Genevieve's pov
"Have you heard about the news?" Shai texted me and I immediately grabbed the tv remote and opened it.
"Attention, this is live to all tv screens and we're announcing that we will create a power for a human, it is time we gain power for our benefit, for us to be powerful. Soon we will all be equal and there will be no more crimes nor deaths. We will find people who are suited enough for experiment. Do not worry, it will not hurt and that's all. Goodmorning, Good afternoon and Good evening to everyone."
I closed the tv and my face curled into a confused reaction.
powers huh?
I grabbed my phone and texted our group chat only to find them talking about the news.
Nicole: This is why scientists are so weird.
I laughed at her message.
Shai: Yeah i know like how do u do that???? we're just humans.
Genevieve: Yeah i know right?
Shai: I heard they're gonna pick random people in school tommorow.
Nicole: Nah bye
I put my phone on my pocket and went upstairs to my room. I closed the door and sat on my desktop and open my computer.
I searched for the news and clicked one website.
"Tired of your boring routine every day? Join the experiment now to have powers!" I scoffed at the website description and my attention flew to the comments.
"Will the experiment hurt?"
"Do we have to pay?"
"Interested."
I scrolled down more until I went to the deepest of it and there was a sentence.
"We will find perfect people for the experiment and give them a powerful magic for themselves to help our people and stop crimes."
I closed the website and played a game instead.
Elysia's pov
I look at the cloudy sky slowly becoming darker and winds whooshing around the area. The stars sparkled up in the black abyss of the sky and it looks magical as usual.
I sighed and looked at my watch, it's already 6:23pm and Ethan is still not here, he said 6 sharp.
I looked behind me and saw my house. I was about to walk back to my house when I suddenly heard a car honk which made me jump and I turned my back with a frown but my face softened when I saw Ethan getting out of the sports car.
"Hey Elysia, sorry I wasn't in time, me and my brother Ivan fought so I used his car as a revenge to him." He said and smiled, showing his beautiful dimple.
"It's fine, thanks for showing up." he opened the car door and I went inside.
The car's scent hit my nose and I immediately relaxed from the manly scent and I saw him in my peripheral vision looking at me before he starts his car.
I looked up the sky and saw orion's belt that has three close star which always reminds me of Shai, Nicole and Genevieve, my girls.
"Heard about the news?" My attention turned to him as he broke the silence between us.
"Oh yeah, I heard about it it's pretty interesting."
"yeah i know right, they said that they will pick random people in every school tommorow." He glanced at me before turning his eyes back into the road.
After minutes of another awkward silence, we finally reached the restaurant and he parked on a reserved lot. He got out first and opened the door for me and I held his hands.
We went inside the restaurant and sat near the window and he raised his arm to call for a waiter.
"Are you interested about it?" He asked and I looked at him.
"Yeah of course I mean this is the first time that it's actually real." he chuckled and I just smiled at him.
I took a sip of the water that the waiter gave us and I glanced at him and catched my breath when I caught him staring at me.
"You're beautiful, don't hide it." I blushed even more by what he said and I began to stutter.
"W-what? I'm not trying to hide it and yeah I am beautiful, thanks for reminding me." I cleared my throat and he just chuckled.
Our foods finally arrived, his order was a greek salad while mine is Alfredo pasta. we began to eat silently and I took a bite of my pasta.
I grabbed a garlic bread and ate it while looking outside window admiring the city lights and the stary night sky.
"Is your food good?" I looked at him.
"Yeah, it's delicious." He smiled at me.
"I dont really know what to say." I added.
"Well to be honest me too, I'm too speechless and too distracted by your beauty." I laughed at his corny speech.
"Wow I didnt know you were corny." A chuckle escaped his lips while his eyes are fixated on me.
"I'm not lying though." I blushed again and I heard him chuckling more.
I just shrugged my shoulders while smiling and I continued to eat my pasta.
After the date
"It's really fun to be with you, we should do this again shall we?" I smiled at him and nod my head.
"Yeah it was fun and sure let's do this again."
"Just chat me when you're free." he kissed my hands and I watched him walk away and go back to his car, I went inside my house screaming silently while feeling a lot of goosebumps because of blushing too much.
I ran to my room and jumped on my bed. I was about to chat genevieve but I saw her status with a sleeping emoji so I just let her and called Shai.
