I had made a promise to myself when I walked into the car with Alpha Bale. I promised myself that I would not be carrying my baggage into the home. The baggage that I Brought with me from this trip, and that refers to the emotional baggage that I happen to be carrying thanks to my unfortunate experiences.
And I really thought Laden was about to change my night when he tried to steal me from the table, but of all times there had to be an emergency drive back home, it just had to happen right then.
