The Mystery of the Golden Door

"When there is fog around, go inside the house immediately and do not go out. because when it catches up with you it will take you somewhere else." I still remember my mother's instructions to me every time it misted in our place that was still far from town. because of such seasons there is often fog around. it was like a white cloud coming down to the earth and covering the whole atmosphere. so at times like this my brothers and I would not go out because we were scared. Our place is quiet, far from the town. It is surrounded by trees and extensive farms. Different types and colors of flowers can also be seen around. Our home also overlooks the vast forest. it is rich in fruits, animals and water. It is also entertaining to watch the birds fly above the trees. its chirps seem to sing and go with the wind. not far away is also good to hear the murmur of water in the stream in conjunction with the running deer within the forest. you will also feel the fresh air that provides comfort to people working on their farms. This is life here in our village. One day my mother ordered me to fetch firewood from the forest because the fuel we use for cooking is out. I obeyed her command and quickly went to the forest with the rope and bolo. it also rained continuously for several days so I also had a hard time finding dry wood at those moments. I just kept walking until I reached the dead narra tree its dry branches were scattered around and one by one I picked them up. Fortunately, I reached that tree. while I was busy picking up dry branches, I was not aware that it had just begun to mist and the fog began to come out, accompanied by a seemingly wailing gust of wind. I was stunned for a moment when I could feel the cold breeze of air biting my skin. I was so shocked when I looked around. "Oh! the fog! how is that now? I'm still here in the forest." I said to myself. At the same time I already felt scared. my chest throbs with extreme worry. by that time I was surrounded by thick fog with its sheer thickness I could no longer see the trees around and even the way home I could no longer see too. There was nothing I could do I had to face the fear so I continued what I was doing. I gathered all the dry branches I could find and tied them up Then I picked it up and laid it on my shoulder and I began to walk in the thick fog. I struggled to make my way home. Even though it was cold at that time I could still feel the sweat dripping down my body maybe it was because of fear. But I didn’t care about it anymore because I thought I just needed to get home and get back to our house. A moment later I noticed something in my walk. it seems that the path I am treading has suddenly changed. even though I can’t see what’s around me I still feel weird. I looked at my path again because I felt it was no longer earth. but it was also covered with thick dew. I immediately stopped and lowered my load of firewood to the ground first. I knelt down and touched the ground and I was amazed because I felt like it wasn’t muddy ground. I could feel its sheen. Even before I was standing the fog was slowly disappearing, it slowly rose up and spread into the clouds. little by little I also began to see the things around me "My God Where am I? What is this place I have been to?" The only thing I said when the whole environment was exposed to me. it is different from the forest from which I come. everything here that I see is new to my sight. I was really amazed and couldn't believe what was happening especially with the things I had just seen. From my vantage point I can see the wide and straight road made of pure gold. its direction is west, to my left and right I can see six tall medieval towers even though they are also made of gold. The sights I see are so weird I can’t quite imagine how I got to that place. "Good day to you my friend." said the voice coming from behind me. When I turned around I saw a creature. his face was gentle and had porcelain -like skin. his hair was blonde straight and long. I also noticed the strange shape of his ear which was long and at the end of it was sharp. I knew he was a warrior because of his attire. he carried his shield and hung around his waist the glowing sword. I was kind to him so I didn't feel scared and maybe it was because of his gentle face. "I know you're new to this place." he continued. I just nodded and he continued speaking. "I am Dwarfino the guardian and ruler of the kingdom of Dwarnia." "I'm sorry if I disturbed you ... I don't intend to enter your kingdom. My mother just ordered me to take firewood from the forest. I don't know how I got lost in this place. Maybe I got lost. because of the thick fog that covered the whole forest ” As I explained to him. No trace of anger could be seen on his face. he understands my explanation. Dwarfino is a creature that is not of our kind. he is an elf who rules the kingdom of Dwarnia. because of his own intellect