The girl who is beyond brave

Running through the woods trying to escape a man that I once called my "Father" out in a rain storm , Running as fast as my feet would take me . Feeling the burning sensation of my muscles aching Dodging tree branches and stepping in muddy puddles just trying to get away from this monster . My Father began yelling " You can run but you will never be able to escape me ! You hear me Avaline !? My heart ached at how venomous his words were . But I wasn't going to let that stop me now..... not after I know what he had done to my mother .... And what he was planning on doing to me ..... I kept on pushing my legs to take me further and faster away from this bastard . As I was running I could hear him and his men gaining on me . My heart pounding in my ears , My heart felt like it was going to explode at any second . I finally had the courage to look back while still running , And just Saw him staring at me with a big grin on his face ... Had me wondering what made him so happy at that exact moment ?! And that's when I felt the earth drop right from under me . Before even realising it I had just ran off of a cliff .....A f*****g cliff ...! A scream rippled out of my throat like I was gasping for air .My lungs were on fire and my body was numb . And my life had flashed before my eyes . And then everything went dark .... Nothing but darkness had surrounded me . And all I could think about was my mother . What would she do ? Where would we be right now ? Why didn't I protect her ? While deep in my thought I felt like a giant weight was on my chest ... And it began to make it hard to breath . Then my eyes shot open and I realized I was under water . As I tried to swim up I realized that my jacket was caught on something . As I struggle to get the jacket off I realize that I am becoming light headed . But my only instinct was to stay alive . So I tossed and turned and wriggled my little body free from it. I finally got it off and swam up to the surface as fast as my legs could kick could . As I reach the surface I inhaled a lung full of fresh air and it was like breathing in heaven . Laying there back floating in the water for a while catching my breath and letting my lungs have a break was wonderful . I was at peace for the moment ! Until I heard a twig snap in the distance And brought me back on full alert ...... Sitting up and realizing that "He" was still after me I swam out of the lake dripping and cold from the rain . I kept on running until my legs couldnt run anymore . After about 30 minutes of running I ran into a diner. As I walk in I was met with strange stares and a welcoming server . I greeted the server kindly and politely asked for the restroom keys . As soon as she hands me the keys I rush into the bathroom and started to air dry my clothes . I know I needed to get out of here soon because he could arrive here at any moment and the thought terrified me . I quickly dryed the money that I had on me so I could catch the nearest bus out of here . As soon as I was saftley on the bus and made sure he was no where in sight i lay my head against the window and as soon as the bus took off the swaying of the bus soon put me to sleep .
