Chapter 8 'Understanding'

Why did I do that, no I hurt her. f**k. Victor cannot come back here in our lives; he will destroy everything my father worked so hard to create. But how am I going to win her back? In my rage I hurt her, I lied to her and I let her down. Now as I sit here and stare at her sleeping, I feel guilt nothing but deep seeded guilt. 

"Why would you harm her Gideon? She has done nothing to provoke such anger from you." A soft voice said from the window. 

"Why are you here? Why are you trying to take my mate like you did to my father?" I am angry, so angry at her, at myself, at the unknown. "How can you tell her about my brother, turning her against me." 

"My child, I am doing none of those things. You do not know what the future has in store for you, Her and your lost brother and you do not know the past." she explained walking towards Sam. 

I could help but let out a loud growl. "Do not touch her." 

The Moon Goddess let out a soft laugh "I can and will touch my last true child Boy. I gave birth to her in the very woods you asked me for her. You promised to protect her, to love her yet here you are hurting her and breaking her heart. How would you feel if this were your child?" 

"I do love her. I did not mean to hurt her. I never wanted to hurt her." I said as the guilt wrapped itself around my heart. 

"You do not understand who she is and what she is meant to do. Do you even care to understand? Or would you like to continue your path, becoming your father. Losing the women, you love and killing the brother you don't know." She asked with her eyebrow raised in question. 

"Then explain it to me. Before she wakes explain your riddles to me." I demanded 

She rose to her feet and turned towards him, with an angry stern face she said "You will not address me so coldly Gideon, I can take just as quickly as I give. Do you understand me?" 

"Yes, Moon Goddess I understand, and I apologize." I said as I walked over to sit near Jane. 

"Good. Now I will tell you a story." She said as she took her seat back next to my mate lifting Sam's head and laying it on her lap, so she was able to run her fingers through her hair as she started telling her tale. "Many years ago, I can across a woman named Grace, she was a true believer. But she was wavering, you see she was not able to carry a child of her own. She had come to me for help, I agreed to help her, but she would have to do something for me in return. She agreed and I helped her carry twin boys who were both promised to my last child." she said with a smile as she looked down at Jane. 

"What did she give you in payment?" I asked already knowing what she gave.

She looked up at me with a smile, "You and your Brother." 

"Why did you want us?" I asked.

"You see child. Jane is my last true moon child. I cannot have anymore because of what your father has done. I knew this would happen when I was pregnant with her. I figured out how to repair the damage, but I needed two strong souls to guide my sweet child's. I chose you for your strength and courage and I chose your brother because of his kindness and willingness to give whatever it meant to save his people. But mainly it was because I knew you both would protect and love her with everything you had even if it meant one of you would only be a friend. I chose you two because you both are loyal." 

"Will she leave me? I can't bear to let her go." I said looking down. 

"You do not know she will leave you, but you need to make amends for your recent actions. But know once she meets your brother you must let her decide without guilt." She said as she laid Jane's head back on to the pillow. Standing up she looked at me and asked "Now, would you like to see Victor?" 

"Yes Goddess" I replied before she swept us away into her Eden. 

Waiting there in the meadow was Victor, I have not seen him in 4 years. I missed my brother, but I needed to make my father proud. It was hard picking between the two. But now I needed to make things right if it meant not losing the love of my life. 

"Brother." I said 

Victor turned around with a surprised face. He said nothing but moved quickly towards me. I prepared myself to be hit but instead Victor wrapped his arms around me and squeezed tightly.

 "Brother, how I have missed you." he said as he pulled away. "It's been too long. I want to apologize for taking her like I did. I did not know what she was to both of us until last night when the Moon Goddess summoned me here. Please forgive me brother." 

"I do forgive you for that, but not for killing father." I said with an angry tone. 

"Ah yes that, No Gideon Victor did not kill your father. Your mother decided he had done enough damage and asked me to call him home before he could inflect more." The goddess interrupted. 

"I had my brother banished for years because of this. Victor please forgive me." I said with shame. 

"Nothing to forgive brother, as I said she has told me everything. I would like to meet our mate." he said "And I would like to catch up with you. I want us to be happy, a family and to repair the damage our father caused. Our mother worked hard to keep the old ways alive before she passed. it is up to us to fix it." 

"Please allow me to speak to Jane first. I have done things I need to make amends for." I said

"Jane, is that her name?" Victor asked. 

"Yes, that is her name. She is a good kind and loving women." I said with a smile. "Mother can you please send me back so I may try and fix the damage I have caused to her?" 

