Chapter 4 'The Challenge'

Dear Moon Goddess, thank you for giving me such a beautiful kind mate. I know I am hard and cold sometimes, but I swear I will never be that way with her. You can trust me to guide our Luna through life without harm.

I started walking back to our room, she should be ready, and I need to ask her something important. I opened the doors to see her standing in front of the mirror and she was perfect. She looked like an angel.

"Do you think he'll like it?" she asked Lola. Who spotted me and stepped back bowing her head?

"I think you look Beautiful Jane." I wanted to say more but I did not want to end up ripping it off her. "But your missing something" I said as I placed my mother’s ring on the tip of her finger. "Will you be my life mate? My Wife?" I was so nervous she was going to say no.

"Yes" she said with tears falling down her face. I pushed the ring on to her finger and kissed her with passion.

"We are going to be late, let’s go my love." I said as I tucked her hand in mine.

We were walking down the stairs and all eyes were on my Mate. Like they should be, this was the first time the pack would meet their Luna. The all bowed their heads and smiled. Welcoming her into our world. Then I spotted him. Carl.

That son of b***h thinks he can walk into my territory! Moving through the crowd towards us I moved Jane behind me, and my firsts came to my side sensing there was something wrong.

"What are you doing in my territory without permission?" I growled. I could feel Jane grab onto my back hiding from him.

"I came to collect what is mine. We have a mating ceremony to get to." Carl said with a sly smile looking around me at her. "Oh, and you have her dressed for me already? Thoughtful of you Black."

"She's my mate, you won’t be taking her anywhere." I said trying to keep my control "She wears my mark. You cannot claim her any longer."

You can see the anger radiating off Carl "YOU WHAT?" he yelled "She is MINE! How dare you mark my property!"

"She is not yours Carl. Leave now." I said my control was slipping

"I am going to f**k you up Jane! Come here now!" He yelled at her. I could feel her jump and push her face harder into my back. No one speaks to my mate like that. I lost all control and shifted. Planting myself between Carl and My mate.

"What are you going to do boy? I am older and stronger than you!" Carl said as he shifted into a Red wolf.

's**t, I was going to have a huge mess to clean up' I thought to myself. Before I could jump on Carl a wolf with blue and white markings jumped and attacked Carl.

Carl was being ripped apart, thrown into walls and eventually out of the window, the mystery wolf followed and finished the job, my firsts shifted, and we all prepared to fight whoever attacked Carl. We heard the doorknob turning and in walked Jane. My pack immediately shifted back and knelt before her. She approached me and ran her hands through my fur. "Come back to me my love" she whispered. I shifted back standing in front of her. I took her hands and knelt with the rest of my people.

"Gideon what are you doing?" she asked

"He is giving you the respect you deserve Jane Adan last of the true Moon children" A soft musical voice said. I turned to see who was speaking to me. She was beautiful.

"Who are you?" I asked

"I am the mother of all wolves; I am your maker. I am the Moon Goddess" She replied with a smile. I went to bow but she took my hand and stopped me.

"No my child you do not need to bow in front of me." she said with a smile "I am just here to show you support, to give my blessing for the union with Gideon Black and to wish you well. I know you will do many great things." with that she was gone. I looked down to see Gideon still kneeling. I touched his shoulder and he looked at me, "My sweet mate please stand." I said

"All of you please stand. I am not here to rule over you, I am here with my life mate to guild you. To help you through this life until we are able to go home to our mother." I said as everyone started standing and staring at me.

We spent the rest of our night eating, talking, laughing and dancing. I was so sore and wanted a hot bath. With everything that happened tonight I was over loaded.

"Luna, what will you have us do with former Alpha Carl's body?" one of Gideon's firsts asked me.

"Please, take him and send if off properly, even though he meant harm he is still kin and needs to be judged by our mother." I replied.

"Yes Luna" he said as he bowed and turned walking out of the ballroom.

I turned to see Gideon smiling at me, I walked over and wrapped my arms around his waist.

With a sigh "Can we go take a bath now?" I asked

"Of course," he replied as she scooped me up and took me to our room. "I will get the water going, do you need help underdressing?"

"No, I will meet you in there." I said with a smile.

I walked into the bathroom to find him already waiting in our bubble bath, he held his hand out to help me in. I settled myself between his legs and laid my head back on to his chest, I let out a deep breath. Finally, I was able to relax.

"Jane." he said "Why didn’t you tell me who you were?"

I looked up at him and turned around so I was sitting on his lap wrapping my legs around his waist, I took a deep breath before saying "I didn't know who I was, I just knew my wolf looked different from everyone else. My parents always me to hide my form from people I did not trust. Carl did not even know. Which is probably a good thing now." she paused for a moment "Are you angry with me?"

"No baby no, never. I just want you to understand who and what you mean to me and the rest of the wolves out there>" He explained. I gave him a confused look and he took a deep breath before continuing. "You are the last of your kind. Thousands of years ago the Moon Goddess created The Moon Children, you have the power to create new wolves with a single bite. Your kind was created because the humans found out what we were and hunted us down wiping out one pack after the other. Our Mother did not like this, so she created Moon Children to replenish the wolf’s population. Your kind have died out since then." he finished

"Why did my kind die out?" she asked

"You can only become pregnant once a year during the last Full moon. It is a hard and rare thing, but it can happen." he looked down at our hands "If you want to have children." 

" I want to have your children Gideon." She said with a smile.

That made Gideon happier than Jane could ever know. "We can try next year, the moon phase has already passed, until that we can practice." he said with a wicked smile. "But first there is something I need to tell you about me and my need to dominate you in our bedroom."

"Instead of telling me." I said as I ran my hand down his chest to his thick throbbing shaft "How about you show me?" 

Before I could blink, he had me pinned the bed, cuffing my hands and feet to the bed, I was laid out for him to take, however he wanted. I wanted to be dominated by him in every way possible.