and kindness, the respect given to him by the inhabitants of that kingdom was thus known. Dwarfino invited me to their kingdom and I agreed. As we walked the golden road we continued our conversation. and he did tell me about the savior who was spoken of in their prophecy that they had long awaited in his appointed time. Based on his treatment of me I came to know that I was the savior he was referring to in their prophecy. I was confused because I did not know what to do but I could see in his eyes the great joy when I arrived in their kingdom. I cannot fully comprehend why I was chosen by destiny to be the savior of the inhabitants of that kingdom nor could I even save myself from the insults of the judgmental people of our world. "Are you tired?" Dwarfino asked noticing that I was no longer speaking because I was thinking about the things he had told me. "Don't worry we're close." He continued I think we also walked five hours on that golden road. maybe because the said place was new to me so I didn't feel tired. it's just as entertaining to look at the sights around. sights you won’t see in the world of humans. after a while we reached the end of the road we were on. striking the surroundings wrapped in what seemed to be golden sand. every grain of it glows which illuminates the whole surroundings "Here we are ..." Dwarfino said happily. As I looked around the whole environment, I frowned because I saw no kingdom but towering walls made of gold. I turned my gaze to Dwarfino who this time was busy picking up the gold powders scattered around. "Where is the kingdom you say?" I asked him. He just smiled at me and his eyes seemed to tell me to just wait and see what happens next. I was nervous at those times but I forced myself to calm down. from sitting down for taking the gold powders Dwarfino stood up. he held in his right hand a handful of gold powder. he spoke to them in their language which means My eyes were wide open at those times. I didn’t blink for a second and didn’t really miss the magic that was currently going on. Dwarfino and I approached the gold door and this time I clearly caught a glimpse of the strange door formed from gold powder. There are designs engraved on it and every part glows especially when it is exposed to light. He opened the said door and we went inside. The surroundings were dark and quiet and the temperature seemed to slowly drop with each step we took into it. After a while we were far from the door we had entered. if you look at it it is small and can be compared to a matchbox As Dwarfino and I entered, it seemed to take us somewhere else. We continued walking until we could no longer see the golden door. The temperature dropped even more and I could already feel the cold. It was still dark all around and when I looked up I could see stars in the sky. It just indicates that it was night in that place. At that moment I slowly began to see things around me. I also notice other trees that are already freezing in the extreme cold. I also felt tired and could hardly move my legs but my companion Dwarfino was still strong. It didn’t seem to care about the extreme cold. Maybe it's because of this skill. A few steps later Dwarfino stopped. He turned to me and seemed to have something to say. "Let's rest first and tomorrow we'll move on." He said. I could only nod in response to him because I seemed to have lost my voice. Maybe that's because of the cold. Not far from where we were standing I noticed a house made of stone. It seemed like no one lived in that house so we just spent the night there. I didn't know that that house belonged to Dwarfino and that it came from his ancestors. that's why he knows the ins and outs of the house. "GOLDEN DOOR, TAKE ME TO THE PLACE I WANT TO GO." And then he threw it into the air. I was amazed because it was a strange magic I could see. The gold powders thrown by Dwarfino seemed to have lives. It followed the wind and gradually formed as a door made of pure gold. My eyes were wide open at those times. I didn’t blink for a second and didn’t really miss the magic that was currently going on. "I'm sure it'll be twice as cold tomorrow because I feel like Queen Snofera has already found out about the coming of the savior mentioned in the prophecy ..." Dwarfino was stunned for a moment. From looking out the window he turned his gaze to me and continued speaking. "... your arrival!" What he was saying at those times puzzled me again. "Why? Who is Queen Snofera? What has she got to do with prophecy?" I asked this question to myself. Dwarfino approached me and sat in a chair in front of me. Slowly he drank a small cup of tea that was in his hand and began to tell stories about the life of Queen Snofera. Snofera was the powerful queen who ruled the Nyebian kingdom. He was the younger brother of Apollo who ruled the kingdom of Ferian. The two just don't really get along because of the power they have and this is always the root of their quarrel