"Yes Child. I will bring Victor to you both in exactly 2 hours. Do you understand?" she asked

 "Yes of course." I said before I was placed back in my room. Looking over at the sofa it was empty. I went into a panic. "Jane!! Where are you??" 

The closet door began slowly opening as Jane stepped out slowly with her head dropped and she was shaking. "I'm sorry, I was just looking for clean clothing so I could change after a shower." 

I did not say anything I just quickly walked towards her and dropped to my knees in front of her feet. "I beg you to forgive me. I lied and I hurt you. I know I do not deserve your forgiveness, but I am asking for it regardless. Please." 

"I don't understand why you acted that way towards me Gideon. I was coming back to you so I could talk to you and try to understand what was going on, instead I was dragged home and you hit me." she said with a cool tone. 

" I am sorry, so sorry I should have never laid a hand on you in anger, I will do whatever you'd like me to. Please listen." I said as I began explaining everything that the Moon Goddess had told me. I was still on my knees in front of her with my head bowed. I knew I was going to lose her, but I was not ready. Neither way Gabriel. Without warning he took control. 

"Little one, please forgive us. We acted without thinking. We promise to never harm you in anyway and we promise to never touch you again without your permission." Gabriel chocked out the last part. It was hard to say but if it meant her staying with us, we could take the punishment.

"Gabriel... " She breathed as she dropped to her knees in font from of us. Grabbing our face, she placed a feather soft kiss to our lips. "I forgive you, this one time. But if it happens again, I will not be so understanding. I cannot bear the thought of never having your touch again. Please do not stop." she said as she rubbed her thumb up and down our cheek. 

"We love you. More than you will ever know." Gabriel said as he wrapped his arms around her pulling her on to their lap. Placing soft kisses to her lips, cheeks, neck and down on to her chest. He rested his head over her heart and just listened until Gideon took control back. "Please forgive me Jane. I was wrong in so many ways. I lied to you and I hit you. You do not have to forgive me and but please allow me to I work the rest of my life making it up to you." 

Her arms squeezed tighter around my neck, "Gideon, I love you and I forgive you. This one time." 

"You’re too good for me." I said pulling back and looking at her beautiful face. 

She leaned and kissed me. It was strong, passionate and demanding. I got up off the floor with her wrapped around me and walked over to the bed, laying her down I removed her robe and began trailing kisses down her body until I reached the sweet apex between her legs, moving her legs on to my shoulders I dipped down to taste her sweet juice's. I could feel her body react to my touch, hearing her soft moan I slipped two fingers inside of her, moving slowing in and out and took her c**t back into my mouth. Her hands wrapped themselves in my hair and pulled, I growled over her c**t and she moaned louder, her hips began swaying back and forth as her climax built. I inserted my thumb into her rear and worked in and out faster and harder, she exploded around me. After she was finished with her climax, I trailed kisses back up her body before scooping her up. She protested and pushed me onto the bed. 

She sat up on her knees and started removing my clothing, "My love you do not have to do this, I want to make you feel good." I said 

"Shhh, I need this as much as you do." She said as she pushed my pants and boxers down freeing my throbbing member. She slowly climbed on top of me and lowered herself and until I was fully seated inside of her. Her motions where slow and soft but I could tell she was becoming frustrated, so I sat up placing her on her stomach and taking her from behind. I started slow but grew more egger with every thrust, harder faster until we both came undone screaming each other’s names. Once we had finished, I started a warm shower and set her in. I washed her hair and her body before stepping out and drying her off. 

"Victor and Mother will be here anytime now, can I help you dress?" I asked 

"No, it’s alright I am just going to put a t-shirt and leggings on." She said with a sweet smile. 

"Okay, I love you." I said 

" I love you." she said before exiting the washroom, "Oh hello mother, it is nice to see you again." 

I came out with a towel wrapped around my waist to see my brother and the Moon Goddess standing by the fireplace in my room. As I stepped closer to Jane, I heard a low growl coming from Victors direction. I smiled kissed her head and went to find clothing. 

"Hello, my child, are you well?" She asked Jane while looking in my direction. 

"Yes Mother, I am better now. We are better now." Jane replied as she looked towards my brother. "Victor it’s nice to meet you in person." 

"It's nice meeting you as well. I was hoping we could talk privately." he said "If that is alright with you and our Goddess." 

"Of course, Gideon can show me the garden while you two sit and talk." she said with a smile as she walked towards me. I did not want to leave my mate, but I knew it needed to be done. Jane walked over to me kissing me softly ignoring my brothers growls I wrapped my arms around her and deepened the kiss. She pulled away and looked up at me saying "I love you, behave. I would like to talk to you later, alone." 

"I love you too." I said before walking out of the room leaving them alone.
