn't return back.

"Are you not well? You look pale... Sweety" Ella said in motherly concern.

"I am fine." Mila had to force those words out of her mouth.

Andrew sighed from the kitchen. Placing the salad bowl aside and removing his apron he said to Mila " I know it's a hard sweety. If you couldn't handle this... Or doesn't want to stay here. All you have to do is tell your dad."

Ella was about to object but kept quiet when Andrew short her a harsh glare.

"Well... I think I can manage. However, we would stay still the blood study and perfect analysis is done right?" She asked smiling at him.

"About that..." Andrew started, but Ella quickly cut in " Alpha Josh asked us to join the pack."

Mila let out a humorless chuckle. " Did he seriously think we would consider that?"

Their silence was an answer to her question.

"Please tell me you didn't agree." She begged them.

"We are joining the pack Mila. Zoey found her mate. This is my home... And your dad wants me happy and you could also join the pack until you find your mate"

Until you find your mate!!! Until you find your mate!!! These words kept repeating in her head.

"I.. I.. Can't be..." Mila was about to say but stopped when she felt her mate scent around. She turned to see that Zoey, Splash, and Josh were standing at the door.

Zoey felt bad really bad for her sister. She actually even felt guilty for finding her own mate before her sister.

It was a wonder that she didn't find her mate still now. A she-wolf would find her mate on or before she turns 20. But Mila didn't, which only means 'Either she found her mate and that as*hol* rejected her. Or, He is dead before he found her.'

"Oh... Please come in... We were setting the table. Mila honey please go get the salad from the kitchen counter." Ella said.

Mila threw her mother a glare but did as she was told.

Hayden and Jessica are just back in time, their fingers interlaced and with a goofy smile on their face.

Mila tensed, her eyes immediately found her mates. She dumped some food on her plate and was fast enough to escape but one glare from her mother she sat back.

'Mila... You okay?' Zoey linked her.

Mila gave her a smile and started poking her food with the fork.

"So... Jessica... Where are you from?" Ella started a conversation.

"Oh... I am from Dorton."

"Dorton?? I didn't know Hayden was in Dorton."

" I wasn't... We found each other in Springston. She is an artist. I met her at the theater. She is a pianist, she plays wonderfully." Hayden gushed about his mate.

'Is this even our Hayden?" Zoey mind linked her sister, her tone very surprised.

This however made Mila chuckle and Zoey soon followed.

Everyone started giving the siblings a look. The siblings just shrugged.

"I see the sibling linking and the inside jokes are still going on," Hayden said with a smile on his face.

"That is our thing," Zoey said chuckling.

"Was that joke about me?" Jessica asked her eyes narrowed down at Mila.

Josh didn't even know why was he sitting here and watching his mate in a foul mood.

"Pardon me. It's just my sister here wondering about what happened to the Hayden we knew" Mila said in a calm voice.

A growl interrupted whatever Jessica was about to say which came from Splash.

"Why are you wondering about him? I am your mate." Splash said annoyed.

Everyone else burst out into laughter while Zoey squeezed his hand from below the table.

"Don't worry Hayden... This sibling linking will soon stop."

"Why?" Zoey asked almost immediately.

Everyone was waiting for Mila to reply. Mila just raised her head from her plate gave a smile to her mom who trying to mind link with her and looked directly into Josh's eyes and said " Because I am not joining the pack... Not yet."