The dispute between the two has caused a problem faced by the residents of the neighboring city and town of Dwarnia. Queen Snofera knew that she would not be the winner in the battle set by prophecy. So that's just how angry it is. I just listened to Dwarfino and I learned from his story that my life in that world would be dangerous. I knew they needed me and they depended on me. But I am afraid for myself because I am just an ordinary earthly person and I have no power like the creatures in that world. Those things were all I could think about that night until I fell asleep. The next day when I woke up I could hardly move my whole body because of the extreme cold I was feeling. My muscles were numb, I could still feel the cold even though I was wearing thick clothes. Dwarfino was right when he said that it was twice as cold that day. The stone house was almost covered with thick snow. only the roofs and chimneys can be seen outside. From my vantage point I could see Dwarfino who was extremely anxious as he took a walk around the house. he seemed to be looking for something. "My friend! What's the matter? I noticed your anxiety and you can't be bothered to walk here inside your house?" I asked him. Dwarfino stopped walking and looked at me intently. "I know Queen Snofera is preventing us from getting out so we can't get to town" he replied to me. At that moment the weather outside was clear and the snow stopped falling. The sun was also up in the blue sky and the stone house was sinking in the thick snow from the outside, only the roof could be seen above. that's why Dwarfino could no longer open the doors and windows. Inside the house, I still couldn't leave the corner where I slept. Dwarfino was still looking for a way for us to get out of that house. I forced myself to move my body because I noticed that I seemed to be stiffening in the extreme cold. I stood up and saw the chimney. I went for it because I wanted to feel the heat and in those moments my body was shaking. All I could think was that there was a fire burning inside the chimney but I was wrong. even in its very interior is also cold. I saw some firewood on the side of it and I immediately took it to light a fire so we could feel the heat inside the house. When I started to light the firewood I was suddenly stunned because I had already figured out a way for us to get out of that house. I called Dwarfino and he immediately approached me. "What if we went through here so we could get out of this house." I pointed to the chimney. "Of course! Why didn't I even think about it before. It's a good thing you thought about it." Dwarfino replied cheerfully. We had just started to enter the entrance of the chimney when something suddenly fell inside it coming from above. it was the end of the rope that seemed to have been deliberately thrown inside. "Dwarfino .... Are you there inside?" The voice is echoing inside and it even came from above the chimney. Dwarfino looked at the rope and uttered a name "Aris!" he said. Dwarfino looked again and smiled at me and signaled that we were going to climb to the top with that rope. Therefore Aris owned that rope. He also threw it from the top of the chimney and he was a friend of Dwarfino. When we got out of the stone house, a thick layer of snow came into view. It covers the whole environment and no matter where you turn your eyes you can see only pure snow. Its white is dazzling especially when it is hit by sunlight. it shines like diamonds. In the distance I noticed a creature standing to one side. Like Dwarfino, he is also a warrior because of his attire. His long hair is black, his eyes are round and his nose is also piercing. his face was clean and clear and his whole body was covered with iron. Dwarfino introduced me to him and I found out that it was Aris who helped us get out of the stone house. Aris paid his respects to me by bowing. Even though his face is stern, I know that his will is good and kind. The two talked and Aris reported what happened in town. "We need to get to town as soon as possible." Dwarfino's immediate response. At that moment we were still on the roof of the stone house. I thought, how could we get to town when the whole environment was already covered in thick snow and I made sure we would not be able to travel it. As I thought about those things the whistling Aris echoed into my ear. He seemed to have something to call while looking at the sky. Eventually I saw a creature descend from the clouds. At first I thought it was a bird because of its wings but when I saw it up close I was very surprised because it was not a bird. the stories about the unicorn are true because this is what my eyes can see. A large and stout horse with a horn in the middle of its forehead known as the unicorn landed in front of us. its lush wings are attractive and its white feathers are dazzling. I think Aris took care of it. The three of us rode on the said unicorn and headed to town. Every