VENUS ATHLEA SARVANTES
Even though I didn't want to go to school early, I had to because of the upcoming school festival. I'm part of the student council, and believe it or not, I'm the President, while my cousin is the Vice President. I called a meeting with the entire school council because I needed to inform them about the upcoming event. After a while, they all arrived, including the twins. Once everyone was present, I greeted them.
"Good morning, I have a special announcement today, and it's all about our school festival," I began. I saw my cousin raise her hand. "President, have you made a list of who will be in charge of setting up the booths for each year level?" she asked seriously, and I smiled at her. "Yes, but I've made some changes. Instead of having booths for each year level, we'll be doing it per department, and the department with the most beautiful theme will receive a surprise," I replied, and she nodded. "We need to announce this to the entire department ASAP because it's going to happen next week," I continued, and Zyla, the secretary, raised her hand. "Ms. President, isn't this a bit rushed? We might struggle with the preparations, especially with the booths," she said, and I smiled before responding. "Then make it happen. I trust you all, and I know you can do it," I replied, and no one else spoke up. When we were done, I dismissed them. Only my cousin, the twins, and I were left. I noticed they seemed like they wanted to say something to me. "Yes?" I asked, while signing the funds for the festival. "Venus, why is the school festival being rushed? It's supposed to be next month," Zhia asked, and I paused what I was doing. "I'm just following the instructions of the school president," I replied and continued signing. "Hey, cousin, your phone is ringing," my cousin suddenly said, and I noticed Athena's name on the screen. I smiled, and I caught my cousin giving me a peculiar look, but I ignored it. "I'll just answer it," I said, and before they could ask any questions, I walked away from them.
"Hello," I answered the call. "Hi," Athena replied cheerfully, and I smiled. "What's up?" I asked immediately, feeling my cousin's eyes on me. "How are you?" Athena asked. "I'm fine. How about you? And I miss you," I said suddenly, and there was a pause on the other end. "I miss you too, wifey," Athena said, and I couldn't help but smile widely. I noticed my cousin's look, which seemed to say "you'll have to explain this to me." "Bye, wifey. I'll call you later," Athena said, and hung up. I put my phone back in my pocket. When I returned, my cousin blocked my way, looking at me intensely. "What's up, cousin?" I asked curiously, and she raised an eyebrow. "Who were you talking to?" she asked immediately, and I smiled at her question. "Athena," I replied truthfully, and she was taken aback but asked another question. "Why did she call you?" she asked. "Just checking in," I replied, heading back to my seat because I had a lot to take care of. "Nothing else?" she asked, and I just nodded.
ALEXANDRA CHLOE SARVANTES
I've been noticing something strange about Venus, and I don't know if I should be happy or not. Every night, I hear her talking to someone on the phone, and I notice a sparkle in her eyes that I've never seen before. "Alex, have you noticed anything strange about Venus?" Zyla asked, and I looked at her. I know she has feelings for my cousin, but Venus is just oblivious and slow. "Yes, why?" I asked curtly, and she smiled sadly at me. "Nothing," she replied briefly and walked out of the office. I'm now with Zhia. "You're so hot-headed," she said softly, and I just rolled my eyes. "You don't understand," I said curtly and walked out, noticing that she was following me. "Stop following me, Zhia May," I said firmly, facing her, but she just smiled sweetly at me. I raised an eyebrow and left her.
ZHIA MAY VASQUEZ
She's always been hot-headed, but that's okay. I won't give up until after graduation. I watched her until she was out of sight, and then I headed to the departments assigned to me. I quickly gathered the information they needed for their booths and will make a report. When will she be mine?
ZYLA MAE VASQUEZ
Am I already caught?
"I'm doing everything just to get her to notice the love I'm giving her. I know Venus is in love, and it's painful to know that she already loves someone else. I don't know how she fell in love with that person, but I know they're not together yet, and I know I still have a chance. What's even more painful is that I don't know who my competitor is. I'm not assuming that Venus is already in love, but I can see it in her eyes, especially when she's talking to the person who always calls her. I'll make sure she'll be mine as long as she's not with him yet. But when I know they're together, I'll be the one to willingly let go. But I'm really curious about who she's always talking to, and every time they finish talking, Venus smiles so widely. I'll find out who it is, and I'll take matters into my own hands, but before that, I'll take care of the school festival first. While there's life, there's hope - that's always etched in my mind."