flap of his wings seemed like a storm passing by because of its strong wind. My whole body trembled more not because I was scared of the height of our flight but because of the extreme cold biting into my skin. From the sky I could see the whole land of Dwarnia and it was very wide as I expected. Half of the Land was covered in snow and the other half seemed to be burning black and smoky. Between the two lands is the town and city of Dwarnia as well as their kingdom. In those moments I noticed Dwarfino's teary eyes. I felt the weight and pain in his chest because of what had happened to their kingdom. When we arrived in town, I could see that the Dwarnians were in a commotion. Lots of dead scattered around, crying children and begging mothers. They were attacked by the Pestinians, their mortal enemy. They even came from the kingdom of Insektokania. I did not know that they are the real enemies of the three kingdoms. The kingdom of Nyebian, Ferian and Dwarnia. We landed on the roof of a house in the middle of the city. Dwarfino and Aris immediately went down to help their comrades in the fight against the Pestinians. I was about to go down when Dwarfino stopped me because he wanted to ensure my safety. so I was left riding the unicorn and we flew upwards again. From the air I could see Dwarfino and his comrades fighting against the Pestinian. my two eyes could see their skill and fighting spirit. The Pestinians are strange creatures. It has four hands and long legs. they will be fierce like tigers and lions in the forest. its skins were wrinkled and black in color but in spite of everything the warriors in the kingdom of Dwarnia did not budge so they were defeated by them. They won that battle and these are all events my eyes witnessed. I also smiled as I watched the happy faces of the people of Dwarnia. After a while I again heard Aris whistling as if carried by the wind in the air. he called his unicorn and we went down and landed in front of him. From the town we proceeded to the kingdom of Dwarnia. Far away, the consequences of the battle have already been revealed to us. The walls surrounding the kingdom were destroyed, even its neighboring buildings were also destroyed. We continued walking and when we entered the kingdom one by one the creatures who were there bowed in homage and respect to Dwarfino. Dwarfino is known as a good and kind ruler of the kingdom so that's how much respect the people of Dwarnia give him. We went straight inside and there I met Argo, Eshmael, Zadim and Obed. The talented and skillful warriors in the kingdom of Dwarnia and close friends of Aris and Dwarfino. Dwarfino also introduced me to his girlfriend Amara who is a very beautiful creature, her hair is long reaching to her waist, her angelic face is clear. There was a surrounding gem that rested on top of her head and its beauty became even more apparent because of her attire. there are also diamonds glued to it. "I'm glad you're coming here to our kingdom, earthling." she said after Dwarfino introduced me. How nice to hear her voice in my ears. as if I were talking to an angel who came down to earth. They received me warmly and they all paid their respects to me by bowing. I can’t believe this is going to happen in my life. I am very innovative because I am not used to being given that much respect and esteem because in our world I am just an ordinary person who is not given much value and attention. I’m used to being alone, not having too many friends and always being insulted. Sometimes I would rather be alone than be with people you can't count on, sometimes despite the good you have done to them, in the end you still become bad for them. Unlike the creatures here in Dwarnia that even though I am not of their kind, they still treat me well. I was also silent for a few minutes. I forgot that there were creatures bent over in front of me waiting for my response. "Oh! I'm sorry ... thank you so much for your warm welcome to me." when my spirit returned I immediately told them. Dwarfino approached and his friends followed. "We need to celebrate our victory today ..." he said. Everyone agreed. You can see the happy faces of each other and the drawing smile on their lips. Despite everything I thought again about prophecy because up until that time I was still confused because I didn’t know how I could fulfill it. I approached him and found out that he was a hermit who was Dwarfino's advisor. "I don't know what to do, I'm scared and confused. I don't know how I can fulfill the role given to me." I immediately told him. "Everything has a set time. It comes to us spontaneously. Sometimes there are questions in our minds that we also have the answer to but we still do not see and know it. Not everything that our heart sees is also seen in our eyes. Everyone shouted happily along with the sound of drums. everyone happily celebrates the victory achieved in battle. A great feast took place that day in the kingdom of Dwarnia.
